Can I use a Cricket sim in a Straight Talk Iphone 6 Plus?

Just bought a Straight Talk 6 Plus. I am currently with Cricket Wireless. Will I be able to insert sim in phone and get Cricket Service?

Hey arholmes,
It sounds like you want to have that iPhone unlocked to use with a different carrier. If that is the case take a look at the article below to walk you through how to do that if Straight Talk allows phones purchased from them to be unlocked.

If it is the nano SIM card size then you can use the same SIM card in either the iPhone or Android phone which supports the nano SIM card.

  • Can i use my old sim [iphone3g] in my new iphone 5c?

    Hi.
My provider 3 mobile have sent me a new sim with my new iphone 5c. Can i use my old sim from my 3g also on 3? Why would i want a new sim, i dont understand. What information is on the sim? Thank you in advance.
    J.

No.  The new 5C uses a microsim which is much smaller than the SIM in your 3G.  The SIM is needed to identify you with your carrier cellular towers.  See this for more info... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subscriber_identity_module

  • Can I use a foreign SIM card in my unlocked iPhone 4s?

I Bought a second hand iphone 4s which was on Vodafone, then was unlocked for me by Vodafone to use on T-Mobile in the UK. I am moving to Germany in 2 weeks and want to know if I can use my unlocked iPhone with a German SIM card as my main phone? I don't want to have to buy another iPhone! Any help gratefully received!

For what it's worth - I travelled to the US for a one year period and I lived in California. The reply above is correct in stating that AT&T or T-Mobile are your only options.
To be honest, all you need is voice calls that aren't roaming as WiFi is pretty freely available - at least it was wherever we went.
You could just get a PAYG Sim card from one of the above providers - it was relatively inexpensive for us to use for a year so it should be perfectly adequate for you to use for three weeks.
Yes - there won't be data over Edge or 3G but as I said, WiFi is readily available.
The only issue will be converting an ordinary PAYG Sim into a Micro Sim for your iPhone 4. There are lots of videos showing how easy it is to cut one down - I guess you just want to make sure that it doesn't get stuck in the phone!
The other simpler option would be to leave your UK SIM in place and just turn off data roaming so you can only use WiFi. Then go and buy yourself a cheap PAYG phone from a Target or Walmart or similar. T-Mobile charged us $25 per PAYG SIM from their store whereas we realised we could get the same SIM with a cheap Nokia handset for $20 from the supermarket.
That way, you only need to make sure that you don't use your UK number for calls etc as US roaming isn't cheap.
    Hope this helps.

  • If I buy a Iphone 4 that has no sim card, can I use my 3gs sim card to activate this Iphone 4?

I found an Iphone 4 on ebay, and am wondering if I can insert my sim card from my 3gs phone, and get it to work, and then sync it with all my purchases on Itunes? I dont want to pay that much for a phone without being sure. Please advise what options I have. Thx

Yes, your SIM Card is compatible with the iPhone 4, but it will have to be cut to size of Micro SIM to fit in iPhone 4. Your Carrier can easily transfer your # to a Micro SIM for you. If in the US go to ATT store and they can provide you with Micro SIM Card.

  • I want an iPhone 3gs as I currently have a nokia lumia 620 but can I use my micro sim in the 3gs

Hi i want an iPhone 3gs but can i use my micro sim or do i need a sim adapter? answer soon

The iPhone 3GS takes a standard full-size SIM. It's possible that an adapter will work, but it will probably be more reliable if you get a full-size SIM from yur cell carrier.
EDIT: I concur with Tim. The 3GS is a very old model now, as smartphones go, so I would suggest a newer model, saving up if you have to. I myself wouldn't buy anything older than an iPhone 4S at this point.
    Regards.

  • Can I use a local sim card with my Australian bought iPhone and iPad?

I bought my iPhone 4 and iPad2 in Australia. I'm travelling to South Korea and Japan for two weeks. Can I use a local sim card with my Australian bought iPhone? If so, can I still link my iPad2 to my iPhone4 with a personal hot spot?

Only if your phone is officially unlocked. Is it?

  • Can i use a GSM sim on a CDMA iPhone 4S after a CDMA factory unlock?

