My Laptop Info: -Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU B800 @ 1.50GHz, 1500Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processors-BIOS Ver. Hewlett-Packard F.33-SMBIOS Ver. 2.7-x64 Bit-2GB RAM(MAX 8GB) Basically I Wanna Upgrade The Laptop For Better Speed/Performance.Im Not Using It For Gaming Etc.Just For Faster Internet Browsing Etc....So Basically A Laptop For Google,YouTube Etc. NOTE: MY INTERNET MBPS IS AROUND 600Mbps WIRELESSLY. My Questions: 1.What Processor's Are Best?,And What Processor's Are Compatible With My Laptop? 2.Do I Just Replace The Processor?Or Motherboard? 3.What RAM Is Compatible With My Laptop? 4.Also What Is The Best Hard Disk Upgrade?(DONT NEED MORE THAN 500GB) 5.How Do I Go About Replacing And Installing The Processor? Put this way if that system isn't costing you 2,000US or more then it will not play Call Of Duty and FIFA regardless of what the store sales person says. To play those games your laptop has to fall into the catgory called "Gaming Laptop" Specs and those come with cost and weight to show for it. Your laptop is only good at low games resolution and will not handle graphics intensive games. Those requires Gaming Laptop specs those cost money to be had. So if you still want to Game COD style you need to put down the cash for serious Game Laptop to perform under pressure. Forget about upgrading your current system what you want is a Serious Gaming Laptop if your going to play COD.

s long as they already have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 installed in it.All a person needs to do with that type of iMac is to upgrade/max out their Ram. They claim that an Interl iMac with Core 2 Duo is all that is needed, as long as it has OS 10.6.8 installed. They say you don`t need the "Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor"
But I wonder about the RAM speed, the iMac 2.33Ghz uses DDR2 SDRAM, which I believe is rated at 667Mhz. Lion maybe installed but it might be problems running smoothly or not?
Did some quick checking and the iMacs apple is selling this year use 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM.
The only thing to do is to make sure you have a good back-up, Install your RAM and install Snow Leo, then wait a couple of hours and install Lion.

There isn't as huge a jump in 5,1 as I think you assume.
Get some SSDs, RAM, PCIe 6G card
And you should look into 5770 or better which you can take full advantage of.

The processor won't be upgradeable. Even assuming it's not soldered to the logic board and could be swapped without affecting the warranty (it can't), the Core 2 Duo and Core i5/i7 do not use the same socket; you can't replace one with the other.

Logic Pro 10 requires OSX 10.8.4, which is not officially supported on your Mac Pro (must be Early 2008).
There are, however, unofficial workarounds to install 10.8 on those older models that you can search for on Google.

Hi everyone! I got in a bind a while back and had to get a PC fast. What I ended getting was HP Pavilion 23-g011 All-in-One. When I got it I thought it was okay, but as i started to work I realized its limits. I guess it has a 1.3ghz processor, which seems to be the only real issue with it, as far as i can tell. My question is, can I upgrade this processor? I've heard different things. Some say yes, others say no. I really don't know much about this stuff, but I'm hoping someone can help me out here. I am sorry, but apparently the proccessor is soldered to the motherboard of the computer, so you can't upgrade it. All-in-one computers aren't designed for being upgrades (i have a pavilion 20 b010 with a 1.48GHz proccessor) and I wouldn't really have a problem with the "no upgrade" thing if the proccessors weren't so terrible! I feel you, I do alot of gaming and have to run them at like 5 fps. So to summarize it all up, you cant upgrade it.

You could upgrade but since your in the same family processor your not gong to get any gains with the upgrade. Stick with your current processor.

So I want to find information about my MacBook Pro's processor and RAM using the serial number because the MacBook no longer works. I remember being able to find this information on the apple website before, maybe by using the coverage checker. Did they take this information out of the coverage checker? Is it no longer possible for a costumer to obtain this information?

If you are eligible for a new copy of the Teacher and Student edition, that is the way to go. It is generally cheaper to get new teacher/student versions than upgrade to a commercial version. However, with the Creative Cloud now available, I do not know if the CS 6 teacher/student versions are still available.
