Can I use my unlocked Blackberry 8700g on AT&T without data charges?

Hi, my phone recently broke so I went on ebay and bought an unlocked Blackberry 8700g.  I previously had no data plan on my old cell phone, just the pay as you go type thing.  If I start using the unlocked Blackberry will AT&T automatically start billing me for a BlackBerry data plan, even if I don't use any data?  I don't need data, the phone is only temporary and I mainly bought it for the QWERTY for texting.
Thanks in advance

I've heard of some carriers sending an SMS that offers service. If you reply in whatever their proscribed manner is, that constitutes activating a contract. But I think it still requires you to respond...I don't think that they can just start giving you service and sending you bills if you've never actively accepted some contractual arrangement. But, one never knows...carriers get more and more creative all the time.

Can i use my unlocked iphone overseas, with a one of their carriers?
If i go study abroad for 3 years, i obviously have to have a phone. Can i use my iphone 5s I bought in america unlocked, and just put their sim-card in
Anyone know you can buy the iphone 6 unlocked?

Apple is not yet selling the unlocked version of 6 or 6 Plus (I verified this today at the Apple store, in person).  Many say that some versions now sold are unlocked, but you pay your money and take your chances.  I prefer to wait.
Oh, and if you are abroad for 3 years, you will have no warranty and no Apple service unless the phone is returned to the US.  Sounds like a good reason (to me) to buy it overseas.  YMMV
This does, of course, depend on what country one is inhabiting.

  • Can I use an unlocked Sprint iPhone 5 (A1429 CDMA) on EE's 4G LTE network?

I want to use my unlocked Sprint iPhone 5 (model# A1429 CDMA) when I travel in the UK. The only 4G LTE carrier is EE.
They recommend you use an unlocked iPhone 5 (model# A1429 GSM), but I don't wish to purchase a new phone for such a short duration.
So can I use a unlocked  iPhone 5 (model# A1429 CDMA) on EE's network or not?

If you purchase the device unlocked, it can be used on any supported GSM carrier around the world.
There are no guarantees with LTE.  It may work on their LTE network, it may not.

  • Can I use an unlocked T-Mobile IPhone5s purchased from apple online with a Turkish carrier in Turkey?

Can I use an unlocked T-Mobile IPhone5s with a Turkish carrier in Turkey? I purchased it in Apple Store online.
Do I need to make a transaction with or contact T-Mobile when I use it with my new turkish carrier in Turkey?

Hmmm, I just called Apple, and they claim that the phones are proprietary to the carrier, and TMobile phones can only be used on TMobile (even though GSM and unlocked), and they (Apple) cannot say if they could be used on AT&T, and suspect they could not.
I'm not sure I believe them (as it says on the website that the TMobile phones can accept an international SIM when traveling), but don't think I can take the chance.  I wonder if I could get one, try it, and return it if it wouldn't work with AT&T?
It affronts me to spend full price to get a locked phone from AT&T!
    Anybody have any more ideas?
    Thanks!

  • I have softbank(japan) SIM card can i use in unlocked iphone 3G?

im now in japan and i have softbank SIM card. And i want to order an unlocked iphone 3G from australia. can i use it?
    thx.

All supported carriers require a data plan with the iPhone.
If your carrier will permit it, you can put a Micro-SIM in the phone that does not have a data plan.  Make sure, however, that you turn off mobile (cellular) data in settings or you're going to potentially rack up some serious charges.  Not to mention tha fact that you are in effect, crippling the phone.
If you're in the US, attempting to use AT&T, they will automatically add a data plan to the account when they detect you are using an iPhone without one.

  • Can I use factory unlocked iphone 5 bought from U.S.A in Mongolia?

Can I use factory unlocked iphone 5 bought from U.S.A in Mongolia?

yes you can if there are GSM carriers in Mongolia.  If your phone breaks, you will need to send it to somone you know in the US to bring it to Apple for repair.