I just got an iPhone 4S as a gift from my cousin in Canada. Upon trying to get a factory unlock for it i was informed that it is a CDMA phone. If unlocked can i use a GSM sim with it? Am in South Africa.

There is no way to "unlock" a CDMA iPhone. Only the sim slot can be officially unlocked, and that can only be authorized by the carrier the phone is locked to. None of the Canadian carriers will authorize such unless you are a current/former customer who used the phone on their network...obviously, not you. Thus, there is no way for you to get the sim slot unlocked. Send it back to your cousin & have him/her get the sim slot unlocked.

  • IPhone 4S fell on some water, was working but now won't work. I got a replacement coming. Can I use the old Sim card in the new phone if it wasn't damaged? Will I get my pictures and contacts and messages back if it wasn't damaged?

My iPhone 4S accidentally fell into a very shallow bit of water. The phone was wet, but worked afterwards for a short bit. Now it's not working, so I called and got a replacement phone coming. Same exact phone. Can I use the old Sim card in the new phone without harming anything? I don't know if the sim card got messed up or not, but I had a lot of pictures and messages and my contacts on my phone, and I assume these were on the sim card or am I wrong? I just wan to know if I can use the old sim card if it's still working in the new phone that is coming, as long as there was no damage to it? Thanks

I think I had it on the iCloud, I just changed computers and had part of my old computer backed up, where are the default iTunes info saved like the pictures and I know my contacts were backed up cuz I kept getting updated stuff that I wasn't sure about, but it was contacts where some belonged to my wife's contacts....but anyway, if the cloud backed up contacts, it should have grabbed pictures too? Like I asked before, if they were backed up to the computer, is there a default iTunes folder they are saved to? I had a crap load of pictures on there that I usually could really access if I was connected to wi-fi. I turned off my data stuff as I only have 4GB and between me and my 2 kids, we seemed to use up a lot of it. My son would play music from Pandora during work, and use up all our data til I limited him to only 3GB, my daughter and I barely used 1GB. Anyway, thanks to everybody that is answering. I thought I might have done good finding the dang sim card, but pointless I guess.
Ralph - F.Y.I. I would be happy to back up the iPhone if I could turn it on LOL......I am pretty positive I did, but what about Text messages? ANY of those saved too or not? Sorry guys, I don't know a **** of a lot about cell phones, but I do know about memory cards, but not sim cards that act like memory cards or look like them anyway. What is the purpose of a sim card if I may ask a stupid question since they don't hold any data from my phone stuff. I just hope my stuff comes back on the new replacement phone once I get it up and running. Again, thanks to everybody for the edumucation.

  • "can i use a 4g sim in 3g ipad" "Bell Canada"

    Can I use a 4G Sim card in a 3G ipad 2? I'm with Bell Canada

Sorry, I just saw the end of your reply: "Why don't you just get a 3G SIM?"
Because of a communication glitch. I told the salesman I had a 3G ipad, or at least I think I did. There was a promotion, 2 months of unlimited data for 5$ a month, which I signed up for. With the contract came  a cardboard SIM enclosure that has "4G" written on the right-hand corner (I saw that only when I got home)- I did not ask for the SIM card.
I'm going back to the store tomorrow for an exchange. There already is a 3G SIM in there which I planned to activate around this time of year, but for which there doesn't seem to be the same special offer.

  • If I buy a Canadian iPhone can I use a British SIM card I.e. O2

If I buy a Canadian iPhone can I use a British SIM card I.e. O2

You must get an unlocked phone from Apple. You will not have access to 4G or LTE systems. Your warranty will only be valid in Canada. You will have to pay any import or duty fees. Why not buy a phone in Britain?

  • Hello. I've just bought a new iPhone 6 in miami apple store as a unlocked phone. But now it shows the message that my phone is locked and I can't use my russian sim card. What I need to do to unlock it?

. I've just bought a new iPhone 6 in miami apple store as a unlocked phone. But now it shows the message that my phone is locked and I can't use my russian sim card. What I need to do to unlock it?

The device is locked to Verizon wireless not a Russian cell provider.
You can use Verizon here in the states. Get a Verizon Sim.
In out of the country use, pop in that Sim and it should work. However Verizon does not unlock for use in the USA.
And you must be a Verizon customer to get it unlocked to use in other countries. Apple claims it will work in other countries.
    Good Luck
