Can i use same NW 2004s DVD for windows and AIX

I have NW2004s Installation DVDs which i use to install in Windows Server
Can i use the same dvds to use in IBM AIX Machine

Hi Balaji,
I feel , SAP supplies the Software keeping in mind the the Customer Order and the OS/DB  and you may not use the DVDs of Windows to install on AIX as the material Nos of the CDs/DVDs are different e.g.
Kernel DVD                    51032891_1(AIX)    51032893_13(64 Bit WIn)
also watch out for 32 bit/64 bit.
Hope this is useful.

  • Can i use same iPod classic with both windows and apple machines

can i download audible books, music and podcasts from windows and apple machines on the same ipod classic?
    thank you    joanlvh

Yes you can. You will have to authorize both machines for your iTunes account, and you will only be able to sync what is on the individual computers to your iPod, but switching between Mac and PC isn't an issue.

  • My trial ended for Photoshop Elements and I followed the prompts and bought the software. Now I can't use it because it is for Windows and I have a Mac. How can I switch?

I cannot run the software I just bought because it is for Windows. How can I switch it so it will run on my Mac?

How can i use 2 different apple ids for imessage and facetime on 1 ipad?

Do you mean can you use one Apple ID for FaceTime and one for iMessage? You should be able to. Or, do you mean, can you log into iMessage (or FaceTime) with two Apple IDs at once? No.

  • Can I use one Business Partner repository for Vendor and Customer?

Can I use one Business Partner repository for Vendor and Customer? or do we have to use Vendor and Customer Repository separately. How can we do that? What are the pros and cons? can any one provide some examples:

    Hi Deepak
The key purpose of SAP "enabling" the facility of multiple main tables in a repository is to primarily "manage" those master data objects that are related to each other. Typical examples will be a) Customer - Material, b) Supplier - Material, etc.
While, it is pretty easy to add multiple main tables in a repository, it is also important to understand the purpose of doing so based on the business requirements.
Besides, you got to be aware that in case you are "fixing" any issues with one main table (master data object) for which you have to unload the repository, the users will not be able to use the repository that has a main table defined for other master data object. Hence, there are pros and cons of using this capability of multiple main tables.
So, it is really important to understand the "W's" - What, Why, When, Where, Who of Data modeling before actually working on the "H" - How to in the SAP MDM tool.
    Hope this helps.

  • Can I use Acrobat 8.1 Pro for Windows 8?

Can I use Acrobat 8.1 Pro for Windows 8?

Generally I agree, but there is a chance it will work. If you are talking about a 64-bit system, the likelihood of problems is substantially higher. The simplest way to find out is try it (assuming you have already purchased Win8 system. You will likely have to update to at least 8.1 to have it work. However, Adobe will not provide support for problems you run into, though folks here might try to offer solutions. I have not heard anyone try it yet. Several were successful with Win7, though I only heard of 2 with Win7, 64-bit who claimed success.
However, you might find that AA XI provides better performance (assuming you do get AA 8 to work) and you probably should consider the upgrade.

  • Can i have same ORACLE_BASE directory location for Grid and RDBMS home ?

    Grid Version:11.2.0.3
    OS : RHEL 5.8
Can I have same ORACLE_BASE location for Grid (CRS) and RDBMS software Homes ?

The OFA guideline for ORACLE_BASE is /u01/app/<owner>.  If you are using the same owner for all software (let's call him "oracle") then a simple installation will have one base /u01/app/oracle.  This base will be shared by all installations of Grid and RDBMS software.  But, if you use two separate owners (let's call them grid and oracle) then you will have two separate ORACLE_BASE locations /u01/app/oracle and /u01/app/grid.  I always use two separate owners, but I know many people who only use the oracle account and that is fine too.
Oracle allows every ORACLE_HOME to have a unique base.  There is no requirement to install more than one ORACLE_HOME under a given ORACLE_BASE location.  This is just an extension of what I said above, that the ORACLE_HOMEs for Grid and RDBMS can be stored under separate ORACLE_BASEs.
If you are using RAC then I strongly suggest you read chapter 1 of the Oracle Real Application Clusters Installation Guide.  Read section "Overview of Oracle Base and Oracle Home Directories". The rules for ORACLE_BASE are as I noted above, but the rules for ORACLE_HOME change: the Grid ORACLE_HOME is not to be a sub-directory of the Grid ORACLE_BASE as it is when not using RAC.  So, with RAC your directory structure might look more like this:
    su -
    umask 0022
    mkdir -p /u01/app/oraInventory
    # Grid Base
    mkdir -p /u01/app/grid
    # Grid Home
    mkdir -p /u01/app/12.1.0.1/grid
    # Oracle  Base
    mkdir -p /u01/app/oracle
    # Oracle Home
    mkdir -p /u01/app/oracle/product/12.1.0.1/db_1
    # Ownership for all of the above...
    chown grid:oinstall /u01/app/grid
    chown grid:oinstall /u01/app/oraInventory
    chown grid:oinstall /u01/app/12.1.0.1
    chown grid:oinstall /u01/app/12.1.0.1/db_1
    chown oracle:oinstall /u01/app/oracle
My examples show 12.1.0.1 but it's the same for 11.2.0.3.
There's no requirement to create the home directories prior to running the OUI.  It can create them for you.  I just shown these commands to help you understand the big picture.
The OUI will pop-up a warning if the Grid user's ORACLE_HOME is outside of his ORACLE_BASE as shown in the above mkdir commands, which is funny since it is the recommended setup in the Oracle RAC documentation.  I submitted a bug report several years ago.  To be consistent across all of my RAC and non-RAC servers I follow the more strict rules of RAC and use the mkdir commands shown above.

