Can I use iPad charger to charge iPone?

Can I use iPad charger to charge iPone? Will that affect iPhone's battery life?

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. Totally safe. The iPhone controls how much current it draws.

  • Can i use my iphone 5 charger for the ipad air

Can I use my iphone 5 charger for the ipad air?

It's really not recommended. The iPhone's 5w charger does not output enough current to properly charge the battery. It -may- charge but if it did, it would charge the iPad very slowly.
This would be like trying to fill a bucket of water (iPad) with a squirt gun (5w charger)
Also under iOS 7, the charging requirements are much stricter than iOS 6. You'll likey get an error message if you try.

Can I use my Iphone 4 charger to charge my Ipad 2?

Nothing will be ruined by offering less power. Options for charging given in the documentations include USB sockets on your computer, which only offer half of the power of the iPhone charger. Any method of charging will work, differing only in how long it will take.

Can I use my 10 watt charger from my iPad 3rd generation to charge my iPhone 4

While iPhone and iPod chargers don't really charge the iPad, the iPad charger will successfully charge all other devices.

Yuppers, but you just can't do it in reverse since an iphone charger won't put out enough juice to effectively charge an ipad

  • Can i use a 85 watt charger with a new macbook air

Can i use a 85 watt charger with a new macbook air that comes with a 45 watt charger. One says its 14.8 volts and the other is 20 volts.

To be clear, the wattage of the adapter is not the power delivered to the Mac, but rather the power the adapter is capable of delivering.
Think of it as the difference between a 200 HP and a 400 HP engine; both can drive at a certain speed with no issues, the difference is what happens if you floor the gas pedal.
The same is true between the higher wattage power adapter that comes with the iPad and the one that comes with iPhones; you can use the higher wattage adapter to charge and iPhone with no issue, but if you try and use the iPhone adapter to charge the iPad it may work, but it will take much, much longer.

  • Can I use the 40g/ipod charger with my ipad2?

Can I use the 40g/ipod charger with my ipad2?

Not the best idea, it'll overheat and could damage either the ipad or the charger. The iPad will be attempting to draw more wattage then the little charger is designed to put out.
Here is a link for the proper one http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC359LL/A?fnode=MTc0MjU4NjA
This would work for both :)

  • Can i use an old car charger with a usb port to charge my iPhone 5s?

Can I use an old car charger for a not smart phone to charge my iPhone 5s through the usb port?

    Usually you can!
check if the specification of charger (USB output) is 5V (very important) and at least 500mA (more power like 1000mA --> 1A allow you to charge greater devices like iPad)
But personally is not good idea, because in short/long time can damage or reduce the life of battery of your iPhone/iPad etc.
    Bye

Can I use the 85 watt charger on the 13" unibody aluminum MBP instead of the 60 watt that came with it??
Is it safe to use any of the 3rd party chargers instead of the $79 Apple model?? Some of these are 1/2 the price or less

"Some of these are 1/2 the price or less..."
How much is your computer worth: $40, $50? The counterfeit power adapters that I've seen are improperly grounded - is that OK for your computer or you personally? The real power adapters meet are necessary international safety and agency compliance standards - do the counterfeit products meet the same threshold. The real power adapters have over-current, over-voltage, and over-temperature protection...do the counterfeit products have these features.
Is your personal safety and your computer worth more than $40 or $50?