  • Can I use the same iTunes account for 2 iPads without having the same apps on both?

Can I use the same iTunes account for 2 iPads without having the same apps on both? Everytime I try to sync my new iPad, it syncs all the apps that are on my account. If I can do this, can someone tell me how please???

Yes you can, easily.  When you plug the first pad in to sync, note the name of the pad on the last pane.  Set up for that device whatever you want to sync.  When you are done, plug the second pad in.  Make sure it has a different name on the left pane.   Then sync to that pad whatever you want.  I tunes will remember what you did on each pad, and will start from there the next time you plug in.

  • Can I use an radar alarm on my iphone 4, without passing by the telephone card, for example in plane mode?

Can I use an radar alarm on my iphone 4, without passing by the telephone card, for example in plane mode? This question in order to avoid the roaming when I leave my country for a foreigner one

Hi there Eartley! That sounds like an amazing opportunity for you! I am glad you are going to be able to study in Italy. The iPhone 6 is an excellent phone to travel with and you should have no problems using a local SIM card while you are in Italy. While I have not been to Italy myself and can not make recommendations for service providers out there, our Global Support Team may be able to help out! Here is where you can get in touch with them http://vz.to/1DgQ1IJ . Have a great trip!

  • Can I use SYSDATE in the WHERE clause to limit the date range of a query

    Hi,
Basicaly the subject title(Can I use SYSDATE in the WHERE clause to limit the date range of a query) is my question.
Is this possible and if it is how can I use it. Do I need to join the table to DUAL?
    Thanks in advance.
    Stelios

As previous poster said, no data is null value, no value. If you want something, you have nvl function to replace null value by an other more significative value in your query.<br>

  • If I buy a MacBook Air in America, can I use it over here in the U.K. without any software problems?

If I buy a MacBook Air in America, can I use it over here in the U.K. without any software problems?

It is true that they are not region free with DVD's even though they let you switch the region 3 or 4 times and then it locks on the last region you choose forever.
Software is a different story, I myself own a MacBook Pro from Europe but I install software I buy from the US.
I have friends that own Macs from the US and they live in Europe and they don't have any problems.
I have a friend from New Zealand with a MacBook and when he comes over in Europe he has installed European software.
So you see, I think a software region problem if you ever have any should be extremely rare.

  • Can I use iSync between Address B and my mobile without .Mac?

Can I use iSync between Address B and my mobile without .Mac?

Yes, if you have an iSync supported phone.
    For 10.4+ see here:
    http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/isync/devices.html
plus all the models supported by Phone Plugins from here and here.
However, for your 10.3.9 Mac, your choices are severely limited:

  • Can I use iPhone apps. On my new iPad without buying them again?

Can I use iPhone apps. On my new iPad without buying them again?

Yes you can (unless they are apps that require the iPhone's full phone capability - I have some apps on my iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch
If they are designed just for the iPhone/iPod Touch then they will just take up that sized portion of the screen. There will be a '2x' button on the screen, but that effectively just doubles the size of each pixel in both directions, so it may then appear pixelated.

  • Can I use the unlocked 3GS without a SIM card?

I am one of the few (I guess) who refuse to pay for a data plan, but still want a capable iOS device that fits in my pocket. With no updates and aging specs, the iPod touch is not the option I hoped it would be.
So, what I'm wondering, is if I buy the 3GS Unlocked from the Apple store for $375, can I use it as an iPhone without the phone if I don't put a SIM card in it? Yes, I understand it will not function as a phone.
I basically want an iPod toch with GPS, a better camera, and a better processor... will the 3GS Unlocked be able to function in that capacity if I never activate it on any network, or does it require a SIM card to even "turn on"?

The current iPod Touch is basically an iPhone 4 without the phone feature, see here: http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/ipod/specs/ipod-touch-4th-gen-4g-facetime- specs.html.
If if you would go for an iPhone 3GS, it would not be more powerful than the current iPod Touch.
