Can I upgrade my Oracle Clint also ?
I am using oracle client version 9.2.0.1 on windows 2000 SP4, but my database is 9.2.0.7 on linux. I because of version incompatibility I am not able to export clob/blob data from the server. I am getting the error EXP-00003: no storage definition found for segment(6, 153537)
For this case how can I upgrade my Oracle Client to function on my database properly?

Hi, you must instal the patch 4163445, this patch is for server and client.

I know of no way to upgrade the database internal JVM -- from 1.3 to 1.4 -- in Oracle 9i (although there is probably some hack that would let you do it).
However, I can suggest two alternatives:
1. Upgrade to Oracle 10g -- whose internal JVM is compatible with JDK 1.4 and so supports regular expressions.
2. Load a third-party regular expressions library that is compatible with JDK 1.3, into the Oracle 9i database. Maybe try:

Hi - Is there away to upgrade the database's java version? We are on UNIX with Oracle 8.1.6. I would like to upgrade it to Java 1.4, if possible. As far as I know, we do not currently use java for anything. We like to use java stored procedures.

Thanks.The answer is yes and no. You can check the VM compability/compliance version of the compiled class. But e.g a JDK 1.5 compiler can compile classes that are compatible with a 1.4 VM (but that doesn't mean that it is guaranteed to execute on that VM without any errors)

My current version of database is 10.2.0.4. I also have a plan to upgrade my database to 11g release 2
Can anyone clarify me,

You can upgrade direct from 10.6.8 to 10.8 Mountain Lion without going through 10.7 Lion with the Late 2008 model 5,1 Aluminum Unibody. The Model 5,1 will probably run 10.9 Mavricks when it comes out.
10.8 Mountain Lion is a download from the App Store, the price is $19.99.
Mountain Lion will require at least 2gb of RAM but really needs 4gb to run smoothly.

Also Mountain Lion doesn't run any Power PC programs. To see if you have any Power PC programs go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info. Before Mac switched to Intel processors in 2006 they used Power PC processors from 1994 to 2005. Power PC 601 through 604, G3, G4 and G5. I have never had any problems with my G5, it's been my awesome helper these past 7 years, I can't say the same thing for my new Mac, but it seems now my poor G5 is slowly being made redundent because they no longer write software for it.
I don't see why i should pay for a new Mac because my old one does not always function on the web, or having a new printer because it does not support the new software.
My New Mac Laptop has had no end of troubles since i bought it less than a year ago.

Oracle 10g XE is rather specific and, I'm not sure that you can upgrade it to 10.2.0.4 .
However, Oracle published an Upgrade Guide for Oracle Express Edition but, it's limited to *10.2.0.3*:

But be careful:
Once you have upgraded to Oracle Database 10g, you cannot downgrade back to Oracle Database Express Edition.Hope this help.

Backing up your phone isn't really relevant. You can download items you've already purchased (from the iTunes Store on your Mac) to your phone. I currently have an iPhone 4 and my contract is up am now paying month to month. My Verizon shows this but says I am not eligible for an upgrade until February. Could I still get the iPhone 5 at the discounted price since my contract is up? Also, *611 told me that tethering and mobile hot spot is included with the new share everything plans. I just got in touch with Verizon, this is the explanation that was given to me:
My wife did upgrade her phone 3/8/2011 -- so she got a new 2 year contract.
Shortly there after, we went on a family plan -- at that point in time, I took over responsibility of the account, so at that point the contract for that line went down to 1 year. (said the customer service rep)
So the contract on that line ended 3/8/2012 -- while she can't upgrade until 11/8/2012.
I CAN cancel the line without penalty.

Then reopen the app store, and go to the purchases tab.
If that doesn't work, then you may have to call Applecare.
