Can I use pencil or stylus on z3?

can I draw on z3 using normal pencil or stylus? I heard on Xpedia z it supprt..tell me plzz

The Xperia Z Ultra does but the Z3 does not as the type of screen used is different - However you can use as far as I'm aware a stylus that has a metal type tip

You CAN use a stylus but it won't make much of a difference, the Touchsmart desktop line does not use pressure on the screen to see "touch" it uses an infrared emitter matrix that actually senses your finger/pen/stylus/soda straw at 1/8" above the actual glass surface.

    Hi Everybody,
I use an Epson Stylus Office BX320FW printer with my IMac.  Since upgrading OSX, I have lost the ability to print and scan.  I have downloaded printer drivers from both Epson and Apple.  I am using the printer in wifi mode but can not get it print or scan.  How do I uninstall the Epson software and start all over again?

Not using any mouse pad, I have a very smooth desktop. But I just tried to use a sheet of A4 printing paper, but no result, the problem persisted.
Someone on this forum suggested, that USB3 may interfere with the magic mouse.
I have 2 LaCie HDD's about 70 cm away from the mouse, I use them on Thunderbolt. But in operation or not - the result is the same, the mouse plays up! Just now I was clicking the desktop and the mouse created a new folder!!
    Thanks for the advice, Bee

  • Can I use a stylus on an iPad.?.

Can I use a stylus with an iPad.

Yes, I use one all of the time. But the stylus for the iOS devices is not the trim little fine point that other devices use. Some find it a bit clunky unless you buy one of the more expensive ones.

Hi HawkeyeD1977, thank you for watching!
    1) I don't think you can really scratch the screen with the Jot Script. I don't have a screen protector, but I have reasons to think it will still work if you have one (I tried the Scrip through a think sheet of plastic, and I still works: more on that in my next video).
    2) It's true that the Script is noisy, but as I often say: have you ever tried to focus on the background noise of, say, a classroom? It is very noisy too! I'm always surprised by how good our brain is to filter background noises. So really, it depends on your environment and on the ability of your brain to filter noise. For me, I'd rather use a stylus that is a little noisy but very precise. It also depends on how you write text: as you can see on my video, I don't lift my pen very often, I write big groups of letters together.
    3) You should watch my latest video about that: I talk about Memo and Notes Plus. Memo has a handwriting technology that you can test for free, and buy as an in-app purchase inside Notes Plus, to use in a realy note-taking app. In Notes Plus, you can indeed convert just selected areas containing text.
    4) It won't have a text convertor, not in the next update. Maybe latter!
If you want more information about the Jot Script, stay tuned: by the end of the week, I will have uploaded a video to talk about the Scrip with more hindsight after one month.

  • Can I use a stylus to write on an iPad

I am a mathematics teacher in a school. Currently, I use my digital pad which is connected to my laptop, to deliver my lesson, then I email my students the lesson written down on the computer, in pdf file format.
Can I use a stylus to write on the iPad, for the same function?
Please help. This is very important for me.
    Thank you

I tried a lot of freebie programs, I was mainly interesting in finding one that would let me draw and type in the same app and page. I finally settled on Penultimate. Currently it is $2.99. Now, if you wanted to purely write and not mix in typing text, then your choice of option is a lot larger.
For a stylus I bought the Silver Pogo Sketch from Ten One Design for $14.95, add in $4.99 for 4-7 business day First Class Shipping, which seems a tad much. But I have been happy with it. They sell a few other stylii as well.
You can use your fingers to write, things just seem more natural and more exact using a stylus than my fatter fingertips.

  • Can you use a soft tip stylus type pen on an IdeaTab A1107 Tablet screen?

I recently purchased an IdeaTab A1107 Tablet, which I believe is the same as the IdeaTab A1, just with the Android 4.0 OS.  My wife is having trouble always hitting the correct buttons on the screen (7" screen).  Can you use a soft tip stylus type pen or other stylus on an IdeaTab A1107 Tablet screen?  Would that be easier than tapping the screen with your finger?
    Thank You ........
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

You can use a stylus that's sold as being designed to work with "capacitive screens" - not just any stylus will do.
You can also use any conductive object as a stylus on the A1 screen, as long as your skin is touching the part of the object that is conductive.

    Try using Applications/Image Capture.

  • Can I use a stylus on my iPad without damaging the screen?

I downloaded app Penultimate and would like to use a stylus to make notes.  (I found an old one from my Palm phone.). Will this damage the screen?

You can't use the ones from your old Palm device, but there are a variety of capacitive styla available for use with iPads (and other things with capacitive touch displays). Personally, I like the BoxWave, though it's a little on the short side -- the nib is great, though. The Acase ones aren't bad either. There's a company called CCM that makes some very inexpensive ones that are very similar to the BoxWave ones -- but they come in a 3 pack and you don't get nearly as upset with yourself when you lose one.

  • Type of stylus for iPad2 -- can I use one from a Treo

I have some old styluses from an old smart phone (Treo?) and wanted to know the specs for one to use for an iPad2.  i.e., can I use that old soft-tipped stylus for my iPad2?  How do I know which ones are "safe"?
    Thank you,
    Ron

The Treo used a different type of touch screen. The stylus won't work on the iPad. There are lots of different brands out there. Just search Amazon for iPad Stylus. It's important to note that any stylus that works with the iPad's capacitive touch screen will have a fairly wide, soft tip.

  • I have the original iPad can I use a stylus pen to write in notes?

I have the original iPad can I use a stylus pen to write in notes?

One thing to be aware of is that capacitive stylii have a rather broad tip. This makes them feel more like writing with a marker than a pen. (though the width of the line is controlled by the software.)

  • Can I use a stylus pen on my iPad?

Can I use a stylus pen on my iPad?

Yes, as long as it is designed to work with iPad/iPhone/iPod.
It has to be stylus with a broader and soft tip that mimics a finger. Some are available quite inexpensively.
(as opposed to the thin hard pointy styluses we all used with older touch screens in various devices that didn't respond to the touch of a finger)
