Can I use same QT Pro key on two computers?

I want to have QT Pro on my desktop and laptop but I don't wanna have any issues with the same serial number being used etc.
Am I allowed to use it on both?

From the QuickTime Software License Agreement:
This License allows you to install and use one copy of the Apple Software on a single computer at a time. This License does not allow the Apple Software to exist on more than one computer at a time, and you may not make the Apple Software available over a network where it could be used by multiple computers at the same time.

Use same Aperture 3 Library on two computers

Hi folks, haven't found a solid answer on this searching so thought I'd give it a post.
I'm using Aperture 3 as my main workflow/management tool on my 15" MBP. My library is getting large enough that I'm going to be in danger of running out of space soon, and could use the performance boost that a desktop would provide.
My question is: Can I use the same Aperture Library on my MBP on a second Mac? Something along the lines of sharing my Pictures folder from one and pointing Aperture to the library on the second.
That way I keep everything in the same library but still usable on two computers (notebook / desktop).

What you describe is technically possible, and I haven't tried it myself, but I'm almost certain that you'll notice a performance hit working with your library over a network. I could be wrong, though. What I had been doing was to save my Aperture library on an external drive (I have a LaCie Rugged 500GB) that I could plug in to either my MacBook Pro or my iMac and work on it from either machine. Of course, if you're like me, and carry that drive and laptop everywhere, you'll want to make sure you have a current backup of your library that you can fall back on in case the worst happens.
The workflow I'm moving to now, because of Aperture 3's new syncing/merging features, is to have my main library on my iMac at home (on 1TB external drive), and smaller, more manageable libraries that I can use with the laptop, and sync back to the mothership when I get home.

Can one use a Time Capsule to backup Two Computers?

Sorry for what is likely such a dumb question, but Iif I bought a new Time Capsule with 3TB of storage, could I use this to backup two different computers on our home network?
And if so, could I generate an encrypted disk image (using Apple's Disk Utility) to store the data for both computers? Worst case scenario, there's a burglary and the Time Capsule is stolen, so we would feel much better knowing that the backed up data is totally encrypted and safe.

If you are asking about Time Machine backups from your Mac, the Time Capsule can easily handle multiple backups from 4-5 other Mac computers.
Time Machine will automatically keep separate backups for each Mac in a special container called a sparsebundle image, and you do have the option to encrypt the backups for each Mac.
Time Machine must backup directly to the Time Capsule drive.....it cannot back up to a separate disk image that you might create.

Yes, your subscription provides for having two working installations. You should only have to download and install that Cloud manager, sign in, then install the applications thru the manager... pretty much the same thing you did with the first machine.

The Touch has to be connected to a computer at least once to set it up. I remember being very disappointed when I got mine. It was delivered at work and I had to wait until I got home to set it up. All it would show on the screen was the indicator to plug it into a computer. I don't know if you have to register it with Apple, though. And, as far as registration goes, it's not like they're going to check to see if you put in your real name. Of course, this might cause some problem later if you needed to find your serial number from Apple.
I don't think you need to have an iTunes Store account. However, you won't be able to use YouTube without it.

I just had the same thing happen on my Macbook but was able to resolve it (at least for now!). Here's what I did:
Go to Tools>Customize Keyboard
You can then select 'edit' on the left side under categories. Then on the right side, you'll see lots of commands. Scroll down till you find the ones that aren't working. Ex. Editcopy, Editpaste.
Select each one and check to see if there is a command short cut. Ex. for editcopy it should read: "Command C"
If it does not (i.e. the problem), put the cursor in "Press new keyboard shortcut." Then press the command key along with the corresponding letter. Note you will not type the letters out but actually do the command. Then press "Assign." The shortcut command should then appear under 'Current Keys.' Go through and check all of the ones that aren't working for you.
BTW, this is a nifty was to add some cool commands that you use often. Ex. insert row on table, etc.
Quit Word and restart it. It should work. Hope that helps!

Skytag's File Buddy. I would just use it to sort by file name. Don't use the duplicate cleanup as it may get too much! Note it may also show applications as packages, and their contents as individual files within a .app folder. Do not confuse the various .app folder contents for files that are duplicate, since they are default files for the various Mac OS X applications. Make sure the duplicates have the same file name and byte size, before choosing to delete one file.

You are referring to Target Display mode. Target Display mode can only be used in 27-inch iMacs and iMacs with Thunderbolt, not MacBooks Pro > http://support.apple.com/kb/PH11302
Unfortunately, you can't use the MacBook Pro as a display. It doesn't support the monitor mode

Yes you can definitely use the same Apple ID regardless of how many apple devices you have. This way you can install the apps that you have already purchased.
It really does not matter what name your iPad is. You usually rename them under Settings>General>About>Name>
Just a note if you use the same icloud apple id as well, both devices will recieve the imessages and facetime calls.

Find My Phone - can I use same user + password for 2 phones?

Just loaded the "Find My Phone" App on my new iPhone 4 and set it up. What a great tool for locating a lost iPhone. The only problem is that my wife and I have a joint mail and apple ID account.
So, my question is can I use Same user name (mail account) and password for TWO iPhone 4's (mine and wifes)? I assume that would work since each phone has a different serial number, and it seems to be ok when connected to my computer to sync each phone separately.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

My phone was stolen a few days ago. It must be flat by now, I have had it locked by my service provider, Find my Phone still works but says it's in Sydney, I live in Melbourne. Is this accurate? How can it still find the phone if it's not on?
