Can I use at command line an import dimension using table interface?
Hi guys
I am using EPMA to load some dimensions using the table interface but I want to know if it is possible to lauch it using a command line?
Regards
Hi John
I am facing a strange case, after migrate the developments that call the EPMA Batch Client uding ODI 11.1.1.7 to the test environment. I have various package that load data on the table interfaces
and in a next step call the epma batch client.
However when I execute the package, the log file is wrote. However the new customers are not loaded. But If I execute the command (Step on package) that call the epma batch client the log also
is wrote and the member is loaded.
Any suggestion about what can be happening and how I can solved.
Thanks in advance,

Command Line Export/Import Utility
Hi,
Is there a way to perform a command line export/import as if you were doing this via the Oracle ApEx GUI?
If so, what is involved?
Thanks.
Tony.To import using SQL*Plus you are limited to installing an application as the original application ID and into the original workspace (both being the IDs contained in the file itself in various places). You can connect as any schema assigned to the workspace so long as that schema is not also assigned to other workspaces. If it is, you can connect as SYS, SYSTEM, or the FLOWS_xxxxxx schema, options that should be reserved as a last resort because of the undesirability of connecting as these privileged accounts.

How can we use TABLE CONTROL in BDC and WORK FLOW of ABAP.
how can we use TABLE CONTROL in BDC and WORK FLOW of ABAP.?
please explain the important questions. How to deal with table control / step loop in BDC
Steploop and table contol is inevitable in certain transactions. When we run BDC for such transactions, we will face the situation: how many visible lines of steploop/tablecontrol are on the screen? Although we can always find certain method to deal with it, such as function code 'NP', 'POPO', considering some extreme situation: there is only one line visible one the screen, our BDC program should display an error message. (See transaction 'ME21', we you resize your screen to let only one row visible, you can not enter mutiple lines on this screen even you use 'NP')
Now with the help of Poonam on sapfans.com developement forum, I find a method with which we can determine the number of visible lines on Transaction Screen from our Calling BDC program. Maybe it is useless to you, but I think it will give your some idea.
Demo ABAP code has two purposes:
1. how to determine number of visible lines and how to calculte page number;
(the 'calpage' routine has been modify to meet general purpose usage)
2. using field symbol in BDC program, please pay special attention to the difference in Static ASSIGN and Dynamic ASSIGN.
Now I begin to describe the step to implement my method:
(I use transaction 'ME21', screen 121 for sample,
the method using is Call Transation Using..)
Step1: go to screen painter to display the screen 121, then we can count the fixed line on this screen, there is 7 lines above the steploop and 2 lines below the steploop, so there are total 9 fixed lines on this screen. This means except these 9 lines, all the other line is for step loop. Then have a look at steploop itselp, one entry of it will occupy two lines.
(Be careful, for table control, the head and the bottom scroll bar will possess another two fixed lines, and there is a maximum number for table line)
Now we have : FixedLine = 9
LoopLine = 2(for table control, LoopLine is always equal to 1)
Step2: go to transaction itself(ME21) to see how it roll page, in ME21, the first line of new page is always occupied by the last line of last page, so it begin with index '02', but in some other case, fisrt line is empty and ready for input.
Now we have: FirstLine = 0
or FirstLine = 1 ( in our case, FirstLine is 1 because the first line of new page is fulfilled)
Step3: write a subroutine calcalculating number of pages
(here, the name of actual parameter is the same as formal parameter)
global data: FixedLine type i, " number of fixed line on a certain screen
LoopLine type i, " the number of lines occupied by one steploop item
FirstLine type i, " possbile value 0 or 1, 0 stand for the first line of new " scrolling screen is empty, otherwise is 1
Dataline type i, " number of items you will use in BDC, using DESCRIBE to get
pageno type i, " you need to scroll screen how many times.
line type i, " number of lines appears on the screen.

begin type i, " from parameter of loop
end type i. " to parameter of loop
*in code sample, the DataTable-linindex stands for the table index number of this line
form calpage using FixedLine type i (see step 1)
LoopLine type i (see step 1)
FirstLine type i (see step 2)
DataLine type i ( this is the item number you will enter in transaction)
changing pageno type i (return the number of page, depends on run-time visible line in table control/ Step Loop)
changing line type i.(visible lines one the screen)

Can i use one interface to load data into 2 different tables
Hi Folks,
Can i use one interface to load data into 2 different tables(same schema or different schemas) from one source table with same structure ?
Please give me advice
Thanks
Raj
Edited by: user11410176 on Oct 21, 2009 9:55 AMHi Lucky,
Thanks for your reply,
What iam trying is ...Iam trying to load the data from legacy tables(3) into oracle staging tables. But i need to load the same source data into two staging tables(these staging tables are in two different schemas)
can i load this source data into two staging tables by using single standard interface(some business logic is there)
If i can then give me some suggestion how to do that
Thanks in advance

How can I use table headers only without using rows.
how can I use table headers only, without using rows and without leaving the space.
If anyone could say me how to paste the pic in this questions, I would have shown it.
The flow of view is in this way
{Table header(table on top of table)
column header1___|| column header2__ || column header3__ ||}
<b>Here is the blank space I am getting, How to avoid this space?this space is of one table row height</b>
{Contents column1 || Contents column2 || Contents column3 || (This is of other table below the uper table)}
I am using scroll for the content part of table only.
So I am using two tables.
I am using NW04.I did the possibles you explained, but couldn't get rid off the space.
Any other solutions?
I am keeping the header static and the content columns scrollable.
I have used two tables one to display header above and the other to display only the contents.
I have put the contents table in scroll container.
And the header table in transperent container.
Thanks and Regards,

RF transactions, can I use tabl econtrol
Hi! All,
I am developing custom RF transactions for character based SAP Console.
Can I use table control or should I stick to step loop and write the code for scrolling. I beleive step loops are obsolete but I dont know if I can use table controls in character based screens.
Thank You,
-PriyankaI think you need to use STEP LOOPs only.

