My Elements 12 won't download movies; will the premier version do it? And can I upgrade to it? Cost?

Photoshop Elements is for photos. Premiere Elements is for video.

Problem now resolved as I upgraded to Snow Leopard 10.6. Seems App Store doesn't like anything previous to 10.6.

I can't get elements 11 to download, I've tried 10 times over a 3 week period

There isn't enough info to go about this problem. First tell us what Operating System you are using; Then tell us do you get any error messages? Also tell us whether this is the fist time ever you have tried installing PSE11. I am assuming you are using fairly latest hardware such that the minimum spec requirement is complied with.

Hi...need some help with upgrading my current iTunes so I may download movies....but when I try to upgrade it sends me to another link to download a "NEW iTunes"....From what I've been reading its totally erased peoples music. Can someone help me upgrade without losing my music??

From the initial details you give you should be able to upgrade to Mavericks / Yosemite, though you will need at least 4Gb (preferably 6Gb) of RAM . If you are in the UK, talk to Crucial.com in order to clarify the correct memory to buy.
But before you go this far you will need to purchase the 10.6.8 Snow Leopard DVD from the Apple on line store. It will arrive as 10.6.3 and you will need to update it to 10.6.8. This will give you the App store from where you can obtain your next upgrades. But before buying, check out that your machine can accept your chosen OS. I do not recommend LION 10.7.
You will also need to decide if you can afford to lose certain programs you may have downloaded as many Leopard programs will not run on OSs above 10.6.8.

Can one add subtitles to Itunes downloaded movies without CC?

I recently downloaded a movie in french on Itunes that did not have closed captioning. Is there anyway I can add (french) subtitles to the film? I am learning french and I need to read the titles to fully understand the dialogue. Thanks!

Hold down the option key while starting iTunes, then select library. Your library is stored in your Home > Music > iTunes > iTunes Library.itl file
iTunes can be picky about mp3 formatting and not all mp3s files are created the same.

Why after two new updates can I know longer watch or download movies?

This morning firefox updater advised me that two new addons would be installed as soon as I restarted Firefox, which I did straight away. When I opened up a webpage and clicked on a movie to watch everything froze. I couldn't open any other tabs either. Earlier I didn't have a problem with watching movies. It was only when the two new updates were installed and I do not know what they were. I even unistalled Firefox and reinstalled the latest version (which I already had anyway) but this made no difference. It seems that it is only happening when I try to watch or download things. I haven't had this trouble in the past. Although Firefox does crash fairly regularly.

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
*Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
*Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

I can't open Elements after I download it from the website.

I recently had to replace my hard drive on my iMac. After doing so, I tried to download Photoshop Elements after logging into the Adobe website. I download and when I hit the "open" button, nothing happens. Does anybody have any insight on how to fix this?

Maybe a corrupted download, Try a different ISP or use your disk if you have one, or better, get one form ADOBE.

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.0.1. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.

I am a new ipod user! I recently got a used 60GB ipod with color display. I thought it would play movies or podcasts. I guess I don't understand the hardware differences between the two. Can I upgrade my ipod to play movies and podcasts?

Second, to answer your question directly, no you can not upgrade an ipod that doesn't have photo or video to now do so.

To which fix do you refer? Activatng QT 7 Pro or converting the files? Even with QT 7 Pro activated you may need to modify your QT codec component configuration depending on the file type and compression formats used to encode your "old movies." There may be many different problems here with each having one or more "fixes." Please try to be more specific regarding your questions. Converting a muxed VOB MPEG2/AC3 file would be very different different from converting an AVI DivX5/MP3 file depending on which application you are attempting to use.

I have Elements 10. It doesn't handle RAW. It also doesn't allow more than one Fine JPG to be downloaded at a time. Can this be fixed with a download, or am I stuck to upgrade to Elements 13?

Yes, it does.

It can handle the raw files covered by the ACR 6.7 version.
For newer cameras, you can use the free Adobe DNGconverter to batch convert a folder into the DNG raw format that PSE10 can read and edit.
