Can I use a mini vacuum to clean keyboard?

I've had my macbook pro for about 1.5 years and I have not cleaned it once (internally). Yesterday I upgraded my ram and it was disgusting how much dust was in there, I have a mini vacuum and 2 cans of compressed air in the mail, now this is my plans:
1. Take off the keys individually and use the mini vacuum.
2. Take off the back case and use compressed air can (mini vacuum around the edges).
Please tell me if this is acceptable, it's gonna be so dusty i think i'll need the mini vacuum for the back part?C
EDIT: Is it best I just use the vacuum whilst the keys are still on?

Don't take keys off.
Use canned air.
Use vacuum cleaner specially made for vacuuming computers/electronics.

Hi there,
Did you find out anything more in regard to this?
I have been using Pro Tools 8 with the MBox 2 connected to my iMac operating Leopard. It worked a treat for nearly four years.
However the hardrive has just been replaced on the iMac which now has Snowleopard. I don't want to have to update to Lion and then fork out £500 for Pro Tools 10.
I would be content to get Logic Pro 9 if I can attach the MBox 2 to it.
Your advice would be appreciated

First, Go to System Preferences, keyboard, and click on the Keyboard tab
Make sure that the checkbox by "Use all F1, F2, etc, keys as standard function keys" is NOT checked.
Next, click on the Show All button, and select Bluetooth. You should see your Apple Wireless Keyboard listed on the left side of the screen.
Click once to select it, and then click the gear icon at the bottom of the box, and choose Disconnect.
Power off the keyboard by holding down the power button on the keyboard for a few seconds until it show "keyboard Off on your imac screen, then turn it back on again.
The device should appear once again in your bluetooth list.
Try out the volume control buttons now, and see if that cleared things up

Only is it has cellular data. A wifi only iPad can give turn by turn directions and maps only.

I have an Envy 23 all in one computer with the DVD-CD drive which is upright built into the side. I also have a DVD camcorder that used DVD-RW MINI disks. Can I put the mini disks in this disk drive safely or will they get STUCK in there. So far I can't find any documentatio and I am AFRAID to put a mini disk in this drive for fear I won't be able to get it out.

You cannot use "mini-discs" in your slot-load CD/DVD drive. Inserting a "mini-disc" into the drive may cause permanent damage to the drive.

I have an Intel Mac mini. Main computer is Macbook on ethernet cable. Can I, with the right cables, use the mini to watch downloaded movies on my HDMI tv?

Use your MacBook Pro because it has FireWire. Use Target Disk Mode on your Mac mini so that the Mac mini will display on the MacBook Pro like a external HDD. You'll need a FireWire 400 cable. You can get one for around $10 if you don't have one. And I recommend getting that sooner than later because you can use that for many things if your computer has issues. Anyway, to put your Mac mini is target disk mode, connect the two computers with the wire. Turn on the Mac mini with the "T" key down after your MacBook Pro has started and ready. You'll see the FireWire logo on your Mac mini. And on your MacBook Pro, you'll see the Mac mini's HDD as an external HDD. Do whatever you need. When you finish, drag the Mac mini drive to the trash to eject it. Few seconds later, turn off your Mac mini to complete the whole process.

The quick answer is: yes, you can view your slingbox video on a mac.

It seems to me that while you CAN connect the mini to your iBook with FW (or ethernet) and run the mini from the iBook's keyboard and display, the performance of the combined system will be the poorest common factor between processor speed and data transfer speeds. In other words, while you will be able to run the mini and it's software, the combined iBook/mini system not going to perform all that well, and aside from possibly giving you access to software your iBook wouldn't be able to run (depending on what processor, speed and RAM it has), using a mini that way is typically not all that cost-effective.
Keyboards are cheap (I bought a $29.95 wireless USB keyboard/mouse combo from WalMart to use with mine at home), and a display need not cost much at all if you don't already have one.
