  • HT4436 Can I use one iCloud account for multiple apple ID's - ie, all of those that are part of our family sharing?

There are five members of my family and we each have multiple devices, it seems.  I want to know if we can set up one iCloud account where we can store all of our iTunes downloads (movies, TVshows, & music) from more than one account.

Purchases may not be transferred from one account to another.

  • 2 user accounts using 1 iCloud drive account, different folders and files for each user.

I have two user accounts on my Mac. One for work and one for personal use.
They both share my iCloud and iCloud drive account. My issue is that when I update the files in my work account the changes do not take place when I log into my personal account on my mac.. I find this strange seeing as I am only using one account for both.
This means when I am working and make folders or rename files and folders they only appear when I view iCloud Drive from that user profile. When I try to view iCloud drive from my personal user account or other iOS devices like my phone the old changes remain.
Has anyone any ideas why this is?

Because iCloud drive is not shared between users.  Each account has it's own storage.  It is NOT shared.

  • Had to reinstall operating system and now I can' t use my iCloud drive because it says my user id is already using the drive!

I had to reinstall the operating system on my computer and now I can't access my iCloud drive.  It says the user id is already using it.  Help!

Yeah I have the original CDs. And I have backed up some stuff. But shouldn't things like safari and itunes be working anyway? The applications are there, they just won't open. Someone told me would lose my preferences and just had to update them again, but I can't do so cause safari doesn't work and internet explorer won't let me get on certain sites...

  • Can i use two icloud email accounts in outlook2007

My wife an I both have icloud email addresses which we would like to be able to send/ receive in Outlook 2007 (as well as on our iPhones).
I have been using my own icloud email on Outlook 2007 without any problem but since she got her own iPhone and icloud account/ email address I have been unable to find a way to add hers to Outlook. Is this not possible or can somebocy tell me how to do it please?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Absolutely. Although you can only have one primary iCloud account, you'll need to add secondary accounts from system preferences > mail, contacts & calendars.

  • Can I use one Apple ID/account on multiple devices?

My 2 kids have an iPod Touch 4th generation. I used my (parent) Apple ID to set one up. Can I use the same apple ID/account on the second iPod? Or do I have to create a new ID? The kids are not old enough to create their own Apple IDs.

You can have a maximum of ten devices associated with one Apple ID

  • Can I use one hard drive for two computers?  Newbie here.

    Newbie here.
I currently use Time Machine for my iMac (Intel)
I've been using my Macbook Pro (Intel) a lot lately and would like to back it up from time to time as well.
Can I simply attach the external hard drive to my Macbook Pro and set up Time Machine?
Can use the external hard drive for both machines?
Will Time Machine recognized that my Macbook Pro is a separate computer and set up a separate folder on the external hard drive automatically?
    Thanks

    Hi,
you can use the drive for as many Macs as you like, just make sure it's big enough. Time Machine will create separate folders for your Macs and will "know" which one you're using.

  • Can I use One Hard Drive for 2x Time Machine Back Ups and another partition for all my data?

    Hi Forum,
I am planning to but a RAID disc set up, but if i get a 2 disc set up, on one disc, can i have:
Time Machine back up for one Mac
Time Machine back up for 2nd Mac
Anothe partition for all my data.
then have that RAID'd to second disc?

    no one?
and if this set up was on one disc, and one partition for one TM was for the Mini that has this drive attached, would TM back up this whole drive 2x TM Partitions and 1x partitions with data on, ok? it wouldn't get confused by trying to back itself up

It is not possible to create a new iCloud account using a Windows machine. You must create the account using a Mac (10.7.5 or more) or an IOS device (iPhone etc). Once that is done you can sign into and use the account on your Windows machine.

  • How can i use another icloud account in my iphone? can i pay one?? where?

how can i use another icloud account in my iphone? can i pay one?? where?
My phone has reached the maximum number of free accounts activated where can I buy one to use?

You can't buy another one.  You have to reuse one of the accounts previously set up on your phone, or create a new one to use on another iOS device (running iOS 5 or higher) or Mac (running OS X 10.7.2 or higher), if you have one.
