Actually, the bb charger is a 5V, 750 mA charger (which would make it a 3.75W charger vs the 5W that Apple sells for the iPod). Therefore, I would think that my bb charger should work for both bb and iPod, but would charge the iPod at a slower rate, with little harm done to the gadget, but I defer to any opinion that would suggest otherwise?

The Blackberry has a charging lead, one end of which fits into the Blacberry, with the other ending in a USB attachment which fits into your pc. Likewise the iPod USB charging cable. Blackberry also provide a charger which fits into a 3 pin power socket, and a connection into which the USB connector of either the Blackberry or iPod cable fits. My question is whether you can safely plug the iPod USB cable into this charger (which has a dc output of 5 volts and 0.5 amps) in order to charge the iPod?

Check your Settings > Network Connections > Mobile Network > Network Technology to tell me what are your network choices listed as? 2G, 3G, etc?
You may need to get a new SIM card from Vodafone.
Has the one you have now worked for 3G?

HT1665 Can I use a 10 W USB power adapter from an IPad to charge an iPhone 5s.

I have 10 W. USB power adapter that I bought for my iPad. Can I plug my iPhone 5s into it to charge? I see that the adapter that comes with the 5s is listed at 5 watts.

Deleting the account on your phone only removes if from your phone. The account and it's data remain intact and doing so will not effect your daughter's phone.
To do this, first go to Settings>iCloud on your phone and turn any synced data (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off, and when prompted, choose to keep the data on the phone. When finished, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. Then set up a new iCloud account with a different Apple ID and turn any data you want to sync with iCloud (contact, calendars, etc.) back to On. This will upload your data to your new iCloud account.

Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:

Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi) to do a standalone AMDS install.
(If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you? If so, does your device connect without that message now?

I updated my iPad to 7.0.6 but I find the new look very irritating. In mail I can no longer swipe left on a message to erase it. The font in calendar is so small I can't read my appointments. I happen to like the yellow paper that was in notes.

You have to swipe from right to left to delete mail.
In the settings, accessibility you can make fonts bolder, that helps a bit.
THe yellow paper...sorry, no tweak for that unless you find a different notes app to use.

Under the Effects-Lumetri Looks-Desaturation choose a B and W effect. Then add the luma corrector from the Video effects-colour correction section. Adjust the brightness and contrast to get the effect you want.

You should be able to play most videos with QuickTime player once both are installed.

Ok, so I just worked out that itunes communicates through your browser so it's a cookie in the browser not PC direct that fixes this. Bit of a convoluted route but for me it was IE>Internet setting>privacy>sites, then allow all activity from apple.com/itunes.

Yes, first try deleing both songs.
If still problem
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, ,make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Can I use US purchased Torch 9800 in Europe?

I was about to ditch the Torch because I've read on travel sites that BB isn't supported in Europe, specifically Italy, Greece, England. ATT gave me instructions to unlock phone but I was told I'm best off buying IPhone or Samsung.
A short time ago I was up on blackberry's site FOR Italy. So, I figured, I have a "world phone" and you guys may be able to help me determine:
1. Keep BB or get new phone?
2. Unlock BB and get new sim cards in each country?
3. Do apps travel w/ me even if I change sim cards?
4. Best use of BB abroad to not rake up huge phone, SMS, wifi bills?
Any other words of wisdom?? (I've been w/ BB pretty much since day 1...I'd prefer to stay!)

Different issues surround that, as discussed in the linked post above. If your specific BB model number is not natively supported by the specific network on which you operate it, it will not receive BB services automatically, even if that network supports other BB models. When I traveled internationally, the solution was both...my "home" BB on an international roaming plan (so that people could call it and stil find me, as well as so I could have my BES services), and another device with a local SIM (so that local folks wouldn't have to dial the USA to reach me down the street from them in Beijing).

Apps are associated to your BBID, which is stored at BlackBerry. But, it is accessed via the carrier BIS services...so, back to the above...if the carrier cannot provide your BB with BIS services, then nothing that depends on it (BBID) will function.

Again, "best" can only be determined by you. For me, I racked up $2,000 bills on my "home" BB each month that I traveled. But, for what was needed, this was acceptable since the alternative would have been cheaper, but not functional for my needs at that time.
OK....review all of that and see where it takes you...feel free to ask more once you've digested all of that information. Just know that, with BB, it's not as simple as just putting another SIM into the device...BBs are special, and BIS is needed for full services, but is not necessarily available to your specific BB model number. I know of no carriers that have their networks natively support all BB model numbers...that would be very cumbersome for them, and actually a bit useless (e.g., a GSM carrier has no need to support a CDMA-only model BB).
