i want to buy the new ipod nano 8 gb, but i have bought some accesoires for my old nano (1st generation).
Can i use these accessoires for the 3rt generation ipod nano???
I have a ipod nano docking station and a AV audio cable kit with docking station + remote control + audio kabels.
Can i reuse the accessoires for the new ipod nano????

Yes you can but you need to partition the drive into at least 2 separate drives.
To do that you need to use a Windows PC to do the first partitioning. Say you split the drive into two partitions each 1TB (or close to 1TB) each.
Partition fand format both partitions on a Win PC as one NTFS and the other FAT32.
Then move it to the Mac and Reformat the FAT32 partition Mac Extended (Journaled) with a GUID Partition Table.
I have that same drive and that is what I did originally with it. I now have it just for the Mac as I have other externals for the Win systems.

My girlfriends dad works for apple and he said that because of the new low prices, they probably wont do education discounts for the ipods.

You would have to ask the makers of the docking stations that question. Belkin has a dock now that uses Apple's Lightning cable:

so all it basically does is provide a stand and pass through the headphone jack. There's at least one other dock here:

If you're referring to Apple's Universal Dock, there have been no indications that they will make any new dock, though of course none of us here know their plans for future products.

I bought a white iPod touch and a case for the 4th gen iPod touch at the Apple Store thinking it would fit because it is really a 4th gen right? I never had a 4th gen (had 3rd gen) so I'm not sure if it's new but is the power button moved down or something along the back for 4th gen? The case I bought doesn't seem to manage to get this button and it's annoying. :/

Are you sure there are actual differences between this year's and last year's 4g iPod? Maybe the case you go is not really right. The following lists the dimension of the iDevices so that manufacturers can design cases. It only has one drawing for the 4G iPod. It does include a drawing for the iPhone 4s.
