Can i use my iPad to backup high definition video from my camera?

I need to backup high def video from my canon 7d to free up card space.  If I export the video to my iPad (who h I can do daily using the cck) , can I re-export it to my MacBook pro without losing any resolution quality? Thanks for any fast responses to this one as I have wifi access for a few more hours before going to rural unconnected area.

Yes, you can do that.
It might also be easier if you got an iPad Camera Connection kit, so you can plug the camera directly into the iPad.

That would be great, you would open the door to professional video editing ipad 2. Is there an accepted camera list?.

There does not appear to be a list yet.

  • Using an iPad Mini How do read pictures from a Camera Card (like SD)?

    Hello,
I just picked up an iPad Mini.
I see that I can browse to online pictures, and that I can take pictures with the device.
However, how do I use the device to browse to existing pictures on a camera card card such as SD Flash that a DSLR Uses?
    Is that Possible?
    Thanks a ton!

  • Can I use my iPad mini to extend the display from my Macbook Air?

Is there a way to utilize my ipad mini wifi, to extend the display from my Macbook Air?

There is no need to charge it before you first use it.  You cannot run the battery too low as the system will shut the device off before that happens to protect the battery.
Generally speaking, your Lithium battery will have the longest useable life if you avoid deep cycles.  Since you can plug and unplug it as you wish, the best thing to do is just charge it up (however much) whenever it is convenient to do so (whether it is 10% discharged, or 20% or 50% - basically don't pay any attention to the battery level, just plug it in when it is convenient to do so to keep the battery topped up).  And try to avoid frequent deep cycles where you run it all the way or very near to the point it auto-shuts off.

  • Viewing High Definition Videos

    iMac 20 inch 2 GHZ
Is it worth paying extra to rent high definition videos vs. standard definition to view on my iMacs 20 inch screen. Is there a noticeable difference in viewing quality? I usually watch videos from about 8 feet away.

Thank you for taking the time to respond.
However, I did not mean to ask if the iMac was capable of playing high definition videos comfortably.
I meant to get opinions on whether high definition videos from iTunes are suppose to look noticeably better than standard definition videos on the iMacs 20 inch screen at a distance about 8 feet. I am thinking that the difference in quality is not noticeable because of the size of the screen and viewing distance.
I rented an HD version of the new James Bond flick and can't see much of a difference in quality between it and a standard definition video of The Office. I don't know if it is just because I am not a videophile or because of the size of the screen and viewing distance? I realize that tells me if it is worth paying extra, but I still would like to know your opinions on the difference in quality that you see.
    I apologize for the confusion.

  • HT4759 My icloud  Backup text keeps showing and blocking my screen. I can't use my Ipad now

My icloud  Backup text keeps showing and blocking my screen. I can't use my Ipad. I touch on either "Ignore" or "Setting" but it doesn't go away.

Reset it by holding the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release. (If you see an off slider first, ignore it.)

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).

I can't use my IPAD 4 because its say Icload backup isn't done last 2 weeks

Have you tried a soft-reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • I can't use my iPad any more, what happened to my iPad with this error:i pad not backed up,this iPad hasn't been backed up.backups happen when this iPad is plugged in,locked, and connected to wi fi.

i can't use my ipad because of thi error:"ipad not backed up,this ipad hasn't backed up.backups happen when this ipad is plugged in,locked, and connected to Wi-Fi."     what i am suppose to do?

Did you already try to reset the iPad by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again?
You will not lose data doing a reset, but it can clear some glitches.

press and hold top power button and home button in front for 6-8 seconds until you see an apple, for it to reset.
and make sure your initiating an icloud backup or it will come up again.
    1. be connected to wi fi
    2. be plugged in to power source
    3. turn screen off
go to settings>icloud>storage and backup>backup now.

  • How can I use my iPad and iPhone in Europe without incurring high costs?

How can I use the iPad to communicate in the Netherlands without incurring huge charges?

Depends on how you are planning on communicating. If you use Wif, then no. If you are using cellular data, you would need to discuss this with your carrier. We wouldn't know here.
    Cheers,