  • Is there a Mac app that can do the same as DriveSort does for Windows?

I am considering moving from Windows to Mac, but first, I need to make sure that I can still do all I need to do in the Mac world as I do with Windows today.
One question, I can't seem to answer is a silly one, but important to me.
I keep my music in my car on a flash drive with 700+ songs on it.  However, since the flash drive is formated in FAT, it sorts the music by the order the computer decided to save them in.
To fix the order, I use DriveSort (http://www.anerty.net/software/file/DriveSort.php)  but it only runs in Windows.
Is there a Mac application that does the same? I don't care if it is free or not.
    Thanks.

It's not a question of how you can sort in the Mac.  It's a matter of how it writes files to a FAT  based flash drive.  The cars stereo will sort  the flash drive by the order the files were written in and not by any order the OS has sorted it.  This is the same in Windows and Mac, so a utility to "sort" the flash drive.  DriveSort does this perfectly, but they don't have a Mac version.  I'm looking for a Mac version of this type of software.  Surely someone in the Mac world must have run into this flash drive problem and found a fix......

  • Can I use my iphone4s charge cord for iPad and visa versa?

Can I use iPhone charge cord for iPad and visa versa?

iPad charging iPhone works fine. Iphone to iPad not so much.
Check the power specs. the iPad charger is a 10W charger, I think the iPhone one is only 5W. Technically it will charge the iPad but it will take longer.
The iPhone, however, seems to handle being charged by the iPad's charger fine.

  • Would I be able to use the same external hard drive for Windows and OSX?

I plan to get an external HD to put a lot of my multimedia files on and for backups but I don't know if I'll need an individual one for each operating system. I am going to be running a MacBook Pro with both Windows and OSX through Boot Camp.

    jengwall,
No, you won't need more than a single drive. There are several options to meet your needs.
OS X can partition your external, and the formats for the various volumes can be HFS+ (the native Mac format) or FAT-32 (Windows format). While OS X cannot create NTFS volumes, and it cannot write to them, it can read them. Any FAT-32 volumes created in OS X can be converted to NTFS by Windows, if and when you like.
Windows cannot natively read HFS+ volumes, and only the FAT-32 format will be both read and write for both Windows and OS X. However, there are some third-party solutions.
"Macdrive" is a Windows utility that allows it to access HFS+ volumes as read/write. On the Mac side, there is "MacFuse," which gives OS X the ability to not just read, but write to NTFS volumes.

  • Can I use the Sony Ericsson x10 for iTunes and iCloud ?

I am looking to purchase a sony ericsson x10 android smartphone. Could anyone tell me if I can play my iTunes tracks and connect to iCloud on this phone ?

You cannot connect to iCloud, no (with the exception of email via a web browser). If the Sony will play industry-standard AAC audio tracks, then it should be able to play the tracks from iTunes without problems, assuming you don't have any old tracks that had copy-protection.

  • Installed Dreamweaver MX 2004 update for Windows and now Dreamweaver won't open. Help?

I was having some glitches uploading to a host I ftp to often so I decided to check for a Dreamweaver update for MX 2004.  When I found the Windows update and tried to install - it told me to uninstall Extensions. I uninstalled extensions and continued with the installation of the update.  Now Dreamwever will not open at all - it says Dreamweaver MX 2004 has stopped working.  I can see the update is installed since the version is 7.0.1.  Any ideas on how to undo the update? I have no idea where this program disk is right now for reinstallation plus all my servers are already setup....

You might try Windows System Restore to a point before you installed the update.
    Good luck.

  • External library Same name of lib for windows and linux

I have a VI library, under Windows. This library contains a bunch of SubVI who call our libAPI.dll We are currently adding support for Linux. And, thus, have the equivalent for our libAPI.dll which is libAPI.so for Linux. Is it possible to use a generic name in the field for Library name or path API (without .dll or .so). So that when we will create of Linux version of this library we wont have to edit all of the Library name or path for each VI. We already tried to use the subVIs under Linux. Labview asked to locate libAPI.dll. If we choose libAPI.dll, then it works fine, but we do not want to have a question asked to the user about locating API.dll under Linux.
    Regards,
    Nitrof

Use "libAPI.*" in the call library function node configuration page.

  • Can I use same apple ID on two IPads? And how do I name new IPad..Thank you in advance for any help

Can I use same Apple ID on my old and my new IPad....and if so, how do I name the new iPad. want to keep games on one iPad and use the other for emails etc. Many thanks

    Hi,
Yes you can definitely use the same Apple ID regardless of how many apple devices you have. This way you can install the apps that you have already purchased.
It really does not matter what name your iPad is. You usually rename them under Settings>General>About>Name>
Just a note if you use the same icloud apple id as well, both devices will recieve the imessages and facetime calls.
    Hope that helps!
