Can I upgrade CS3 to CS6?

I have CS3 already. Can I upgrade to CS6 (or any version for that matter that can edit HD footage), or would I have to buy it from scratch like a new customer?

Here is the link to buy the perpetual license (non-subscription) Creative Suite 6
When you click to buy (you are not committed to buying until you go to the shopping cart checkout) click to change from full to upgrade and find out what qualifies for an upgrade price

  • Can I use CS3 and CS6 both on the same Mac?

    Hello
I just purchased the upgrade from CS3 ti CS6 web and design premium MLP TLP.
Before to install I need to know if I can use both CS on the same Mac, to avoid problems with old files and be sure I could work.
Also I need to know if I can install CS6 on the two Mac internal hard drives, one with Snow Leopard MacOS (10.6.8) and one with the Lion MacOS (10.7.x). In some cases I must use Snow Leopard for compatibility issue with other software.
    Thanks a lot

Installing on two partitions uses two activations, but can be done with no issue. There is no issue on running CS3 and CS6 on the same Mac. However, there is no guarentee that running CS3 on a newer machine will be totally error free. But I think for the most part you should be ok on Snow Leopard.

  • Upgrade CS3 to CS6?

I have a Photoshop CS3 license that I have not used in a while. Now I'm finding out that I may have neglected it too long, what with this "cloud" bidness. Can I upgrade this license to CS6? If so, where and how? Or am I stuck with buying the full install?

I tend to go overboard with adjectives and adverbs, not so much with verbs.

  • Can I upgrade CS3 to open Raw from Rebel T4i?

    Hello,
I have CS3 Photoshop and Bridge and I just bought a Canon T4i.  I can't open my CR2 files.  I've searched the forums and it looks like you need Raw 7.1 but I don't think that upgrade works with CS3.  Any suggestions on how I can still use CS3 and open my files?
    Thanks

If your camera is supported in a later version of Camera Raw that is not compatible with your version of Photoshop, then you can use the latest DNG converter (free download from Adobe) to create digital negative copies of your images.  These will contain all the raw image data.  The only disadvantage is that you won't have access to the vastly improved to raw processing that is available in the newer versions.

  • How can I upgrade CS5 to CS6?

How can I upgrade Photoshop CS5 to CS6, and cannot use CC because I would need a different operating system?

Good gracious!  Is there really still an upgrade path from CS5?  I'd have bet serious money that option finished at least a year ago.  Sounds like I would have lost the bet.
BTW  I expect those prices are still dependent on where the OP lives.  Upgrading from CS5 to CS6 cost me NZ$800 dollars when CS6 first came out.  Thankfully, price gouging is appears to be a thing of the past with CC, but I believe that only applies to NZ and Oz, and that Europe still enjoys a price hike for Adobe products.
Anyone like to clarify that for me?

  • Can I upgrade CS3 Extended to CS5 or higher?

I am currently running CS3 Extended but would like to upgrade as high as I can with minimal cost. I work for a non-profit and budgetary requirements tie my hands greatly. I prefer NOT to go with CC but will if need be.

Your options are Photoshop CS6 and CC. CS5 is no longer sold. Are far as upgrade pricing coming from CS3, I doubt Adobe will give you a deal since is is so old.
Here is where to buy CS6: Creative Suite 6. It is $600 for the standard and $1000 for the extended version. CC you can buy for $120/year.

  • Can I upgrade my Photoshop CS6 Standard to CS6 Extended

I currently have Adobe CS6 Design Standard Student and Teacher Edition Bundle installed on my Mac, which was purcharsed with the laptop from Apple. I have had a small insight to the Photoshop CS6 Extended creating three-dimentional objects and I have started to get really interested in it.
I want to find out if I can upgrade my current version of photoshop to the extended version? I dont want to buy the package again like Adobe said I would have to do if I wanted it.

I didn't want the extended for free! I wanted to pay the difference and upgrade it but they said I couldn't.
Yes, we know. But as I explained, the only way to change the software you already purchased to the Extended version is to give you a new serial number. That would mean having two serial numbers you can use to install the software with.
You're allowed to have any Adobe software activated on two computers. With two serial numbers for what is really only one purchase, you'd then be able to install PS on four computers; two as Standard and two as Extended. There's no way for Adobe to "take back" the original Standard serial number, or negate it. You would have two full licenses for one original purpose. That's why they won't do it for only the difference in price between the two versions.

  • Can't upgrade from Photoshop CS6 to Complete CC

I'm trying to upgrade my current plan (Photoshop CS6 1-year plan) to the brand-new Complete CC. I follow this scenario:
    1. In a new browser tab go to https://creative.adobe.com/plans?store_code=de
    2. In the Special Offers section click the blue "Pick a Plan" button
    3. Then choose Complete for CS6
And then I'm just redirected to https://creative.adobe.com/
    What am I doing wrong?

    Hi there
If you already have a Photoshop single app membership you can upgrade this to complete Creative Cloud from within your account - see http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/membership-subscription-troubleshooting- creative-cloud.html - Change to an annual membership or a full Creative Cloud membership
The special offer pricing you referred to only applies to customers who own a Creative Suite CS6 edition or individual product as a perpetual license.
    Thanks

  • Can I upgrade from Photoshop CS6 Standard to Extended

From everything I have been able to find out, I would need to pay the full $400 upgrade from my CS4 license even though I already own CS6. Surely there must be a way to go from CS6 to CS6 Extended for less than the cost to go from a previous version to CS6 Extended, but if there is, I cannot find a way how.
    Thanks,
    R

Primarily a budgetary concern. At the time, I had $199 to spend on the upgrade. The extra $200 wasn't going to happen before the end of December when the pricing was said to increase so I went ahead and picked up CS6. The 3D capabilities would be nice to have and probably would be helpful in future projects, but the need right now was to get the upgrade to the standard with the (now presumably false) assumption I could upgrade when I had a few more gigs show up.
If it's another $400 to upgrade, it won't be worth it for me. My primary job is programming, I only do side work for photography and some simple design and while it'd be nice to have some basic 3D ability in Photoshop, it's not $600 worth (400 for the upgrade + the $200 I already spent).

  • Upgrade cs3 design premium to cs 5.5 web premium

Can I upgrade cs3 design premium to cs 5.5 web premium and will I lose the functionality of the Indesign CS3 that I have now?

I believe it will but you must find the right upgrade and finding a CS5.5 upgrade is not going to be easy. Why not just get the CS6 Web and Design Premium package (that eligibility ends soon) or better yet, take advantage of the intro pricing for Creative Cloud. At $29.99/month it’s a bargain: http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud.html

  • Can I upgrade version 5.5 to 6.5?

    Hello,
I'm only basic on computers so please forgive my ignorance. Is it possible to upgrade from After Effects version 5.5 to 6.5? How do I do it? Does it cost? Do I pay shipping and get a CD or is it a download? Must I have the old version installed or just get an entire new one with my old codes?
    Thanks!!!

First, we need to clear something up:  Are you talking about AE VERSION 5.5, or are you talking about AE CS 5.5?  AE CS 5.5 is actually VERSION 10.5.
If you're talking AE CS 5.5, you can only upgrade to AE CS6; there is no 6.5.  Yes, it will cost you; I'm not sure of the amount.  AE CS 6 is the last version available for purchase; the newer Creative Cloud versions are rental-only.  AE CS 6 is available only by download, and you have to search very carefully for it -- Adobe would prefer that people use the newer versions, so locating CS6 is more of a chore than locating the new version.
Both AE CS 5.5 and AE CS 6 can co-exist peacefully on your computer.  There is no need to remove 5.5.
