Can I use my ipad as keyboard with the lightning, usb to my mac connection?
Is there an app for that?
one app i know is "splashtop whiteboard".
it clones your pc screen, you are able to interact with the ipad-keyboard and you could use it as a kind of remote for your pc.
all you need is the "splashtop streamer" app on your pc, but you must be in the same network.
Air display might also work, but i never tested it.

You can use the keyboard you want with your iMac. However, note that some keys, as the Command key, aren't present in non-Apple keyboards. For example, in a non-Apple keyboard, you have to press the Windows key because that's the replacement of the Command key of an Apple keyboard -

That will depend on how you buy the iPad.
If you buy it from an Apple Store directly at full price it will be unlocked, and can take a sim card from any compatible GSM carrier.
If you buy it directly from T-Mobile under a subsidy(at a discount price tied to a service contract) Then it may be locked to T-Mobile for at least 40 days of service with them. -

No, the MacBook does not have the hardware on the logic board needed for the lighted keyboard.

That's really good to know. I thought because it was a different thickness you wouldn't be able to, and the dock adaptor that comes with the new iPods doesn't fit into the old Photo dock.
Do you know if you can use the charger that came with the old Photo iPods? You can plug straight into the power socket, but the cable that goes into the charger from the iPod is the firewire cable, so I was thinking maybe it wouldn't work, and I don't want to try it in case I short out my iPod or something! -
I have a ipad 4th gen with the lightning charging port. I have realised how long it takes to charge and the poor battery life which means I can't take my ipad anywhere. Is there a case that is available that will charge my ipad? I know they are out there for older iPads with the 30pin charger but I can't find one for the lighning 8pin charger.
I don't know what you mean by "poor battery life". If your iPad is working properly you should get 9-10 hours of life.
