Can I upgrade OS with a different machines OS software, Jauar to Panther

I have an 800mhz iMac running Jauguar 10.2.8 and would like to know if I can upgrad with the Panther 10.3.5 software that came with a G5 desktop that I got for my son?
If so, what would the process be to do so?

If you bought if from Apple then they have a 14 day returns period, and they don't do trade-ins or upgrades. If you bought it from a different store then check their returns policy.

Hello Guys,
I need a little help here. I'm getting following error when try to verify the BlackBerry ID.
"You can't sign in with a different BlackBerry ID on this device. Sign in with orginal BlackBerry the original BlackBerry ID used on this device"
This is how i end up here:
I wanted to change the email address associated with my BlackBerry ID and to do that i deleted the orginal ID using the link from the email "delete this BlackBerry ID" . which i got when creating it for first time.
I also recreated the ID with my orginal email address but even then getting the above error.
Please, let me know how to fix it.

Hi afzaal
You need to wipe your Q5 first to apply new/different BlackBerry ID. Do not forget to backup your data through BlackBerry Link before you wipe because all of your data will be deleted. You can restore the data after wipe process has completed.

Got a Z10 with my blackberry ID on it for a long time with no problems.
My wife bought a Blackberry Bold 9900 and instead of creating a new Blackberry ID, I put mine. She only wanted Facebook on it so I didn't want to create a new ID just for that app.
Now on my Z10, everytime I try to download an app from BB World, got a pop-up with "Verify your Blackberry ID". I try to enter my password, it says:
"You can't sign in with a different Blackberry ID on this device. Sign in with the original Blackberry ID used on this device". But it definitely is the original ID.
I also tried to reset password but the issue persists.

That`s not going to work.
The reason for that is that your BBID is registered for your Blackberry OS10. The Bold 9900 is a OS7
Therefore the apps avaiable for the OS10 and OS7 are going to be different.
I'm not sure that's true. If you sign in with another device it should switch your info to that device. You can still have multiple devices using one BBID.
Doing a Security wipe on the affected device should allow them to log in using any BBID, even one previously associated with a BB10 phone. It will tell you that your data will be associated with the new phone and, in some cases, email will not go to the old phone. In the case of BB10 as the previous phone, email will still go since it's not associated with BBID on BB10.

Can't upgrade iPhoto with Mavericks

I upgraded to OS Maverick, now iPhoto doesn't work. I tried to download the iPhoto Update but it tells me "this is not available for this Apple ID because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled. I went to the purchases- nothing there about iPhoto and nothing hidden, I reset alerts. Still no work. I went to associate my User (again) in the Apple preferences.. still not work. I've never used the Elements side of Photoshop. I've always used Photoshop full version and Lightroom. But from what I read it has a cataloging/viewer and you can make different catalogs and or collections with it ( a catalog and or collection is a collection of images which can be all in one folder or many different folders at the same time or both combined) and that it has the basic to slightly advanced editing functions. Not sure about levels and curves but I would think so. Although it may not have the layers functions like in the full Photoshop.
You can download a Demo of lightroom and use it for 30 days. you just have to deal with the startup screen thatasks Continue Demo or Buy Lighroom. Other then that it is funlly functional.
Depending on whether you do mostly JPG or RAW images the one thing I like about Lightroom is it can edit either JPGs or many different RAW formats without really touching, editing, the original image file. So that is always your Negative, in old Film Speak.
As VilleFromFinland says it really is about how you manage your images. But with iPhoto it wants to Manage them for you. Where they are stored and how you interact with them. Personally I rather put them where and how I want them then have a program that can view edit them.

A 2007 Mac Pro isn't capable of running Mavericks. The newest OS it can run is Lion 10.7.5; installing it requires going through Snow Leopard or finding a Mac OS X 10.7 install thumbdrive.

I have a macbook with Tiger (10.4.11). Is it possible to upgrade to Lion? Or do I have to purchase a new computer? I have a fair amount of free space on the computer and I also have a 500GB external hard drive. Right now it won't even recognize my iPhone 4S

It would help to know which one of the 9 different models of MacBook you have. To see which model you have go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info. When System Profiler comes up check the Model Identifier and post it back here.
You can upgrade from 10.4 to 10.6 with no problems. Any program that runs under 10.4 will run under 10.6. You might have to upgrade some drivers for printers, etc.... And you will have to install Rosetta if you have any Power PC applications http://www.macobserver.com/tmo/article/snow_leopard_installing_rosetta/ I recently upgraded an older MacBook (model 1,1) from 10.4 to 10.6. Once you are at 10.6.8 you can buy Lion from the App Store.

A 10.5 Leopard disk will run you over $100
Lion will require at least 2gb of RAM but really needs 4gb to run smoothly. Also Lion doesn't run any Power PC programs. To see if you have any Power PC programs go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info. WhenSystem Profiler comes up select Applications under Software.Then look under kind to see if any of your applications are listed as Power PC or Classic. Universal and Intel will run under Lion.
Before Mac switched to Intel processors they used Power PC processors from 1994 to 2005. PowerPC 601 through 604, G3, G4 and G5. Applications written for the Power PC processors need an application called Rosetta to run on Intel processors. This was part of the Operating System in 10.4 and 10.5 but was an optional install in 10.6. With 10.7 Lion Apple dropped support for the the Power PC applications.
