Can I upgrade Student and Teacher CS5 Extended with Lightroom

The above is the question. I am no longer a student (Coupon Code can be provided) but can I add Lightroom to my CS5 Extended? Children all have left College or Uni and home.

There are no students left in the house in fact the graphic artist is now in England and on his way in October to South America. Hence I will have to buy it for myself as CS5 is a little too complicated for a 74 year old like myself.
I assume that the $149.99 is either $ AUS or $ US. Perhaps you can tell me which and if a pension runs to it I will  buy Lightroom 5 as it seems more within my comprehension and considerably faster to do the things I need.  Many thanks for your prompt reply as I was more than agreeably surprised with same. I really am sincere about buying Lightroom5 for myself.
Sincerely,
Brian Gidley

  • Student and Teacher CS5 and CS5.5

In 2011 I purchased the Windows Desing premium crative suite and and the Mac CS5.5 creative suite.
I was offered an upgrade to CS6 with the CS5.5 purchase. Unfortunately I missed a deadline on contacting the retailer and they refused to honour this.
I now discover that with the Creative Cloud development I do not have an upgrade path. I am not keen on a subscription which I have to perennelly pay for rather than the purchase of a lifetime license.
However, I have looked into the subscription and due to no longer being employed in the School I am unable to qualify for the Teacher and Student version and also it would appear that my license for Student and Teacher editions does not qualify me for membership at the discounted current CS3 and above user rate
Additionally I would like to know if membership will allow me to download the apps to both my windows and pc machines or will it be restricted to a single machine?
I also believe that after purchasing 2 version of CS5/5.5 I should be entitled to the discounted rate given that 2 of these versions would be equivalent to one normal license.
I hope you are able to help.

Other users paid a ton more money for their Adobe software ofver the years than you ever did. You got them at a considerable discount already and I'm not sure what else you expect. sorry, but your reasoning is fundamentally wrong.

CC is platform-agnostic and all apps are available on both platforms if the user choses so.

  • Is Lightroom 5 Student and Teacher Edition eligible for Lightroom 6 Upgrade?

Or do I need to buy the full version? Thank you!

If the software you downloaded from the Adobe Updates page, what did you mean by this statement?
“Because the software downloaded from the official website don't accept the serial number registered for the student version”

  • Student and Teacher Edition order fulfillment form

hi, i´ve already bought student cs5 version but i can´t find Student and Teacher Edition order fulfillment form to receive my serial number. maybe i´m blind

This is the worst "customer service" experience I have ever had with a software company.
Following the instructions that came with the product landed me here:
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/support/index.cfm?event=opencscase&loc=en_gb&issue=z015&csedu type=ste
A service alert - even though the time is well outside that specified in the alert.
Following the instructions in the previous post did take me to a form asking for my coupon code. But it wanted a 14 or 16 digit code - while the code on my coupon is 12 digits (13 including a hyphen). Is this some sort of cruel joke?
Of course the telephone number for service only works 9 to 5 Monday to Friday. Are they kidding? That's less than 1/4 of the time!
I can't believe in this day and age that registering a product can be so painful and frustrating. Maybe a class action law suit would get Adobe's attention as they clearly don't have the least idea about expected levels of service.
    Grrr.

  • Student and Teacher Edition Requirements

I have two very important questions with regards to the student and teacher edition of Adobe Acrobat XI Professional.
    1. I am a senior at Central Bucks High School West. I do plan on going to Bucks County Community College next year. If I were to buy it today, would the software work without problems, or do I need something to prove I am a postsecondary student, like an email address ending in ".edu"? If it's the latter, I'll have to wait until September of 2015. Adobe is expected to release a twelfth edition of Acrobat and the reader sometime in October or November this year judging by their release history, so I'll probably wait until then anyway.
    2. When I graduate from college, will I have to upgrade to the full version to continue using it, or will I still be able to use it as long as I use it only for personal or educational use? Obviously, I won't need it for commercial use until I get a job and make my own money.

    Hi TjinPerspective,
    * If you were to buy the software today then you can avail the Student and Teacher discount. Yes the software will work without any problems.
To avail the Student and Teacher discount please refer the eligibility FAQs at: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/education-faq.html
    * Acrobat 12 is scheduled to be released next year.
    * There's no difference between Student and Teacher Version of Acrobat and the retail version of Acrobat. So the version you purchase will be full version with the additional benefit of getting a 60% discount on it. Once purchased you can use the software for as long as you can even after you complete your education.
Let me know if you have more queries.
    Regards,
    Rave

  • How do I update my Creative Cloud Student and Teacher Edition (one-year) now that I am no longer a student? It is about to expire. Thank you.

