Can I use a pc version of cs3 on mac?

I have a Pc version of  photoshop Cs3, i got it back in 2008 when I was using a XP operating system.
I have currently refurbished a mac from the same time period (2009) and would like to install the program onto the mac.
Of course I realize mac and pc are incompatible (for the most part) with each other. But I have my product registered here. Can I download it into my mac with out the CD? or with the CD and have a patch?
or is this just a futile idea?
thanks for the help!

Photoshop CS3 Serial number is diffrent for Windows Installer and MAC installer.
If you have Serial number of Photoshop CS3 for MAC then you can download Trial version of Photoshop CS3 from : http://prodesigntools.com/download-adobe-cs4-and-cs3-free-trials-here.html
Please follow Very important instruction before clicking on download link.
After downloading trial version you can use serial number to serialize and activate photoshop CS3.
This download will work only with Retail / Single User License only.

    I did import an old photo, still in RAW format, but i can't use the latest version of LR, there are some buttons missing. Why is that. I haven´t used LR that much. Only a few times. Is there something I fail to do when I import pictures?
    Thank you in advance.

    If you're going to be a professional, consider the $10/month a steal compared to the cost of tuition. 2c.
    Well, it does depend a bit on whether he/she lives in a country where tuition might be zero, and the minimum monthly wage far lower than in the West. Perhaps CC is not even available in his/her country. Perhaps he/she has to take care of an entire family as well - and no money is left for anything as luxurious as a CC subscription.
    We have no way of knowing his/her circumstances. They might be bad. If they are, I doubt Adobe will care she/he is using a cracked old version to learn the craft, and then go legit at a later time when she/he can afford it to produce professional work.
    Honestly, I feel Adobe should just provide their tools for free for students. Autodesk does that. No reason why Adobe should not follow suit. Most students I know work with cracked versions anyway.

    That's an interesting question Chris let's look at the original text and parse it:

    So the wifi iPad is what he's got and he's moving to japan in a month. Are we clear on that point? But when we get to the second sentence, "Can I use the verizon version of the ipad in Japan network? That's where I'm assuming he's not gotten the Verizon ipad YET. And that is how getting an AT&T iPad is going to solve his problem. Tx.
    The Verizon iPad has wifi.
    I'm assuming he has a Verizon iPad (why else ask about Verizon?) and the OP simply did not specify "I just got an iPad 2 16GB, Verizon version".

  • Can I use a Asus Nvidia gt640 with a mac pro 2006?

    Just got my first intel mac! Not the newest thing but it will do. I just have a quick question, can I use the Nvidia gt640 2gb with a Mac pro 2006 with no flashing of the system or the card. Thank's. -Edward

    First, you need to look at what OS version you have.  Mnay people (myself included) running some of the newer OS version are using Nvidia cards not released for the Mac.  OS X Mavericks for example will support these cards, but you lose some functionaility (boot screen, etc.)  Once the machine is up and running they work fine.
    With a 2006 model you are before the 3.1 machines and therefore limited in the OSX version you can run.  I think you need at least 10.7 Lion.
    So if you can run 10.7 the answer is probably, but then you will lose some basic functionality.  For many this is not important.

  • How can I use a progress bar in objective c mac

    How can I use a progress bar in objective c mac? I have a code that downloads a file and I want to be able to let the progress bar increase by 1. A bit further on the code (to download the file) it needs to increase again. And so on...
    My code
    -(IBAction) downloadButtonPressed:(id)sender;{
        //get the path to the image that we're going to download
        NSURL *url = [NSURL URLWithString:@"https://www.dropbox.com/s/l6o07m48npxknt4/Cluedo.zip?dl=1"];
        //get the path to documents folder where we're going to save our image
        NSArray *paths = NSSearchPathForDirectoriesInDomains(NSDocumentDirectory, NSUserDomainMask, YES);
        NSString *DocumentsDirectory = [paths objectAtIndex:0];
        NSString *filePath = [DocumentsDirectory stringByAppendingPathComponent:@"Cluedo.zip"];
        //Download the file to memory
        NSData *data = [NSData dataWithContentsOfURL:url];
        NSError *error = nil;
        //Save it on the Documents directory
        [data writeToFile:filePath options:NSDataWritingAtomic error:&error];
        NSFileManager* fm = [NSFileManager defaultManager];
        NSString* zipPath = filePath;
        NSString* targetFolder = @"/Applications"; //this it the parent folder
        //where your zip's content
        //goes to (must exist)
        //create a new empty folder (unzipping will fail if any
        //of the payload files already exist at the target location)
        [fm createDirectoryAtPath:targetFolder withIntermediateDirectories:NO
                       attributes:nil error:NULL];
        //now create a unzip-task
        NSArray *arguments = [NSArray arrayWithObject:zipPath];
        NSTask *unzipTask = [[NSTask alloc] init];
        [unzipTask setLaunchPath:@"/usr/bin/unzip"];
        [unzipTask setCurrentDirectoryPath:targetFolder];
        [unzipTask setArguments:arguments];
        [unzipTask launch];
        //[unzipTask waitUntilExit]; //remove this to start the task concurrently

    Your code really isn't suitable for a progress bar, not a real one anyway. Your code will spend about 99.9% of its time in the method "dataWithContentsOfURL:url". That is not a method you want to use in the real world. It is only for demos or proof of concept exercises. All network operations should be asynchronous. That gives you the ability to gracefully recover when there is a failure and also to do fancy things like display a progress bar and tell the user when the download is complete.
    Once you get the asynchronous download logic working, then you can worry about the progress bar. The first thing you will need is the size of the file. Without that, all you can ever do is an indeterminate progress bar or spinner. If you have the size of the file, then you can keep track of how much of the file you have downloaded and update your progress bar with the percentage complete. Make sure to throttle it to no more than incrementing by 1% at a time. Otherwise, a large file or a file transferred in many small chunks, would waste too much time updating the progress bar for no change.
