Can I upgrade directly from ColdFusion 9 Enterprise to ColdFusion 11 Enterprise without going to 10 first?

Can I upgrade directly from ColdFusion 9 Enterprise to ColdFusion 11 Enterprise without going to 10 first?
For those who have done this,
1.  What quirks did you find that you had to overcome in your installation (I know that everyone's environment is different and produces differest results)?
2.  What part of your code broke for which you had to find fixes?
Tips and suggestions for a smooth installation, besides following the installation document.
Thanks!

Create a car (archive file) in CF 9 enterprise which will capture all CF 9 settings like Data sources, Web services etc. Make sure when you are doing this, pop up blocker is disabled.
NOTE : While creating the archive file, give the full name with the absolute path in the package name. For example C:\Test\mypackage.car
Then move this car file into the server where you want to install CF 11. Install CF 11 and then  deploy this archive (car) file. All CF 9 settings will be migrated to CF 11 enterprise.
Else, if you want to install CF 11 on the same server where CF 11 is installed, then remove the connector for all the websites which are configured with CF 9, make sure the CF 9 services are running and then run the CF 11 installer and at the end of CF 11 installation, you will get a dialogue box which will ask you to migrate CF 9 settings in CF 11.
Run the Code Analyzer in CF 11 Administrator to check whether any the CF 9 code used in your application is breaking in CF 11 or not

Deactivate CS3 on your old computer. Install and activate CS3 on your new computer. After you have done that, you can upgrade to CS5.
From the forum thread posted earlier: If CS3 is detected by the installer as being already installed in the machine, it will read the old serial number transparently and will prompt you only for the serial number for CS5.

  • HT4854 Can I upgrade directly from OS X 10.6.8 to Mountain Lion

Can I upgrade directly from OS X 10.6.8 to Mountain Lion??

Yes, you can, but make sure your machine meets the system requirements:
    http://www.apple.com/osx/specs/
When you upgrade, you need to do the following:
    1) Check all your software for compatibility with the new system.
    2) Repair the hard drive with Disk Utility.
    3) Make a full backup of your whole system using Time Machine.
    4) Ideally, make a second full backup of your whole system using something else, like Carbon Copy Cloner. (I consider two backups to be the minimum.)
    5) Wait until you have time to deal with any possible problems that crop up.
    6) Install the upgrade.
Some people recommend erasing your hard drive and installing the new system "cleanly." That certainly helps ensure that you don't have any problems with the new system, but is often unnecessary. I prefer to save clean installs for when they are actually necessary, but that is only an opinion. You can certainly choose to do a clean install if you prefer.

Yes. But compare prices. Sometimes sites like Amazon have a lower price for the full product rather than the upgrade version. They are identical; so buy whichever is cheapest.

  • Can I upgrade directly from..?

    Hi,
I have a Panther 10.3 full version and I have purchased Tiger 10.4 a couple of months ago which is an upgrade version. I haven't got the chance to install it because I am moving to another country.
I would like to know can I upgrade directly from 10.3 or I have to upgrade step by step till 10.39?
    Thank you

Well, according to Apple's Tech Specs for Leopard (http://www.apple.com/macosx/techspecs/), you'll be just fine if you upgrade directly.
I would upgrade to Tiger first though, and play it safe.

    For windows pc's Photo albums:
    1) Create a master sync folder on your pc with no photo files at the root level of the folder.
    2) Create sub-folders within the master sync folder with the subfolders named what you want the ipad's photo albums to be named.
    3) Place the photo files you want to sync in the appropriate subfolder within the master sync folder.
    4) In itunes on the photos tab, select the master folder as the sync folder.
    5) After syncing, each subfolder will be an album on the ipad with the proper photos contained there-in.

  • Can I Upgrade Directly From Tiger To Snow Leopard?

I'm operating OS X 10.4.11 (Tiger) on a pre-2008 Macbook with an Intel processor. I'd like to upgrade to Snow Leopard.
After doing a little research, I didn't see anything on the Snow Leopard packaging or on the Apple website which clearly states this, but can I upgrade directly to Snow Leopard? The Apple Store says Tiger users must buy the Mac Box Set (which includes iLife '09 and iWork '09). I really don't want to since I don't plan to use the features of iWork and can purchase iLife '09 separately.
Basically, my question is, can I upgrade to Snow Leopard (using a Snow Leopard upgrade @ $29) and, if so, will my prior version of iLife still function or will I be forced to upgrade to iLife '09. I'd rather pay $95 for things I know I would use, compared to $170 for extra, unused software.

