i would read some info on lion and go to apple store and use lion becasue from what i have seen, used and heard its horrible. i HATE LION! horrible job, snow leopard is the best OS.. there is no more expose or spaces its all mashed into one.. launch pad is frekkin stupid, be warned dont add a folder to launch pad it takes all the content out of the folder and dumps it there.. its a waste of time you can click an icon on ur desktop versus click launch pad, make a bunch of moves to find what you want then click it.. we have mice and we are not on a touch screen.. this is stupid! i LOVE apple bus tthis is just a step backwards..

OK, so the calls on my Android phone usually go pretty well until I try to open another app. So, here's my question. Is there a way to open apps while a call is going on? I know it's possible because my friend did it.

erjubama10, my wife just recently started complaining about a similar problem with her Unibody Macbook. She states that when she's plugged into the power adapter that the network is extremely slow.
I just have not got a chance to get the Macbook from her long enough to try to isolate the problem. If an when I do I'll post my finding. Until then I fully expect you to figure it out for me, LOL!

I can't use Adobe Flash (vers. 8) anymore because it's a PowerPC applicaiton, and I can't log onto the World Community Grid anymore and, when I tried to reinstall the software, I was told that it "can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer" and that I need to alter my security preferences. I wasn't able to find anything in System Preferences that could help me. Also Spaces has disappeared, and that was an incredibly useful tool for me. Anybody know what I can do? Should I just uninstall Mountian Lion?

Captfred is pointing out a very good thing, which is the middle tier option of allowing only app store and signed developers. This is a pretty good tool and put there for the ease of security.
Although I have experienced some apple software that doesn't have a signed security clearance either

I had a sneaky suspicion you were referring to Flash.app and not just the player. You will also have to get it on there. They offer a 30 day trial period, and with CS6 things are a lot faster and a lot smoother!
I highly recommend anyone to upgrade to the latest line if they are coming from an older version. Things are where you expect them to be and improvements have been made to the way it processes and loads!

Can you use GPS app while talking on the phone at the same time?

Hi I'm just curious because I will be getting a iPhone 4 in May and I wanted to know if it's possible to be in a phone call while also using an GPS app?
Does the GPS app use the data connection or the GPS signal or satellites?

Thanks and I also did some research and found out that with GPS active, if you load your route/directions prior to making a phone call the route will be cached and navigation still works. The GPS will tell you where you are along the route.
But if you're on the phone and then try to load a map or navigation it will not load your route until it can download the map, meaning you will need to wait until you get off the phone call to download the info.
So if you know you will need to use navigation, turn on your GPS, load your map/route to start navigation, then make your phone call. Makes sense to me now and if anyone needs to know here is the solution right here.

you can try a soft reset, or u can try to turn it off and then back on. Or take it to the apple store and see what they say about it. Hope this helps

If the apps use sound - such as game apps, you will not be able to play Music while using this apps. If you are working in a Word Processing app or some other app that doesn't involve using sounds, you should be able to play music - using the iPad Music App.

My iPhone 5 wouldn't start after I turned it off a few minutes after writing this. It went into recovery mode and I had no choice but to connect to iTunes on PC and restore.
I restored to factory setting first, just to validate my phone was okay. For a second consecutive iOS update, the iPhone 5 did not update smoothly while connected to PC and iTunes - I had to retry two times before the progress bar for the update showed. (The exact same problem with the restart occured when I updated to 7.0.4.)
The good news is that I was ultimately able to restore the iPhone 5 to factory settings while running iOS 7.0.6. I did have a backup from about a month ago lying around and was able to successfully restore with that as well, so the damage done is almost negligible since I had my contacts, notes, mail, etc. backed up to iCloud.
Once I completed both restores, the sync with iTunes worked fine.

I suspect you are probably correct about the reasoning, although there are already a myriad of ways to do that.
Don't get me wrong - I never said I like this. But it is consistent with other Apple applications, that are similar restrictive; you cannot take a screenshot, when dvd-player is running for example.
