Can i use PCI-1411 to trigger NI 5112 to capture YUV vdieo wave of DVD sync?

I have a PCI-1411 ,i can use this card to trigger NI5112 to capture a line signal of CVBS output of DVD. And i can see in the graph just a line's wave. But it seems that PCI-1411 cannot trigger the YUV output.The wave display still moves quickly,not just a line signal. Can i use PCI-1411 to trigger NI5112 to capture YUV output sync?

There is no ready-to-run solution for this. Of course you could switch all motor signals with external relays or with a switch matrix to the two sets of axis-signals that are available on the PCI-7352 but I wouldn't recommend doing this as this would be way more expensive and complicated than purchasing a PCI-7354 or a PCI-7356 that support for 4 and 6 axes respectively.

I would like to use PCI 6115 data acquisition card from National Instruments for both generating a signal and then configure it for receiving the generated signal. I am using MATLAB program.I ran a program and it shows no error. But the results are not what I expected. Any help will be appreciated

The PCI-6115 can receive and generate signals. It can actually do both at the same time. However, this depends on how it is programmed. Since you are using MATLAB, I do not know what I can do to help. Are you making calls to NIDAQ32.dll?

What you are trying to do is not something you can easily do in a forum, but I can give you the basics.
You have a CameraLink frame Grabber (PCIe 1433) and a LineScan Camera
The framegrabber needs to be configured to understand how to communicate with the camera. You need a file from the camera vendor. This file might already be installed. You can use MAX to check if it is, under Devices/IMAQ.
Assuming you can get to the point where you can communicate with the camera, you need to configure your acquisition.
Since the camera is a line scan camera, it captures image data one pixel ine at a time. You will need to configure the frame grabber to determine how many lines per image you want. The low limit is usually 1, and the high limit is either based on the framegrabber's internal memory, or that of the computer.
If you are using labview, you will need to open a sessing to the camera, acquire the image(s), and then close the session when you are done.
Once the image(s) are captured, you can performa analysis using the NI Vision Toolkit.

Can I use iMovie to edit and enhance both video and audio of my homemade DVDs?

I have a lot of homemade DVDs converted from old VHS tapes. The video and audio quality need to be edited/enhanced. Can I use my iMovie 11 for this task? If not what are my options? Thanks.

There are several layers to this Q
• VHS-tapes has a low quiality as is
• converted to sort of .mpe2 to a DVD to be played on standard DVD-player - Quality is futher lost
• converting it back to DV or AIC - and more quality is lost
• edit it in iMovie'08 to 11 - even more quality is lost due to that when going from Event's to Project's - every second line building up the picture is discarded (as non of them - iM'08 to 11 - works woith interlaced SD-video
So if quality is of any interest - I would - and are doing
• Converting from VHS-tapes
- via a CANOPUS ADVC-300 - to digital
- in via FireWire to
- to iMovie HD6 or FinalCut (any version) - asa they all keep 100% of the interlaced SD-quality
- edit and put out on miniDV tape (still 100% preserved) or to a DVD made in iDVD with all that keep as high quality possibly. (No Video-DVD can keep 100% quality - it's due to standard and amount of compressing)
If Quality is of no importance - then
• DVDs needs to be converted to DV or AIC and this is no free standard on any Mac - You need a converting program as
- MPEG StreamClip (free on internet) + BUT it needs the .mpeg2 Component from Apple to work ($20)
- Roxio Toast™ - can also be used to back engineer - BUT this cost's much more - still to me all extras was more than worth it
- Analog way - DVD-player - A/D-box - import via FireWire

Can I use my new Palm desktop software (Centro) to backup my old Treo 700p before syncing the Centro?

My computer crashed shortly before I upgraded to a new Centro. I need to backup the data on my 700p so I can transfer it to the Centro. Do I need to install the old Palm desktop first, or can I use the Centro software to back up the 700p?

The Sprint version of the Centro still ships with Palm Desktop 4.2, which should be the same as you were previously using with your 700p.
My understanding is that only the AT&T and Verizon versions of the Centro (and probably the new Unlocked Centro) ship with the new Desktop 6.2 by Access.
As for the bonus applications, I have the AT&T Centro and all of the bonus apps were actually accessed via online download directly to the phone. And if I remember correctly, Documents To Go v.10 including the desktop application, was also done via download rather than being installed on the disc. Required entering the correct registration/activation codes. I guess they've gotten away from including this software directly on the installation disc.

Can i use PCIe X-Fi in PCIe x16 sl

I'm wondering if i could fit a PCIe x X-Fi soundcard into PCIe x6 slot?
The PCI slot on my ASUS P5Q Deluxe board is in rather crappy place and i was thinking of getting PCIe version of X-Fi and place it all the way below in a PCIe x6 slot. Is that posible or does it strictly have to be a x slot (which is also physically smaller).

It was said somewhere that it can work in both type of slots however some motherboards reserve the x6 slots for video cards only.
I have ASUS Maximus Extreme motherboard and my Titanium works in the x slot and the x6 slot both.

In a perfect world, either an image click or a form submit would run the procedure. The parameter (@username) is currently sent to the page as a URL Querystring of the same name.
I'm sure it's something obvious, but I'm new.

I'm not sure what your question is. Is this currently failing? Or are you not able to figure out how to send the username to the script page? You really just need to create a form and pass the value in a form field.

Never use a querystring to update data. It is too dangerous. Use the post method instead.

Can I use ION VIDEO 2 PC on my iMac? .....OR what can my friend use instead?
My friend has an iMac, she used to have Tiger 10.4, then upgraded to I think the Leopard, Snow Leopard, or even to Lion...she doesn't even know. The one thing that I think gave it a way was the PC part of Video 2 PC.....Apples are NOT PC's...right? An apple is an Apple, and a PC is everything else?
My friend bought this ION VIDEO 2 PC, but she has an APPLE iMac, not a reg. PC.
Not sure what Apple O.S. she has. She did have Tiger 10.4 OS, but may have upgraded to LION or at least Snow Leopard 10.6... ???
My Main question is this.....Can she use this ION VIDEO 2 PC device to capture video from either her HD Camcorder or analog camcorder? I don't know if she has iMovie or iDvd, then use the ION device to capture, then use her apple software to maybe edit/burn DVD's.

She doesn’t know much about computers, not Apples nor PC’s. She doesn’t even know if she has the iMovie or iDVD installed on her iMac. I’m just trying to help her capturing video from both her Analog or digital camcorders, then burning to DVD.
