Can I use my App Store gift card to buy music on iTunes?

I was wondering if I could use my appstore gift card to buy music on itunes. Does anyone know?

Open iTunes then select iTunes Store on the left in the source list.
Then click Redeem under Quick Links on the right.

    The Mac and the iPad uses different operating systems (iOS in the iPad, and OS X in the Mac), and they use different applications. Pages has got two versions, one for iOS and another version for OS X, so if you have Pages for your iPad, you have to pay to have that application in your Mac

    However, when I check my balance in the app store it does not show that I have been refunded. Does this just take time or what?

    The App worked to  begin with but within a couple of weeks it was then no longer available, the support was no longer available either, and even the web page was taken down.  It came up as Forbidden on the Server.  So it wasn't working anywhere, so yes, it appeared to me to be a fraudulent App which got people to pay money for it which was then useless.  Am not fighting for more.  Where did I say that.  It cost £19.99 and I expect to have a refund for that amount, not part of it.  Not a Credit to my Account either.  If you buy something in a shop (UK) that doesn't work you are entitled to a refund not a credit note.  Classed as 'not fit for the purpose intended'!
    Perhaps here in the UK we have better and clearer consumer rights than in the US.

    I had the same error when trying to update my apps on my ipod touch. I tried to input my security code numerous times to no avail. I also made sure my billing address was the same as what my bank had on file. To fix the issue I went into iTunes, logged onto the iTunes store, went to account settings and reviewed my recent purchases. Turned out that I had made a recent purchase and didn't have enough money left on my credit card to pay for it at the time. I paid off the credit card, and then input my security code once more and now it works fine. I've heard that some debit or pay as you go credit cards require a minimum balance, so make sure you have at least that amount in your account.
