  • Can i use a 85 watt charger for my macbook pro that came with an 60 watt charger?

My charger broke a few weeks ago and i ordered another one on amazon and that broke within a week so i'm going to just buy another one from the apple store. But i dont want to wait to order one because i currently cant use my laptop since it died (i dont live near an apple store), but theres a store that sells apple products. they only have 85 watt for the laptops though. so would i be able to use that without ANY issues? I would rather order from the apple store than to buy something that can cause problems, so i just want to know if my macbook will be safe if i use an 85 watt instead of the 60 watt, which is what originally came with my laptop. Thank you.

An 85 watt charger will be fine. Generally, you can use a higher-powered charger than the one that came with your MBP - but using a lower-powered charger is not recommended.

  • Can I use the 85 watt charger on the 13" unibody aluminum MBP?

Can I use the 85 watt charger on the 13" unibody aluminum MBP instead of the 60 watt that came with it??
Is it safe to use any of the 3rd party chargers instead of the $79 Apple model?? Some of these are 1/2 the price or less

"Some of these are 1/2 the price or less..."
How much is your computer worth: $40, $50? The counterfeit power adapters that I've seen are improperly grounded - is that OK for your computer or you personally? The real power adapters meet are necessary international safety and agency compliance standards - do the counterfeit products meet the same threshold. The real power adapters have over-current, over-voltage, and over-temperature protection...do the counterfeit products have these features.
Is your personal safety and your computer worth more than $40 or $50?

  • Can i use a 85 watt charger with a new macbook air

Can i use a 85 watt charger with a new macbook air that comes with a 45 watt charger. One says its 14.8 volts and the other is 20 volts.

To be clear, the wattage of the adapter is not the power delivered to the Mac, but rather the power the adapter is capable of delivering.
Think of it as the difference between a 200 HP and a 400 HP engine; both can drive at a certain speed with no issues, the difference is what happens if you floor the gas pedal.
The same is true between the higher wattage power adapter that comes with the iPad and the one that comes with iPhones; you can use the higher wattage adapter to charge and iPhone with no issue, but if you try and use the iPhone adapter to charge the iPad it may work, but it will take much, much longer.

Can I use my 10 watt charger from my iPad 3rd generation to charge my iPhone 4

While iPhone and iPod chargers don't really charge the iPad, the iPad charger will successfully charge all other devices.

You should be able to.  As long as you are signed in to the same AppleID that has an available balance.  The services are linked.

You should also ask this in the MacBook Pro forum. This is the forum for the 13” white and black plastic MacBooks that were discontinued in 2010. You should also post this question there to increase your chances of getting an answer.

There's nothing at the Apple Store. Whatever you need you will have to get elsewhere. You can download Mountain Lion if you have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and an Apple ID. See:
Upgrading to Snow Leopard, Lion, or Mountain Lion
    Upgrading to Snow Leopard
You can purchase Snow Leopard by contacting Customer Service: Contacting Apple for support and service - this includes international calling numbers. The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will receive physical media - DVD - by mail.
Third-party sources for Snow Leopard are:
    Snow Leopard from Amazon.com
    Snow Leopard from eBay
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store.
Before upgrading check that you computer meets the minimum requirements:
    Snow Leopard General requirements
      1. Mac computer with an Intel processor
      2. 1GB of memory
      3. 5GB of available disk space
      4. DVD drive for installation
      5. Some features require a compatible Internet service provider; fees may
          apply.
      6. Some features require Apple’s MobileMe service; fees and terms apply.
    Upgrading to Lion
First, you need to upgrade to Snow Leopard 10.6.8 as stated above.
You can purchase Lion by contacting Customer Service: Contacting Apple for support and service - this includes international calling numbers. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
Before upgrading check that you computer meets the minimum requirements:
    Lion System Requirements
      1. Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or
          Xeon processor
      2. 2GB of memory
      3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
      4. 7GB of available space
      5. Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.
    Upgrading to Mountain Lion
Be sure your computer meets the minimum requirements:
Apple - OS X Mountain Lion - Read the technical specifications.
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mountain Lion
      1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
      2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
      3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
      4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
      5. Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
      6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
      7. Xserve (Early 2009)
    Are my applications compatible?
See App Compatibility Table - RoaringApps - App compatibility and feature support for OS X & iOS.
Am I eligible for the free upgrade?
See Apple - Free OS X Mountain Lion upgrade Program.
For a complete How-To introduction from Apple see Apple - Upgrade your Mac to OS X Mountain Lion.

  • Can I install one 8 GB ram in a MacBook Pro (13-inch, Early 2011).

Can I install one 8 GB ram in a MacBook Pro (13-inch, Early 2011).  The other slot is not working, I have only one slot that works. It is stated in this link http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1270#link1 , that the maximum memory is 8 GB where every slot slot has 4 Gb.  Is there any problem if i install only one 8 Gb ram in the working slot ?

You should be able to do that.
    Maximum Memory
16 GB (Actual) 8 GB (Apple)
    Memory Slots
    2 - 204-pin PC-10600 (1333 MHz) DDR3 SO-DIMM
Understand that there is no guarantee it will work, but based on the above it should work for you.

There aren’t any. AirDrop between the platforms requires that the Mac support Bluetooth 4.0, which wasn’t introduced to them until the 2012 models.

  • Can I use an 85 watt charger with my mac air

I have multipke 85 watt chargers from mmp's but only one for a 2011 mac air and want to be sure that it is safe to use the 85 watt chargers, hate to waste $ purchasing a charger just for the mba.

It's fine. You can use a higher than specified wattage, just not a lower one, when charging a MacBook.
My MBA is tied to a 85 watt this very moment, and most of the time.

  • Can i use a 5 watt charger on ipad retina?

Have an ipad retina display ( not mini) my charger got ruined and bought a 5 watt charger, can i use it?, will it ruin my ipad? Will it reduce the overall batrery life. Thank you for support

No, the iPads use chargers that are either 10 or 12 watts...a 5 watt charger is not powerful enough to charge an iPad.