Command Line Export/Import for ApEx
Hi There,
I was wondering if there is an ApEx Utility that allows the Export and Import of applications/pages/images/style sheets etc from the command line on a Linux box.
I am using Oracle Application Express v3.0.1
Thanks.
Tony.Tony,
Another post in the past has discussed about this already.
Exporting/Importing a *Bunch* of Applications
John Scott wrote a blog post about this as well at [http://jes.blogs.shellprompt.net/2006/12/12/backing-up-your-applications/|http://jes.blogs.shellprompt.net/2006/12/12/backing-up-your-applications/]
In short, you can use APEX utility - APEXExport to export and standard SQL to import.

thanks in advance.Hi,
Hi i tried creating the telemetry logs directory but
the logs are not being populated. i created the
following directory:-
/opt/SUNWmsgsr/data/telemetry/imap/usersns1
where usersns1 is the userid.Make sure the permissions (ownership) on the user directory and the sub directory match those that messaging server uses - by default mailsrv:mail. This is the most common cause of the telemetry data not being created. The other thing to verify is that the user's account isn't stored as user@domain, otherwise you may need to create the directory as the entire user@domain (try both just to be sure).
Also pl. tell me where can i get the command list
for sun one messaging server to use the command line
utility to list, delete mailboxes. also can i search
for all the mailboxes under one domain name. if yes
then which command i have to use.The Messaging Server reference guide is a good place to start (lists all the command-line utilities/flags and what-not):
http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-4429?l=en
The mboxutil command is used to list/create/delete mailboxes and you can use a pattern to only list those mailboxes in a specific domain.

Shane.
thanks in advance. -
How can I deploy by command line on AS 10.1.3?
I have used oracle AS 10.1.3.
I have created ear file from command line.
But I don't know how i can deploy by command line?
However i can deploy from Web manage.
So, Please tell me How i can deploy by command line when i want?
ThxHello,
In OracleAS 10g R3 (10.1.3.x) you can deploy by command line using the admin_client.jar utility, that is exposed also as Apache Ant tasks. In 10.1.3.x you can use the same tool to deploy in a single stand alone OC4J instance to a multi-nodees cluster managed by OPMN.
Here the documentation about this utility:

- Deploying with the admin_client.jar Utility
-Deploying with the OC4J Ant Tasks

Why can I not find "command line options" in FF help?
I can't find any information in the knowledge base on windows command line options for Firefox. I actually had to go to "http://kb.mozillazine.org/Command_line_arguments" to find this information. This seems like a fairly common piece of information FF users would want to know. At least, it's not extraordinarily rare.
You have out-of-date plugins with known security issues. You should update them.
* Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in, version 10.3
* Next Generation Java Plug-in 1.6.0_21 for Mozilla browsers (new security update releases 10-12-2010)
#'''Check your plugin versions''': http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/
#*'''Note: plugin check page does not have information on all plugin versions'''
#'''Update Shockwave for Director'''
#*NOTE: this is not the same as Shockwave Flash; this installs the Shockwave Player.
#*Use Firefox to download and SAVE the installer to your hard drive from the link in the article below (Desktop is a good place so you can find it).
#*When the download is complete, exit Firefox (File > Exit)
#*locate and double-click in the installer you just downloaded, let the install complete.
#*Restart Firefox and check your plugins again.

I can't get this command line code to work in JBuilder...
Dear Experts,
I built a simple JAVA program, in JBuilder, that displays a GUI with a label. It works when I am in JBuilder clicking on the Run button. But when I try to run
"-classpath /[home]/ jbProject/ProjectNameRob/RobClasses ProjectNameRob.RobClsJav" from the command line I get this message:
"Could not create Java Virtual Machine."
I am in the jdk/bin directory and I still can't figure out how this thing works. Could the experts come forth and help me with this problem?
Thank you,
Robert L. PerkinsWell, this won't be an exact answer for you because I'm not sure which run of "java -cp ...." did it for me, but I was able to get a run of a class in JBuilder 3.0 from the command line.
I created a project called test_1.jpr. It has the following 3 files:
Controller.java // contains a main( ) method
test_1.html
Test1.java // extends from JFrame
On my system, the directory structure is:
C:\JBuilder3\myclasses\test_1
Tried:
C:\JBuilder3\myclasses\test_1>java Controller // no good
C:\JBuilder3\myclasses>java test1.Controller // no good
C:\JBuilder3\myclasses>java -cp %CLASSPATH%;C:\JBuilder3\myclasses Controller // no good
C:\JBuilder3\myclasses>java -cp %CLASSPATH%;c:\JBuilder3\myclasses\test_1 Controller // no good
C:\JBuilder3\myclasses>java -cp %CLASSPATH%;C:\jbuild~1\myclas~1\test_1\Controller
That resulted in the "usage" output to appear for the "java" .exe. But right after that, I did:
C:\JBuilder3\myclasses>java test_1.Controller
and wham, the application ran fine. I'm running Windows 98 SE, if that helps. Probably won't help you much, but I just kept messing around with it and then it worked. Voodoo.
