Can I use iPad pay as you go nano sim in iPhone 5s?

can I use an iPad pay as you go nano sim in my iPhone 5s? Thank you. Jackie

The chances are that it will only provide data not voice in the same way most carriers ensure a iPhone sim will not work in a non voice device such as an iPad
Carriers are adept at ensuring only sims with valid tariffs are used

  • How can I get a pay as you go nano sim for my Ipad mini celluler

I was bought an Ipad Mini Cellular for Xmas but it did not come with a nano sim, I have contacted all servcie providers and no-one can provide me with a pay as you go nano sim, I can only get a contract nano sim, but I want a daily one like you can get for the Ipad and micro sim.
All providers advertise the daily packages on the Apple website but when you speak to them they are not available.
I feel like  have been mis sold the Ipad mini as I cannot use it with cellular daily plan, unless I requested a nano sim at time of purchase (which was not done), so now apple say they cant help, has anyone had a similar issue ?

If it is wifi only then you cannot add a sim card.  If you are still within the 14 day return period then return it and purchase one plus a wireless plan from a wireless provider.  Otherwise, you need a mobile hotspot to use when there is no wifi available.

But, the US is not like Europe...your choices are very limited, as in only one real choice: T-Mobile.

  • Can i use iphone6 in greece with a nano sim from vodafone?

can i use iphone6 in greece with a nano sim from vodafone?

See above From what I can see the Thai carriers lock their iPhones and do not unlock
If it came from direct from Apple in Thailand  then it should be unlocked
Borrow a sim from a different carrier to yours and see if it gives service

  • Ok, seriously what do use iPad for if you have a Mac and iPhone?

I have the MacBook pro and an iPhone 4, I recently bought an iPad and at first I loved it and enjoyed watching videos and browsing the web ect... But since I was so used to using my iPhone for these situTiobs I find myself reaching more for my iPhone when I want to look something up or check email ect... What do most people use the device for?

I essentially use it to consume content, whether that's watching movies and shows, emails and surfing. I also use it for grocery shopping (using the Ocado app) and I'm really getting into it using FaceTime and Skype for video conferencing. The iPad 2 is really well suited for video conferencing - much better than my MBP because I can flick between camera's if I want show something other than my face off, and easily walk around with it.
I also use it quite heavily to control my MacMini which is my HTPC - I do this using Logmein which is a really great app - in fact it's almost as good as using Back to My Mac on my MBP, which is what I used to use to control my Mac Mini.
I'm about to experiment to see if I can use the iPad to list an auction on eBay. I've already got my pictures loaded into the Photo app, and my descriptions written using Pages and stored in a Dropbox folder. All I have to do now is troubleshoot getting everything into eBay using either Safari or Atomic browser.
Ideally I'd like my iPad to be a replacement for my MBP - I think it will be quite some time before that happens, but so far it's a great mobile companion.

  • Can I use ipad as mobile my placing idea sim

    <Edited by Host>

No.  The iPad has no mobile telephone capability.
It only uses cellular connection to access the internet. There is no access to the Cellular Voice and Text service from the carrier.

  • How can i use ipad with apple tv

How can i use ipad with appletv

Assuming both devices are on the same network and that AirPlay is not turned off on the Apple TV, then simply tap on the screen when you are watching content you wish to stream to your Apple TV, then tap the airplay icon that appears in the control bar, choose the Apple TV from the menu that appears.
When displaying the content you wish to mirror on the iPad 2 (or better), iPad Mini, iPhone 4S (or better), double tap the home button (quickly) and swipe the bottom row of apps to the right to reveal the playback controls, tap the AirPlay icon and select your Apple TV from the list of available devices.

If I buy an iPad in the US, can I use it with a European carrier's sim card as well?

Yes, if you get an iPad 2 AT&T model or a new iPad. Be aware that the new iPad may not use the same frequency for LTE that is used is parts of Europe.

  • Can I use iPad (in contract) in other countries while I am travelling with there local SIM? Or, only WiFi will be available when I travel?

Can I use iPad (in contract) in other countries while I am travelling with there local SIM?
Or, only WiFi will be available when I travel? Or, nothing will work?

Either will work. 4G only works in Canada and the USofA. In foreigh countries the New iPad will fall back to 3G if you have a local sim and iPad data plan from a local provider.

  • I was using O2 Pay as you go. Now I'm using a monthly contract but I want to use my old number.

I was using O2 Pay as you go. Now I'm using a monthly contract but I want to use my old number.  How can I get to that position?

The situation is as follows:  I was using an O2 Pay as You Go but suddenly noticed that it was costing me 14 pence a text which as I am very hard of hearing I prefer to use rather than the telephone.  I then saw an advertisement for a BT package offering unlimited texts plus other things for £5.00 a month so I gave that a go.  I then discovered that for 90% of the time I was unable to get a signal from my living room where I do most of my texting so I dumped BT and took an O2 package with unlimited texts for £8.50 a month.  Having said that I don't understand why I need to be careful about MMS charges if I send what in my lack of knowledge I would refer to as a multi address message.  As you can see I'm new to this mobile telephone thing and I really appreciate the help I'm getting from this Forum.
