Can I use an Image in Shape based Buttons?

I have a 4 layer .psd file (created in Gimp 2.2 in X11). I have followed every tutorial I have found here, and then tried several other arrangements as well, but I can't get the button to act correctly.
I want the multi-colored Shape to be the Selected layer (appearing only when in the Highlighted state). What seems to be the kicker is that I also want the Text to be included in the Highlight area and I want it to change color. Not only will the Shape not go away when in the Normal state, but the Color covers the image instead of just affecting the text.
Any ideas? Thanks!

Ps. It would be nice if there was a way to make a three layered button file: Normal, Selected, Activated. Have I just missed this function?

It took me a bit to figure out these project files (I'm a tad slow sometimes <smile>). Thanks so much for linking me to it. It was very insightful.
However, the buttons manipulate which layers are visible on the Menu, not within the button itself. It would be awesome if there was a tool like the "Layers" tab (on a Layered Menu button creation dialog box) for normal buttons. As far as I can tell there is no way to make a 3 layered .psd file for an individual button that can then be defined as the 3 states. That way I can create the layout of a menu within DVDSP rather than having to go out to Photoshop or Gimp.
Am I making sense? I feel like this is totally convoluted. Sorry.
Am I still missing something? Or does DVDSP not let us create individual buttons that can then be placed within a project?

Well if you restore your iPad that might work. If its a software issue, it might solve it. If that doesn't work, it might be a hardware issue that apple can fix.

If you get to the point in my instructions where you have the text selected and you Enable as hyperlink, you will need to set the "Link To" option to bookmark or figure and then choose which bookmark or figure you wish to link to. You may not have any of these items defined yet. If that's the case nothing will show in the list.
If you place an image on another page, select it, go to the Widget tab in the Inspector and select the Title option. You can then assign a label to the image (Diagram, Figure, Image, etc). Once you have a label assigned to your image, it will apear in the list of linkable objects when you set your hyperlink.

Can I use each image in a photogrid as a hyperlink?

I downloaded an Aperture folder onto an iWeb photos page and the photos are now in a photo grid. Can I use each individual photo as a hyperlink to another page? Ultimately what I want is to be able to click on each photo individually and have it be enlarged (via a link to another web page where I have downloaded the image a second time in large). Is there an easier way to do this? The only thing I could come up with is to do this tedious hyperlink/photo grid process, but iWeb is not letting me hyperlink with the individual photos in the photo grid.
Any ideas or ways to get around this? Thanks in advance for your time!!

If you have a lot of photos putting each one in its own page might create a large site. You might consider uploading your larger versions to your iDisk and then, as Wyodor suggested, link a small version of each photo on a regular page to the large version to be opened in a separate window. See the small *stamp image* in the middle of this demo page as an example. You can set the size of the large photo to what ever you'd like so that if will fill up the window. Getting back to your original page would be by closing the new window. Although not as elegant as a separate page for each photo it might be quicker to create.

If the report in question is same as the post on which I replied a few minutes ago, then you can try this:
1) Create a parameter in the Main report. Go to Field Explorer and create a new Parameter.
Set the List of Values option to 'Dynamic' and choose the Region Field from under 'Value'
2) I'm assuming the Crosstabs are placed in the Sub-report. So, right-click the subreport and select 'Change Subreport Links' > Move the Main report parameter to the 'Fields to Link to' area and from the drop-down for 'Select data in subreport based on field' choose the Region Field.
This will automatically add the Main report parameter to the selection formula of the sub-report.

How can I use an image as a button and make it invisible unless selected?

I have been trying to use this button I created in Photoshop in Encore but I cannot get it to work the way it should. First I import the image and drag it onto my menu. Then I select "Object" then "Covert to button". That creates a button but I want it to be invisible unless I select it. Creating a button this way only overlays colors on top of the image when selected vs not selected.
What I need is to have the image been a subpicture highlight. I tried to use Photoshop to create a layer under my buttons and use the image there, typing (=2) as the layer name. I think this is supposed to show the button in its selected state?
But that doesn't work. The image is invisible when I open the menu in Encore, not matter what I select for button highlights.
Could you please explain how to create an invisible button but use an image as its selected state and possibly another for its activated state?

With CSS mill, the solid color was defined in the color.X.property file and there is no place to define an image to use as the background? Is it doable to use an image as the background for teh entire page? If so, where to add it and how to implement? Thank you!

While I have been able to add the image to a JLabel and insert it into frames, so that it looks like a suitable background, I have found it impossible to place any other component over the top of said imageDid you set a layout manager for the label?

Can I use an Image Map to link to an SLP

I am working on a project starting with the Desktop Catalog with Homepage layout, and have created 4 additional generic SLPs. I added an image to the homepage slp and would like to use an image map to link to the 4 generic slps that I created. But I get an error when running the site and clicking on any of the image map links. Clicking on the link opens a new window with a "This program cannot display the webpage". At times I have gotten a script error when clicking the link rather than the This program... message, but I cant seem to replicate that at the moment.
I am able to do a simple hyperlink on the image to an slp, but this, of course, only gives me the ability to link to one of my additional pages....
Any ideas?

I did finally figure this out... it is possible to map to an slp file from an image map... the trick has to do with how slp files work in RH,and makes sense, sort of, once I got it to work. When you generate html5, htm files are generated fromthe slps.
When you link to an slp file in a regular hyperlink, during the generation of the site, RH translates the slp refernce to the htm file reference that is generated from the slp. But for some reason, i.e., a bug IMHO, with an image map, when you link to an slp file, RH does not convert this slp reference to the .htm reference (as it does with normal, non-image map hyperlinks.
So the way to get this to work, is when you create the image map link, put in the htm file name that will be created during generation.

OK since midday today firefox 3.6.24 apparently no longer executes javascript on ebay. Can't use the "add to watch list" buttons or the enlarge photo buttons. It says 'javascript at the bottom of the firefox window but nothing happens.

just as I wrote above.. ebay loads and functions. I can bid and view auctions but trying to either use the "add to watch list" or "add to wish list" buttons or to switch between different posted photos of an item just gives me javascript:; at the bottom left of my screen but clicking the button has no effect.I'm still running 10.4.11 with the last java download.. is this an ebay change to a newer java version not supported by my os or is it a firefox error..oh and one more thing each page seems to have become 4 times longer..ie there is a huge empty space as I scroll down the page before I hit the bottom.Only appears to do this on ebay..haven't found any other sites showing similar errors and everything works fine on my imac running firefox 4 under 10.5

According to your description with your problem, it is Product edition and key are not match. Firstly of all, we must make sure the system you installed on your computer was
Windows Vista Business, not matter 32 or 64 bit.
Note: you can check current system edtion at System Properties.
After that, you can try to input your product key and activate your system for test.
If problem still presists, it would be better to provide the activation error message.
