Can I use current Firefox 3.6.3 with Windows 7 (64 bit)? If not can Firefix be used at all with this operating platform?
Windows had event logs indicating "Shutdown Degredation" saying it took to long for the program to stop.

Do you mean saving a password?
If you clicked "Never" then you have created an exception that you need to remove.
Remove site(s) from the Exceptions:

I run Firefox 29.0.1 on Windows 7 (64 bit) and I get the "Firefox is already running but not responding. In order to open the program you must close the existing window." error. EVERY TIME I try to start Firefox. The posted solution works to start the program, but it is not a permanent solution. I go through the Task Manager and end the old Firefox process, then I can open a new window. While working, I can open multiple tabs and multiple windows, everything seems to (usually) work the way it should. Then after I completely exit Firefox, in order to open the program again I need to fix the SAME error again. Every time. It doesn't seem to hurt anything really, but it is quite annoying.
I used to get this same error on some of the older Firefox versions but it was only once in a while. With the new 29.0.1 it is literally EVERY TIME I TRY TO RUN FIREFOX!!!!
So, down to the big question: is there a permanent fix for this yet? Or will there be one included in the next version update? Or am I going to have to go back to Internet Explorer? I know I am not alone in this experience; i've seen several other users posting similar questions but none of them received satisfactory answers. Firefox has stopped working altogether (Windows 7). It will NOT start. The spinning start up graphic will spin for a moment, and quit. I have uninstalled everything that I could find to uninstall, and then re-installed, but to no avail. I have followed the currently posted suggestions with out success. Any other suggestions?

Hi, I've got an imac using mac os x version10.4.11, does anyone know of any printers that are compatible with this operating system version?
Yesterday I set up a Canon IP3600 to work on a PowerBook G4 running OS 10.4.11. It is a print-only unit. I got the 10.4 drivers off the Canon website before connecting the printer. Many Brother printers still have support for older Mac OS versions.
If you need a multi-function device, it is gettng very hard to find any that support PowerPC Macs (pre-2006) of OSX versions older then 10.6 any more.
As you posted in the PowerPC iMac forum I assume you have one. However, there are some Intel Macs (2006 and newer) still running 10.4. Check "About this Mac" under your Apple menu: if it says you have an Intel processor, you have many more doors open. -
Firefox 6 running under Windows 7 64-bit does not render fonts correctly.
The default sans-serif font for Firefox is Arial. Running Firefox 6 under Windows 7 32-bit, the font renders properly, but under 64-bit Win7, the font is too heavy, and bold or strong makes no difference. I run Win7 64-bit on a laptop computer and use Firefox 5 on it, and the fonts render properly. Possibly a Firefox 6/64-bit problem?

That said, I understand troubleshooting fatigue and when you find time to think about Firefox again, and have the opportunity to shut down and restart Windows, you might try testing in Windows Safe Mode with Networking, a mode that blocks some external programs that can interfere with Firefox.

Firefox won't install on Windows 7 64-bit.
I just installed a new hard drive on my system with Windows 7 64 Bit OS. Same that I used on the old hard drive that crashed. I downloaded the installer, and have tried to run it both with and without administrator permissions (by right clicking on the file). the UAC asks me if I want to proceed, i say yes, I get a flash of some window and then . . . . nothing. I have downloaded a another copy of the executable, with the same results. I am using my laptop to post this.
Firefox is normally pretty simple to install. Look at any security software you have installed is any of that somehow blocking or preventing the change.

Driver is not in pull up list and not in OS(can't update OS basic). Almost all series are listed but 4200 series is missing.
After upgrade to Windows 7, it has become a problem. Some solution should be given.

RaulOk, I found in the Net the drive 7uw706ww.zip, which is Version 6.1.4.2, while the updated version is 6.1.10.5 (7UW708WW).
I tried again the GPS, and it wasn't working.
Anyway, before downgrading, I tried to reinstall the new driver, downloading and installing the .exe instead going through System Update.
Result: now GPS is working (same place, same conditions, just 5 minutes later)!
Don't know where the difference is...

What other versions have you tried. Several of us and my family members had complete success installing [ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/5.0/win32/ FireFox 5.0] over top of FireFox 6.xx and thus solving all the problems with the current FF versions.
This is on Win 7 64x (my computer), my wife's Vista machine and a friends older WinXP computer.
