Can I use one wireless mouse and keyboard for a MB and a pc?

Hi,
I am planning to buy a lcd display which basically has both dvi and vga ports. So, I thought I will plug my pc into the vga and my MB into the DVI and use the same display for both machines. I just need to switch between the source through the display menu in order to switch. Now the problem is I can't seem to fiigure out how to use a single wireless KB and a mouse to run in both systems.
Anyone has any idea?

I can see the appeal of your desired setup, but is the limitation the inability to "Pair" the mouse/keyboard to more than one computer at a time? (Practically, that makes sense, you don't want to be blindly moving both cursors around at the same time, since you can only see one screen at a time)
You CAN operate bluetooth devices on Windows without pairing-you just need to locate the device each time before using:

So maybe you can pair the Mac version, and just search out the device each time you switch over? (but then you would have to "unpair" it off the Mac too) Maybe you need to write two scripts for each platform: pair/unpair devices.
Sounds like it would be easier to buy two wireless keyboards and mice :P

Any data stored on the disk that Time Machine is backing up to can not be backed up.
Plus the data outside of the Time Machine backup database cause problems when Time Machine starts cleaned up old backups to recover space for new backups.
For these reason it is advised that the Time Capsule disk be used for one or the other but not both.

Bind the checkbox to a UIInput myChk property. Then you can reference this property from the page, e.g.

My main computer broke, and I want to know if I can still purchase and download songs to my apple devices using one of my five authorize computers? It is my wife's computer and she also uses itunes. Can I log her off and use my log-in?

Thanks for your reply, Niel. Basically, I can log in into my wife's computer, log in and download new music I purchased or from a CD into my ipad/iphone/ipod with out a problem since is one of my 5 authorize computers? Sorry for being so inquisitive but I'm not the best when it comes to itunes.

I want to use iMessage from my ipad with my phone number not with my e-mail because most of my friends have not my e-mail under my name in their phones.
So what I want to is being able to talk in the same chat from my ipad and iphone with out showing my e-mail to the person who I'm talking with because that making the chat appears one to me but two to him.

On I pad it only work with E mails because the I Pad is not associated with your cell phone number.

I need a clarification : Can I use EJBs instead of helper classes for better performance and less network traffic?

My application was designed based on MVC Architecture. But I made some changes to HMV base on my requirements. Servlet invoke helper classes, helper class uses EJBs to communicate with the database. Jsps also uses EJBs to backtrack the results.
I have two EJBs(Stateless), one Servlet, nearly 70 helperclasses, and nearly 800 jsps. Servlet acts as Controler and all database transactions done through EJBs only. Helper classes are having business logic. Based on the request relevant helper classed is invoked by the Servlet, and all database transactions are done through EJBs. Session scope is 'Page' only.
Now I am planning to use EJBs(for business logic) instead on Helper Classes. But before going to do that I need some clarification regarding Network traffic and for better usage of Container resources.
Please suggest me which method (is Helper classes or Using EJBs) is perferable
1) to get better performance and.
2) for less network traffic
3) for better container resource utilization
I thought if I use EJBs, then the network traffic will increase. Because every time it make a remote call to EJBs.
Please give detailed explanation.

1) to get better performance
EJB's have quite a lot of overhead associated with them to support transactions and remoteability. A non-EJB helper class will almost always outperform an EJB. Often considerably. If you plan on making your 70 helper classes EJB's you should expect to see a dramatic decrease in maximum throughput.
2) for less network traffic
There should be no difference. Both architectures will probably make the exact same JDBC calls from the RDBMS's perspective. And since the EJB's and JSP's are co-located there won't be any other additional overhead there either. (You are co-locating your JSP's and EJB's, aren't you?)
3) for better container resource utilization
Again, the EJB version will consume a lot more container resources.

Adobe has long permitted a single purchase of products like CS6 to be installed on two machines (PC desktop plus PC notebook) for use by the same user at different times.
1. Is that still permitted with a CC subscription?
2. What if the desktop is a PC but the PC notebook gets replaced with a Mac? Will the user with one subscription be able to install and use CC on both machines?

Can you use one iMac with two iphones for updates and itunes? It erased my husband's apps on his phone when I tried to sync.

I am sure there is a way to sync both my iphone and my husband's iphone on our one iMac...when I connected my husband's for the first time it recognized it as a different phone, but would let me save his apps to itunes like it saved mine earlier... can we have both of our iphone's info on our one itunes account?

When you connected his iphone did you click File>Transfer Purchases?
This would transfer any ituens purchases from iphone to computer.
You can sync as many iphones as you like to one computer/account/library.

I have a 640GB external hard drive that I have been using for over a year for time machine backups. My mac hard drive is now starting to fill up and I am looking to move audio, video and picture files to my external hard drive. How do I do this without messing up my time machine backups? Can I do both on the same external hard drive? Do I just make new folders on the external hard drive to move the files I want? Thanks for the help.

If you move the files you will need to get another disk to back the files up to. You don't want to have only one copy of certain files (personal, professional etc.).

I'm confused what you mean by "control them simultaneously." That sounds like a fox in a hen house... So I'll assume you mean use them alternately.
I've participated in several threads here in the past with folks who had similar questions about using wireless devices in ~this manner. In one case, someone was having problems bringing her Bluetooth mouse and keyboard back-and-forth between work and home. I can't recall anyone who'd succeeded in working this out satisfactorily.
Two KnowledgeBase Articles address this ~indirectly:
Bluetooth: How to Delete a Paired Device says: "
"Note: Some Bluetooth devices (such as keyboards and mice) are designed to be paired and used with one computer at a time. If you pair your keyboard or mouse with another computer, delete the pairing with the original computer first. This will ensure that the device only attempts to operate with the intended computer."
As far as I can tell, this doesn't literally say you can't do it — just that there are two additional steps during each transition back and forth.
Using an Apple Wireless Keyboard and Mouse (Bluetooth 1.5 Help) says,
" If you are setting up more than one keyboard and mouse, pair one keyboard and one mouse with a single computer. Don't use one computer to set up more than one keyboard and mouse."
Imo, it seems like a lot more trouble than it's worth — particularly given that Apple's BT keyboard and mouse aren't too expensive.
For "wired" devices, this configuration is accomplished using a KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) switch. I'm not very familiar with the details of these setups, but you may benefit from visiting MacInTouch's reader reports web are about Keyboard/Monitor Switches and Adapters, if you're interested.
