Can I use OIM as a basic EAI tool ?

Hello,
I am in OIM product evaluation phase. I have a very basic question.
OIM is an User Provisioning tool. However, can I also provision other LDAP objects. To clarify further, say I have a custom object called "Entitlement" which stores entitlement definition for our organization. This is an independent object and is not directly tied to User (inetOrgPerson) . Can I provision these entitlement data to another RDBMS thru OIM ?
In other words can I use OIM as a basic EAI (Enterprise App Integration) tools for syncing any data from LDAP to a RDMS ?

Yes , you can very well use OIM to sync data between LDAP and RDBMS . OIM comes with lot of OOTB connector which connects to diff targets.
LDAP and RDBMS happened to one of those , so you can easily pull the data from ldap and push to RDBMS or anywhere else

I can't find a document that describes all the available algorithms supported by WebLogic/OSB and haven't seen this one mentioned anywhere. Is there a way to access all the items in the tools section without seeing all the options? That is to say can one use keyboard for functions? My tools menu doesn't scroll down, only goes from left to right for one page and no more options.

I can't seem to view web pages. I noticed when I clicked on the tools menu I don't get the usual drop down menu of choices. I get a horizontal listing of options with a white background. I suspect the issue may be somewhere in some settings of my tool bar or the way the system displays web pages.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes). 
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]] 
 
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears. 
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions. 
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

Can you use the Grid with the Straighten Tool in the HUD?

A grid appears when using the mouse to straighten an image but not when using the more accurate sliders in the HUD! Doesn't make sense. Is it possible to turn the grid on when using the HUD?

Hi Allan. Can you confirm that you cannot get 0.1º changes by clicking the slider arrows (on each side of the number to the right of the slider) while pressing {Option}?
I'm getting at least that level of precision. I say "at least" because sometimes I will get a change in the image with no change in the number. I assume that the change is measurable, but is rounded and therefore not shown in the control which shows only tenths.
On my machine there is no difference in precision between the slider with modifier keys and the on-image adjustment.

We have deployed a new test server in our project.
We would like to give a separate user ID and password for EAIObjMgr_enu component while send HTTP request.
We have created a new user in Admin - User screen and created user in DB granting SSE_ROLE.
But when I use the same user in HTTP request URL for one of the Query operation, it is not returning the record, though it is available.
The Query is working fine while using SADMIN user.It is returning the record in response XML.
When I login to the application with the new user, in "My Contacts" I could not see any records, because no record is created by the new user.
I think the EAI Query also not returning any record because no records are created by this user ID.
How can I use the new User in EAI to work like SADMIN user.

Hi,
Yes you can use different user other than SADMIN. We have setup different user in our Organization due to SOX Compliance.
Basically for EAI, the position of the user matters more than the responsibility.
EAI User needs data visibility, due to which SADMIN is used which is having Siebel Administrator Position.
Just setup a position similar to Siebel Administrator or assign the Siebel Administrator position to your newly created User & then use it for EAI.

Hi All
First can we use OIM API from a PC where OIM Server/Design console is not installed?If so, how?
I have server running in a different PC in the same network.How do I connect from my PC to use OIM API.

It shouldn't matter whether you are invoking OIM APIs from standalone Java app or WebApp as long as you are able to create an instance of tcUtilityFactory. Once obtained the process remains same.
But if you are invoking APIs from JSP that is custom built but within same xlWebApp, then it gets trivial.

Strangely, there isn't and end user license on Apple's site regarding iOS. But here's a look at the font agreement section from OS X Mountain Lion:
E. Fonts. Subject to the terms and conditions of this License, you may use the fonts included with the Apple Software to display and print content while running the Apple Software; however, you may only embed fonts in content if that is permitted by the embedding restrictions accompanying the font in question. These embedding restrictions can be found in the Font Book/Preview/Show Font Info panel.
So basically, you need to examine the fonts to see if there are notes on usage restrictions or limitations.

Why can't I use the Basic brush tool?

I'm learning the ropes of drawing in Illustrator and I've fallen at the first hurdle. Why can't I use the Basic brush tool? Whenever I select the brush tool and use the 'Basic' brush type, the cursor turns into a hashed circle indicating I can't draw. If I load other brushes, I can draw with other brush types, but I can't use the Basic one. If I select the Basic brush when I have other brushes loaded and try to draw with it, it always defaults to a different brush! I don't understand why.
On a related matter, I'm also having trouble changing brush size. I know that using the [ and ] keys changes brush size, but I have no idea what the values are. If I try this in Photoshop, I can see the brush size in the Options bar, but in Illustrator it doesn't appear anywhere! Not in the Brushes palette, the Stroke palette or the Appearance palette. Where can I see the brush size?

The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

You can automate Acrobat using IAC (InterApplication Communications), as documented in the Acrobat SDK. Your program could loop through a collection of PDFs, load them in Acrobat, extract the form data from each, and generate a CSV file that contains the data.
Acrobat can also do this with its "Merge Data Files into Spreadsheet" function, but this is a manual process.

The 3rd Generation iPad and iPhone 4s both have an Audience chipset for noise suppression/voice recognition that the iPad 2 et. al. do not have. The iPhone 5, 5th Generation iPod Touch, 4th Generation iPad and iPad Mini are using a different type of hardware based noise suppression/voice recognition that is an improvement over the Audience chipset (hope you didn't have Audience stock).

Sometimes they do work - i've done it before. I have a late 2008 Macbook Uni and used the install dvd of my 2009 Macbook White and it worked.
Why not just clone your hard drive? It'll save you a lot of time doing a clone rather than doing a clean install.
Unless you're having issues with your old set up or your old hard drive is dead.
You can download Carbon Copy Cloner - install your new hard drive in a external usb enclosure (around $10) and clone fromt here then test it before you install it in your Macbook.
Once you've done the swap, you can install your old hard drive in the USB enclosure and use it as a backup drive.

If you're referring to the iCloud.com website for you account there are no photos there. Photop Stream is only for syncing photos between iOS devices and Macs.

How can I o create, modify or delete users using OIM 11g web services?

Hi,
I have a requirement to create, modify or delete users using OIM 11g web services.
The end users will be signing on to the online application, a user interface to request ids online. The user interface is the home grown application to request ids.
I want to integrate this user interface with OIM 11g. I generated the java classes using the out of the box wsdl file as mentioned in the Developer’s Guide for Oracle Identity Manager 11g. But I need to know how to create users using web server client from a given wsdl file? Is there a sample web service client program to create a user in OIM?
If you know of any document which I can follow or if you can give any details I really appreciate.

Were you able to figure out the approach? I am facing the same issue like this. I have created a web service where the input values are no. of days to extend user's end date and user's employee ID. Output will be true or false. But I am getting error while searching user in OIM DB. I think my web service is not to query OIM DB
