Can I use and Iphone 4 in Australia?

Hi All,
I'm from Canada and over here we can buy the iPhone 4 unlocked and without a contract. I am moving to australia for a while and was wondering if anyone knows if I'd be able to use my phone there. I'm not that tech savvy but I know that it has a new smaller sim card which is different from the iPhone 3GS. I will be getting a sim card in Australia, does anyone know if they even have the new smaller type of sim card there?
Thanks for any help.

You can get a microSIM from all carriers for use as post-paid and pre-paid in Australia.