    "Snow Leopard Upgrade Requirements
Snow Leopard requires an Intel-based Mac.
Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard users, buy the upgrade.
Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger users, buy the Mac Box Set."
I don't think there is any technical limitation to installing a clean 10.6 "upgrade" on a compatible machine, running either 10.4 or 10.5, however, the 10.6 license, that buyers must agree with, relies on the "honor system" for compliance.
I am about to upgrade my black MacBook to 10.6 with the Box Set, my Intel MacBook shipped with 10.4, one of the later models not long before 10.5 came out, and as I skipped 10.5, the 10.6 Box Set seems to be the only option, even though I am not interested in iWork so much.

  • Can I upgrade directly from Snow Leopard to Mt. Lion?

I was just in the Apple store and the genius there suggested upgrading so I would have full use of iCloud between devices.  I've downloaded Mt. Lion but have not yet installed it.  Should I have done an intermediate upgrade to Lion first, or doesn't it matter.  (Slightly paranoid about making the jump, particularly if I'm liable to lose access to some programs through compatibility problems.)  The main reason for the upgrade was to get access to iCloud.
currently on OS 10.6.8 on a Macbook 6,1, Intel Duo core 2.26 GHz processor, 2GB memory, 3 MB L2 cache.

You may directly upgrade to Mountain Lion from Snow Leopard. It requires access to the Mac App Store &, at least. Mac OS X 10.6.8 which you have.
I think skipping Lion is a good move. I no longer have it on any Macs in this house.

  • How can i upload photos from my camera onto my timecapsule without going onto my computer first?

I have photos on my digital camera that i want to put directly onto my timecapsule without having to download them onto my macbook first because i don't have enough disk space left on my hard drive for everything to fit.  Can someone tell me how to bypass my computer and go directly onto my timecapsule?
    Thanks!

You really have a question for the iPhoto experts here, so you should post in that support area.
    iPhoto
However, I can do exactly what you ask by checking the following settings in iPhoto.
    Open iPhoto Preferences
    Click the General Tab
Make sure that the setting for Connecting Camera Opens  = Image Capture
Then do exactly as I outlined above to navigate to the Time Capsule disk to import/download the images to that destination
Time Capsules do fail at an alarming rate, so hopefully you have a plan to backup your images that are stored on the Time Capsule.

  • Will I be able to upgrade Directly from Snow Leopard ro Mountain Lion

    Hello All!
Will I be able to upgrade Directly from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion without going through Lion?
    Thanks in advance

You have to upgrade Mac OS X Snow Leopard to Mac OS X Lion, Then Mac OS X Mountain Lion.
If You have Snow Leopard, then upgrading to Mac OS X Lion is only $29.99 via the Mac App's Store, a one time fee for all your Macs. I recommend that you download it to all your devices first before you actually run the installation process. Once you've upgraded to Mac OS X Lion, then upgrade to Mac OS X Mountain Lion for a one time fee of $19.99.
Mac OS X Mountain Lion will be available as a single software upgrade via the Mac App Store beginning in July 2012. The BEST PART is you only have to purchase it one time to upgrade all of your Macs. So its only like $50 bucks total for ALL your Macs to get both Lion and Mt Lion. Approximately, the same price it was when Snow Leopard's family pack came out for only up to 5 Macs. Except this time you get 2 upgrades for about the same cost for unlimited Macs compared to only 1 upgrade for up to 5 macs like before.

  • Upgrade directly from Exchange Server 2010 SP1 to Exchange Server 2010 SP3

    Hi,
We have current setup with Exchange Server 2010 SP1 ( DAG & CAS Array with WNLB).
Can we upgrade directly from Exchange Server 2010 SP1 to
    Exchange Server 2010 SP3 . ?
    Thanks in Advanced.
    Regards,Ali

    Hi Ali,
Yes, you can. Please upgrade your Exchange 2010 SP1 server roles in the following order: Client Access, Hub Transport, Unified Messaging, Mailbox, Edge Transport. What's more, please note that when you install a Service Pack or update rollup on a server
that's a DAG member, several services will be stopped during the installation, including all Exchange services and the Windows Cluster service.

  • Can I upgrade directly to Yosemite from OS X 10.6.8?

I have not upgraded my iMac operating system OS X 10.6.8 since its purchse.
Can I upgrade directly to Yosemite?

    Yes.
    Upgrading to Yosemite
To upgrade to Yosemite you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Download Yosemite from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Yosemite is free. The file is quite large, over 5 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.

You need to have a copy of Snow Leopard installed to access Lion in the Mac App Store. There's no direct path to upgrade from Leopard to Lion.
I did read a piece earlier this week about Apple giving free copies of Snow Leopard to new iCloud subscribers, you might want to look into this here:
