Can I use my camcorder AV cable for the Zen Vision

Hi,I am about to buy a Creative Zen Vision M 60GB and if i order 3 items I can get a discount. So Im gonna get the unit, a wall charger and then I was looking to get an AV cable. However, I have my AV cable from my Sony Camcorder that is about 4 yrs old. Does any know 4 sure whether these kind of AV cables work with the Zen Vision M 60GB so I can hook it upto my TV?Thanks

The sound quality should be good. Have you tried a different HDMI cable?

I have an imac bought late 2013, can i use it as a display for the new mac pro running windows 8 through bootcamp?

No. Target Display mode is only supported when connected to a Mac running 10.6 or later.
It cannot be used with a PC, bootcamp, gamaing console, cable box, DVR or PowerPC Mac.

Can I use my iphone 5 charger for the ipad air?

It's really not recommended. The iPhone's 5w charger does not output enough current to properly charge the battery. It -may- charge but if it did, it would charge the iPad very slowly.
This would be like trying to fill a bucket of water (iPad) with a squirt gun (5w charger)
Also under iOS 7, the charging requirements are much stricter than iOS 6. You'll likey get an error message if you try.

Yes, it supports target display mode. Windows can be run with either Parallels or Boot Camp.

  • So can I use our local internet provider for the e-mail account, or do I have to use Apple?

So can I use our local internet provider for the e-mail account, or do I have to use Apple?

Yes, you can use the Mail app on the iPod for your internet mail provider.  Go to your provider's mail support website to find out how to set up the account on the iPod.  They probably will not have instructions for an iPod but the one for the iPhone should do.

  • Can I use my Android tablet charger for the PlayBook?

    Hello,
I got a PlayBook and it came with the wrong charger plug. It's for the US that I can't use here in Germany.
Can I use my Android tablet charger for the PlayBook instead?
The information on the chargers are similiar but for the output it's a bit different: (They both say 5V but than 1.8 instead of 1.5)
    PlayBook charger output: 5V = 1.8A
    Android tablet charger output: 5V = 1.5A
    Thanks for any feedback.

It'll charge slightly slower, but yes.

  • Windows 7 64 bit driver for the Zen Vision M?

    - Where EXACTLY can I find the Windows 7 64-bit driver for the Zen Vision M? My new computer came with it installed in Windows Media Player 2, but the driver became corrupt. I can't seem to find that driver on the Creative or Microsoft download websites. Please Help!

The driver is nati've to Windows. Creative does not write the MTP driver. I would suggest re-install WMP2 or contact Microsoft for advice if it is corrupt. As for software to use the player on a 64 Win 7system? there is nothing for the Vision M. You may want to read this page? http://support.creative.com/KB/showarticle.aspx?sid=605&h=3

  • What travel dock/speaker system for the Zen Vision 60gb?

Hi all, forgive me if this has been asked before, but I have just bought the Zen vision 60gb, and I would like a compatible travel dock; does anybody know which Creative dock the Zen 60gb will fit's I am not sure myself as the ones I have been looking at refer only to the Zen vision 30gb,
I intend to use it for holidays, camping etc.
Failing that, can anybody recommend a good portable speaker set up for the Zen vision 60gb?
    thanks for your time guys!
    cheers Dave

Any set of computer speakrs can be connected to any MP3 player. They would be far more versatile than a docking station, as the docking station becomes almost useless after the player breaks. Alternati'vely, if your husband's office computer has speakers, he could just plug the Touch into the computer (may require a software installation) and just play the music through the computer (no cash outlay at all ?.)
If you decide to go with speakers, $50 should be able to buy you a pretty decent set of amplified speakers; there is no need to go beyond a 2 speaker (stereo) system since MP3s only output in 2 channels.

  • Data Recovery Software for the Zen Vision M

Data Recovery Software for the Zen Vision M:
Has anyone had any success recovering lost sound files from a Vision M, with software, physical repair services, or otherwise? Does anyone claim to be able to recover information from these devices?
The data recovery programs I have tried fail to recognize the dri've, since it doesn't show up in list of dri'ves for some reason (Is there a way to make this show up?). Any suggestions/ recommendations would be greatly appreciated as I lost over a year of recordings after an unexpected forced reformatting. How would one even go about finding someone for this job?
    Thanks, GW

Haven't really tried the data recovery so I would like to know more about this one too.

