Can i Upgrade CS student to CS4 for the upgrade price???
I have Creative Suite 1 standard(student edition). I want to upgrade to CS4 premium (orig or student). Can I purchase it for the upgrade price or do i have to pay full???
The academic versions can be upgraded to commercial versions. There are
no academic upgrades since the price is already very low.

You can upgrade the iMac for no extra charge - sign into the App Store there, download and install 10.8.
I recommend that you make a backup (Time Machine is probably the easiest method) before you install, and make sure that you are not using any applications that are incomptible with 10.8 (eg Office 2004) - other than that, it should go smoothly.

How can I upgrade my iCloud account's storage but pay for the upgrade with another Apple ID?
I want to upgrade my iCloud account so that I can back-up my iPhone, however I would like to pay for the upgrade using a different Apple ID than the Apple ID associated with my iCloud account. I can not figure out how to do this, when I hit buy after selecting my desired plan it wants be the buy the upgrade with the Apple ID my iCloud account uses. Please help!
I don't think that's possible. (If you're trying to get it on another credit card, one option would be to purchase an iTunes gift card with it and redeem it to create an iTunes store credit. Storage upgrades will first charge your iTunes store credit before charging your card.)

I tried to download the upgrade, now it won't install and I can not access my documents. It said Vi did not have enough space for the upgrade so I made room but still no luck. If I delete the ap and reinstall I will lose my stuff. Any ideas? It won't open so I can email it to myself.
What upgrade are you trying to install? Your profile shows iOS 5.1.1, which is the current max iOS.

I have transferred Aperture 3 from an old Imac to a new. Now I´m requested to put in the serial number for v2, which I upgraded from several years ago. I can`t find it, but have the serial number for the upgrade. What to do? Can I find the original serial number in my old Imac?

IOS5 downloads fine through itunes on my macbook and when I connect my ipad, it asks me if i want to upgrade.

have you read the message in the panel? Something is wrong with your credit card. Perhaps you have to enter a new date of expiration.
In the small print it says, there is still a purchase, that needs paying,"Ugly Heart" with an amount of R 9.99. And "We were unable to authorise your credit card for this purchase". You will first have to update your Billing Information before you can proceed to make a new purchase for upgraded storage. Click "Account Details" in the iCloud panel.

If you cannot fix the account from the iCloud panel, open iTunes and sign into the "Store" menu, Then use the "Store > View account" item there to check for problems with your Billing Information. -

I have an HP LaserJet 5P and had the same problem. My LaserJet is connected to a D-Link ethernet print server, then to an Airport Express to support wireless printing.
As recommended in earlier posts, I first downloaded the Gutenprint HP drivers at Sourceforge, version 5.2.9 That did not work. Then found the reference to the Apple kb here: http://support.apple.com/kb/dl907
Downloaded these drivers. When setting up the printer, I got the autoselect option for Generic Postscript Printer and used that. Printer worked, but printed out garbage. I then deleted the printer, and this time selected the HP LaserJet 5P CUPS + Gutenprint v.5.2.9 THAT WORKED! I don't know if was the combination of downloading the drivers from Sourceforge and the Apple kb, or just the Apple kb that solved the problem, but I'm glad this is now sorted.
I was a bit surprised when I hit this snag to begin with because the last upgrade I did from Lion to Mountain Lion, I did not have this issue. It was seamless. -

[email protected]We have completed our first upgrade of FA from 10.7 SC to 11i. Most issues arose from the introduction of WorkFlow for Account Generator. In addition we have had difficulty activating the "security by book" new feature. This is still under investigation. We upgraded PO, AP, FA and GL. I can say that more than half of our time has been spent resolving FA issues.
The length of time the task will take will depend on which functionality you use. Have you seen the upgrade kit on metalink? it has all the upgrade steps. From that you could determine how many steps you need to perform.

Once in a while i get the error
Event ID 6463
The timer service encountered an exception checking for the upgrade mode registry key. Requested registry access is not allowed.
This also happens when i restart the timer service.
I already cleared the SharePoint cache (xml's) but no success with that.
Environment is
SharePoint 2013 SP1 + CU Dec 2014This is a brand new SP13 with SP1 installation after binaries installation i also installed Dec 2014 CU and then created the SP farm.
The Apppool/Timer account is member of WSS_ADMIN_WPG.
Issue can be reproduced with restarting SharePoint Timer Service.
Hereby the Process Monitor output. Hence i filtered it on NOT SUCCESS and Path contains the word UPGRADE

Some puzzle for the 'Upgrade Guide: Release 11i to Release 12'
We are on 11.5.10.2 with 10g db,now we are going to upgrade to R12
I have done all the pre jobs in the 'Upgrade Guide: Release 11i to Release 12''s character 2 except the 'Prepare for the Upgrade' section.
In the 'Prepare for the Upgrade's step 3:Step 3 Run Rapid Install (required),it ask me to run Rapid Install wizard
But i can not understand what use of the action?
When run rapidwiz,should i close the app and db?or only keep the db running?
Anyone can help me?