How do I update my Creative Cloud Student and Teacher Edition (one-year) now that I am no longer a student? It is about to expire and I need to continue working on Photoshop and InDesign, among others. Is there a way for me to update my package, and if not, what should I do to keep my CC running? Thank you.

    Hello jeannelouise,
first I'll use the conditions in German language:
"Frage: Können Schüler/Studierende oder Lehrkräfte die Student and Teacher Editions nach dem Abschluss bzw. nach dem Ausscheiden weiterverwenden?
Antwort: Ja. Jede berechtigte Person kann eine Adobe Student and Teacher Edition weiterverwenden. Die Adobe Creative Cloud kann für die Dauer des Abonnements weiterverwendet werden."
    What means something like:
"Question: Can pupils/students or teachers continue using the Student and Teacher Editions after graduation or after leaving?
Answer: Yes. Any eligible person can use Adobe Student and Teacher Edition. The Adobe Creative Cloud can be used for the duration of the subscription."

  • Is use of Lightroom Mobile included with Creative Cloud Student and Teacher Edition?

I am enrolled in the Creative Cloud Student and Teacher Edition. However; Lightroom 5.4 on my mac says I can only use Lightroom mobile for a 30 day trial period. It seems to me my Creative Cloud membership doesn't entitle me to the use of Lightroom Mobile. Is this indeed the case?

    http://www.adobe.com/products/lightroom-mobile/faq.html
Does Lightroom 5 include access to Lightroom mobile?
Lightroom mobile is included as part of the following Creative Cloud membership plans:
    Photoshop Photography Program
    Creative Cloud complete plan
Creative Cloud Student and Teacher Edition
Creative Cloud for teams complete plan
If you have access to Lightroom 5 via your Creative Cloud membership, then you have access to Lightroom mobile.

  • "Student and Teacher Edition" vs. "Student and Teacher Licensing"?

My university participates in the "Student and Teacher Licensing" program, where the university gets volume discounts on Adobe products and the students are able to pick up software for below the standard "Student and Teacher Edition" prices. The university sells both versions. I was hoping someone could help clarify two things:
    1) Is there any difference, to the end user, between these two versions of the same software? From what I have read on the Adobe website, they should be identical, aside from how the end-user authenticates/activates the software.
    2) My primary concern is whether I can use the "Student and Teacher Licensing" version for commercial use (I don't want to be restricted regarding being able to sell my photos processed in Photoshop). It is stated in the "Student and Teacher Edition" FAQ that you *can* use that version for commercial purposes (FAQ here), however the documentation for the "Licensing" option is not as clear on this issue (PDF here, page 5 for FAQ).
Can anyone clarify for me if there actually is any distinction between these two licensing methods, or if they actually are identical to the end-user aside from activation method and cost?
    Thanks,
    Jim

You can use student and teacher edition for profit it is licensed just the same as commercial. I can't find a link for the student version eula anywhere but I know I've read before from adobe that you can.

Also, does "your private computer" mean you can't switch computers? If I were to purchase a new computer would I be unable to transfer to that one?
No, that just means you can't install it on organization, educational , commercial or government computers. only your personal computer.

    Thanks in Advance.

  • I bought CS5 Design Premium (Student and Teacher Edition) 3 years ago. Now I want to upgrade it but where can I find prices for Students and Teachers for upgrades?

I bought CS5 Design Premium (Student and Teacher Edition) 3 years ago. Now I want to upgrade it but where can I find prices for Students and Teachers for upgrades?

There are no upgrades for Student and Teacher Editions. You can continue to use the version you are using, or you can buy CS6 with no special upgrade price, or subscribe to Creative Cloud. However, I believe if you still qualify, you're offered a discount on Creative Cloud.

  • Can I legally sell my older CS5 Premium Student and Teacher Edition?

Hi, this is my first time in this forum.  I am a Graphic Design student and last year bought the Adobe CS5 Premium Student and Teacher Edition as advised by professor, only to find out now that he ill advised me.  The Master Collection contains the programs that I need for my design classes and the student and teacher edition serves a significant discount but I don't know what I am to do about the $450 I spent just a year ago?  My grandfather helps me with my educational expenses and I am so dissapointed to have to tell him that my advisor was ridiculous to not just tell me to get the Master last year and then all I would have had to do was to upgrade (a cheaper solution).  Can I sell my old CS5 as long as I clearly state that is for personal use and could not be registered with Adobe because it already has? I've only used it on my Macbook Pro, no other computers.  Any suggestions?  That is alot of money in my book to just throw away.

To be even more explicit than Bob's short and correct response, you can not legally sell or in any way transfer your license for any student or academic version of any Adobe software to anyone else. We are very sorry that your professor provided poor advice to you.
