Can I use my AT-MIO-16X DAQ card on a PC running Win2000

I am currently using an AT-MIO-16X card, on a WIN98 PC with Labview 5.1 and the SQL Toolkit. the network admin folks are wanting/demanding I upgrade to Windows 2000. Will this old card work on Win2000?

Hello Hjs,
AT-MIO-16X DAQ board will not work with Win2000. You find the following link useful in your search.

  • Can I use multiple PCI-MIO-16E-1 cards under NT 4.0 SR3, LV 5.1, & NI-DAQ 6.5.1?

We have not been able to run multiple AT-MIO-16E-3 cards with NT 4.0, because (partly) the cards & NT are not PNP. Will changing to the PCI-MIO-16E-1 &/or PCI-6071E (64 channel version) allow us to simultaneously run multiple (same type) MIO cards on the same computer? We want to use one card to interface to SCXI, & it appears that the PCI version uses the same cables/connectors as the AT series.

    Hello;
The PCI version of the e-series boards have pretty much the same features of the ISA version, the only difference is the bus.
So, you should be able to use the same acessories as you use with the AT boards.
Anyway, you can still try to install the AT boards with NT. The following link is a good step by step installation guide with some troubleshooting hints also. You just need to select the board and OS you are working at.

  • Can I use ARM LM3S8962 like a DAQ card?

I have the ARM embedded software and have used it to write some programs that run on the LM3S8962.  What I'm wondering is if I can have a program that runs on the PC that "talks" to the ARM board occasionally to query the inputs or control outputs.  If it is possible, how would I do that?

You absolutely can use an ARM LM3S8962 like a DAQ card, the only restraints you have are how fast the microprocessor can run and the limited amounts of AI you have available on the Luminary board. you can simply add an AI elemental I/O node to your project and wire your transducer to the luminary board. You then can take the data from the microcontroller and send it to the Host PC through a network published shared variable. There are a couple of tricks to this that may not be completely evident. I have included two links that I think will help you get to where you want to be. The first is setp by step how to connect an accelerometer to teh ARM board, but you can modify it for your own transducer.

The second is hwo to use network published shared variables on an ARM board. I hope this helps!

  • Can we demodulate the signal recieved at DAQ card without using any hardware interface(by only using labview)?

There is probably a way to do it, but it it may be easier to use an X-series board for the job.   They support a new counter capability for count reset on a digital edge without needing to be configured in encoder position mode.  I am not sure exactly how that feature's been implemented however, so maybe it won't make things easier after all.
The plan based on the hoped-for behavior:
    1. Configure an X-series counter for pulse generation based on "ticks" of your clock channel.
    2. Set both initial delay and low time to the critical # of ticks.
    3. Configure for count reset on a digital edge (if possible in pulse generation mode)
    4. Configure the count reset value to be the critical # (or possibly 1 less, if possible in pulse generation mode)
    5. If you want the output to remain high indefinitely, configure the counter task to use its own output as a
pause trigger, and pause while high.
The way pulse generation works is to preload a # of "low time" ticks into the count register.  Then every source edge will decrement the count.  When the count reaches terminal count (0), the counter's output is toggled (or can be configured to pulse).  The register is then loaded with the # of "high time" ticks and the process continues.
You would be perpetually interrupting the count-down process as long as you got your triggers in time.  The count would keep getting reset to the # of low counts, keep decrementing toward 0 without reaching it, and so on.  If ever you did reach 0, the output state would toggle high, then the high state would prevent subsequent clock signals from decrementing the count.
You can conceivably do a similar thing with a 6601, but I'm pretty sure you'd need 2 counters working together to get it working.

can i use my iphone without a sim card as a ipod?

The SIM card is not required to use an iPhone as an iPod or to be used for anything else besides cell phone related services.
For a no longer activated iPhone, the no longer activated SIM card that was used with the iPhone when it was activated must be inserted in the iPhone in order to install an iOS update and for no other reason.

It will accept them but it may not transfer any faster. That's limited to the buss used back then which was most likely the fastest it could be in it's day.

  • I bought iphone4 in china,  and it broken when I was in USA. After I sending to your company. You send me a new phone, but this phone is locked phone. I can't use it. Because my sim card is from china

I bought iphone4 in china, the ss number is 82044JAVA4S, and it broken when I was in USA. After I sending to your company. You send me a new phone, but this phone is locked phone. I can't use it. Because my sim card is from china, so I think you shoulu give me a unlocked one.

    I understand your frustration.
Fortunately for you, you can make your new phone to work; but to do so, you have to call your Chineese carrier and give them the IMEI number found on the SIM card of your iPhone.
They will then activate it and you will be able to use it.
It's NOT a matter of locked/unloked phone; it's a matter of activating (pairing) a SIM card with a phone !
Just call you Chineese carrier and have them register your SIM card with your new iPhone and you will be back in Business !

  • Can I use a mac app store gift card for the mobile app store?

If I purchase an Appstore gift card for the Mac App store, does the credit also apply to itunes, and the regular iOS App Store?

The iTunes Store and Mac App Store use the same user database, so any credit in your account can be used in either place. Gift cards, while they may be labeled as one or the other, are actually identical and can be redeemed though either the iTunes Store or the Mac App Store.
Note, though, that gift cards for the Apple Store are completely different and cannot be used in either the iTunes Store nor the Mac App Store.

How can I use in app purchase without credit card using account balance

    Hi Kaijinfromtx,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
When you make an In App Purchase, the iTunes Store should use any gift balance or account credit first. You may still be asked to verify the payment information on your account before completing the purchase.
You can find more information about iTunes Store billing in these articles:

Can I use ifile for slideshow from sd card? Without importing.

    Hi Abby,
You've posted your question in the Numbers for Mac community, where the topic of discussion is issues and techniques involving the Mac versions of Apple's spreadsheet application Numbers.
From the description on the developer's website, it appears iFile is a file management application for iOS, used for importing and exporting files between computers (Mac or Windows) and iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod). The closest to an appropriate community here would appear to be Using iPad, or one of the other device-baed communities. I've rquested a transfer of your quetion to that community.

  • Can I use AI functions rather than DAQ assistant?

Can I use AI config, AI start, etc. instead of DAQ assistant to read values from accelerometers connected via an A/D card? How do the AI functions work?Lastly will switching to AI functions result in a quicker program?
    Cheers
    Sam

    Sam,
from your second  point i take it that you are starting to browse examples. The device number (as numeric value) is a parameter you have to use when working with traditional DAQ. NI does not recommend to use traditional DAQ anymore except if there is no other solution (e.g. hardware which is not supported in DAQmx).
Since you already worked with the DAQ assistant, your hardware has to support DAQmx.... so you should look into the DAQmx examples.
    Another hint:
You can exchange the DAQ assistant by DAQmx code simply by rightclicking on the assistant and  select "Generate DAQmx Code". This will result in DAQmx code doing what you configured in the assistant (please note that the assistant is getting replaced, so it is not available on the blockdiagram after this). Study this code. As a general framework, this works out very good.
    hope this helps,
