Can i use my mx 2004 files in CC

still using DW mx 2004 untill now but want to join Creative Cloud. Can i use and work with my mx 2004 websites in CC?

Certainly. Just define your site in DWCC to point to the same root folder as you did on your legacy version. Be aware that DWCC is almost nothing like earlier versions. It will require that you have more than a rudimentary knowledge of HTML and CSS to use effectively, and is very focused on valid code and contemporary methods (things that DWMX 2004 had no knowledge of!).

I have an older XMP file that contains settings used to retouch some previous images in a particular way. I'd like to apply those same settings to a new set of images. How can I use that older XMP file on a new set of images in Lightroom?

I’m pretty sure Adobe NEVER intended for someone to copy an XMP file from one photo to another outside of LR as a way to replicate settings.   You can make a preset from a photo, as discussed, or if you don’t want to do that, copy-paste the settings from a representative photo that you initially select to one or more new photos.  You could have a special LR folder that holds standard photos to copy/paste from.  Of course creating a Develop preset from the representative photo is the “normal” way to handle such situations, but maybe you have hundreds of different situations to copy settings from and don’t want to create presets for each one, but I’d argue that you could create a complex folder hierarchy for your presets and still have them findable without that much problem.
As far as the mystery about why some photos show Reset and some show From Metadata, is the Process Version (down in Camera Calibration) of the photo before reading the settings the same between the two situations?  And in general, are these virgin photos newly imported into LR or have some been modified in LR, already?  Does an XMP file already exist for any of these, where that XMP is being overwritten by your external-to-LR copying?  Or do you have auto-write-XMP enabled and your hand-copied XMP is getting overwritten by LR, automatically, before you have a chance to read in anything?

Good luck and you are welcome.
Like I said, I bought one of their inexpensive enclosures and now can use the hard drive just as a source for the files that are on it...my external drives are much larger and faster so I just plug that drive in when I need something from it.

  • To test how can we use the opt  'logical file name' to name the file based

    Hi Sir/Madam,
to test how can we use the opt  'logical file name' to name the file based on the selection made in the dtp run for extracting data as flat file.

    Hi Vishali,
In the DTP select the file location as application server and give the logical file path. The actual file and logical path can be created using transaction "FILE" and "AL11".
Rest of the process is same as that of extraction from local file.

I have lost all emails on Entourage and can only retrieve emails via hostway that have been delivered today.
Trying to get help from Apple care is a nightmare as they need a serial number, which Lion being a digital download does not have one only web order number, which does not work when I put in serial box.
Can any one help me please, I am getting so frustrated

dual partition just means splitting the space on your hard drive into two, having Snow Leopard on one part and Lion on the other so you could use Office '04 on the SL side.  I am pretty sure installing '11 won't delete '04, but can't say with 100% certainty.  You can also check out free word processing programs such as OpenOffice and LibreOffice.

  • Can I use my own sound files as contact ringtones?

Can I use my own sound files as contact ringtones?

yes - you can use GarageBand for this.
    Open GarageBand
    Create a new project
Insert the song file from iTunes. (Go into the Finder, select ~/User/Music/iTunes/iTunes Library and find the song you want.)
    Drag that song into Garageband.
in Garageband - click the Share menu, and Send Ringtone to iTunes.
You will then have to select which 40 second portion of the song you want. It will create it, and send it to iTunes automatically.
    In iTunes
Select Preferences. Click on the General tab, and make sure that Ringtones has a checkmark beside it so that you see it in the list on iTunes.
When you hook up your iPhone, you will be able to select the ringtone(s) you want to sync.

  • Sender file adapter - Can I use *.xml for the file name

    Hi Gurus,
I have some interfaces where I need to pick the file from a directory. The name of the file will have Data<i>time stamp</i> as the naming convention. Can I use *.xml to pick up my files from this directory?
The help.sap.com documentation says that we can use this naming convention.
    <b>
    &#9679;      File Name
Specify the name of the file that you want to process. The name can contain placeholders (*, ? (placeholders for exactly one character)) so that you can select a list of files for processing.
    </b>
I tried using *.xml for my file name in the communication channel, XI is not picking up this file.
Please let me know if you have the solution.
    Thanks
    Kalyan

    Murthy,
    Thanks for the reply.
I am using GuildFTP tool as my FTP server. In this tool, all the permissions were given for the file to pick up.
The status of the file is good.
Where in the file adapter configuration I have to select 'Read-only'?
The file adapter is working perfect with the exact name of the file.
    Thanks

  • Can I use WNT UNC for file url crawling

If I set up a Mapped Drive on Windows NT (e.g., E), I can specify and crawl a file URL that has been entered
like file:///E:/folder. The problem is that the Mapped Drive is only available while I am logged onto the PC.
What I need to be able to do is specify a valid UNC in the File URL like
    file:///hostname/folder/subfolder
I tried the above format, but got an error.
Does anyone know if and how to specify File URLs using UNC name ?

File URL crawling does not support UNC in current version.

  • Can I use a simple Excel file on my phone and open it on my PC?

I'm a PE teacher who collects fitness data while outside and then tranfers it to an Excel file on my work PC.  I usually collect by pencil and paper and type it in later.  Is there an app or can I use iCloud to use my iPhone 4 to collect my data and then open it up on Excel?

Just to add to what Winston said, there are a lot of Office-type apps that will do the job better than Numbers in my opinion.  Examples are Documents to Go, Quickoffice, Office2HD but there are others.
Numbers is an OK app if you want to use the files created on iOS devices in Numbers on your Mac, but when it comes to MS Office compatibility, it is defficient.  The apps I mentioned above all do a reasonable job in terms of Excel compatilibility.
In terms of accessing the files on your PC, use a free service like Dropbox to sync your documents on iOS and PCs.