  • Can I use a 4th generation cable for a 5th generation iPod?

I recently bought a video ipod because my 4th generation one died. Is it possible to use my 4th generation firewire cable and wall plug to charge my ipod in the wall? I would really like to not have to buy a USB wall plug.
I figured I can't use this to sync my ipod - I read that the ipod is optimized for USB 2 now. Am I right about that?
Please let me know. I'm curious. Thanks.

You can indeed use the 4g with the new 5g but only for charging. I did it and it was fine.

  • Can I use something other than HDMI for the apple TV?

My TV and AVR are in different locations. For this I ran the connection with cat5 and hooked it all up with component video. The AVR won't down convert the hdmi to component out so therefore I can not plug hdmi into it. Does the apple tv connect video only through hdmi? If so could I hook up a unit to the tv itself and one to the receiver independently for sound?
    I have a pioneer sc-25 and a samsung plasma (b650 maybe?)

That won't work. The only way you can get sound to the AVR without using the HDMI or optical cable is to use it as a remote speaker from iTunes. Remote speaker doesn't push video. You would have a synchronization problem between your tv and your remote speakers driven by iTunes.

  • How can I use my Mac OS X for the next time

    Dear sir,
Please, I need your help about Mac OS X and how can I use the OS for the next time I mean when I'm going to format my computer or to use for the another computer.
By the way... I already installed the Mac OS X to my MacBook Pro so please I'm waiting for you advice.
    Mohammed Hussein

    Hi,
He bought the iMac two years after mine.
Would his Mac still be under warranty? It sounds like it is about only a year old and so may be still eligible for phone support, though that may depend on having nearby access to an Apple Tech support.
He could get a replacement disk sent to him as well. The cost,  I don't know.
Your disk would probably work, but you don't need to burn one; just use yours. If you are in two locations, then it would be better for Apple to mail him a replacement disk for his particular Mac.

  • Can I use a different email address for the forums than my Apple ID?

    Hi,
I generally use a particular email address for all my computer/IT forum questions.  This email address is different than my Apple ID email address.
Can I change my forum email address (doesn't look that way) without changing my Apple ID address?
    Thanks,
    Scott

Fair warning... years ago I went with my work email address as my Apple ID. Now, with the advent of iCloud and all the other 'services' attached to your Apple ID, I find that half the time I cannot log into any one particular service. Apple's servers and ID system is getting way too messy. Keep it as simple as you can. If you add a different email address you are pretty much guaranteed that things will get more complicated.
These days, to log into these forums I actually have to log into Apple Store first. The discussion log in page will not allow me to log in any longer.
    Keep it simple!

  • Can I use my Nationwide Messaging plan for the iPhone 4?

I currently have a plan called Nationwide Messaging (you get unlimited texting and data for $35 a month, and minutes are 40 cents each) which works well for me since I rarely use my phone to talk.
All the iPhone FAQ says is that you need a Nationwide plan, which I have, and a data package, which is already included in my plan. So will this work for the iPhone?

You'd have to upgrade to the smartphone version of that plan for $55/month since the $35 plan is for regular phones and it looks like they're are added requirements to be eligible for that one.
    http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/splash/messagingplans.jsp
"Who is eligible to sign up for the Nationwide Messaging Plan?
In order to establish your eligibility for the Blackberry or PDA Smartphone plan, please bring either a letter indicating that you are hearing impaired on appropriate letter head from your audiologist, hearing health professional, speech or language therapist/specialist, physician, surgeon, vocational rehabilitation agency counselor, teacher or credentialed therapist; or (ii) your membership card for the National Association of the Deaf, Hearing Loss of America, AG Bell, Association of Late Deafened Adults, Telecommunications for the Deaf, Inc or other similar group.
No eligibility is required for the $34.99 Consumer plan."
