Can i use TC to backup a pc using the internal storage? Is there a way to partition some of it for FAT 32?

is there a way to partition TC so I can back a pc on my network without having to get a usb hard drive?

You cannot partition a TC.. well not without pulling it apart.. not recommended unless you have a fit of the crazies.. like moi.
You do not need to FAT32 anything.. indeed you cannot.. the internal drive of the TC is HFS+ and is always going to be HFS+.
But it is shared with windows over the network as if it was FAT32.. so you can indeed backup your pc to it.
Simply mount (sorry Linux/Apple term).. simply access the TC drive, by typing its address in Windows Explorer.
\\TCname or \\TCIPaddress where you obviously replace with the real network name.. or the real IP address.. so by default it would be \\10.0.1.1
If PC cannot access it make sure you have airport utility for windows loaded.. and you have PC setup in home location not work or public.. no luck turn off the firewall.

I hope there is a solution to this problem note that I can not use the iPad now

Your question makes no sense and I'm not sure if you typed very quickly and autocorrect went nuts on you, or if you are not a native English speaker and Google Translate didn't work properly. If you are saying that you forgot the passcode to unlock the iPad, follow the instructions here.

If officially unlocked, you can purchase a sim from one of the two nationwide GSM carriers, AT&T or T-Mobile. However, AFAIK, none of the carriers in India offer unlocking for the iPhone. Thus, if your phone is carrier locked, the only way it will work in the US is roaming...that would cost a fortune.
So, if you have a carrier locked iPhone, leave it home or sell it before you come to the US, then purchase an officially unlocked iPhone, from Apple, when you get to the US. You'll be able to use that phone in India when you go back.

  • Can I use the internal airport card of my Mac as a BRIDGE?

    * My Mac is part of my home network.
    * My wired Router provides NAT addressing for all wired computers and printers.
    Question:
Can I use the internal airport card of my Mac as a BRIDGE?
I am able to create a second LAN where the internal airport card, creates it's own network, but then the wireless computers are not on the same network as the wired.
If using an Airport Express, there is an option you can uncheck "assign IP address" that turns it into a bridge.... Is there anything similar with os X 10.4.3

  • HT4628 I can not use the internal wireless card with my Mac pro 2012, I don't know if it is broken

I can not use the internal wireless card with my Mac pro 2012, I don't know if it is broken. The problem is happen recently, I have to use an independent wireless card now. Thanks!

When you enable Internet Sharing in OS X, you are creating a separate sub-net.
There is no option to allow this to be a simple pass-through from Ethernet to AirPort (or the other way).
The problem is easily solved by getting an inexpensive wireless router. You can replace your current router OR disable the DHCP server on the wireless router and allow the wireless clients to get an IP address from the current router.

  • I want to be able to see the history when my kids use the computer. Is there a way to lock private browsing from being used?

I want to be able to see the history when my kids use the computer. Is there a way to lock private browsing so that my kids can not have this option?

There is no way to reliably disable private browsing or keep a user from deleting history. Use a program such as netnanny to keep track of history and sites visited.

  • My computer broke and I got it fixed. It doesn't say that the hard-drive was replaced, but I can tell my data is gone, including Pages that I bought. Is there any way of getting that without paying for it again?

Or if you purchased Pages as part of iWork on a disk, reinstall from the same disk.
    Best of luck.

  • Can I use the Leopard Disk Utility to repair a Tiger partition?

I have a multi-partition external disk, one partition has Tiger installed on it, while others have Leopard. (I used Leopard to partition the drive and then used SuperDuper! to copy my earlier Tiger backup from another disk to this disk.) Now I find I have errors on the partition with Tiger. Can I use the Disk Utility tool from my Leopard install to repair the Tiger partition? Earlier today I tried to boot from my Tiger install DVD and use the Disk Utility there to repair the partition, but it just hangs up and won't go forward.
    thanks,
    Chris Altwegg

You could use it, but if Tiger's Disk Utility couldn't fix it, it's doubtful Leopard's would fix it as well. You're better off using Disk Warrior from Alsoft.com.

I can see my folders by clicking the X next to my name on the Inbox Folder.  So I have my folders now, just cannot see them in the left colum or see multiple windows on Outlook.  At this point, I can use the folders, just with limited functionality.  Thanks -Gina

  • Accidentally removed file using the Terminal.  Is there a way to recover?

I accidentally deleted a file using the rm utility in the Terminal. Is there a way to recover this file or is it gone for good?

Odds are it's gone for good. When you delete a file only the directory entry is actually cleared or erased. The physical data still remains on the hard drive until it is overwritten. Because the directory entry is cleared the operating system considers the space on the hard drive is free. When the OS needs free space for a file it will use space that has been marked as free in the directory.
If the hard drive continues in use after a file is deleted, then the longer the drive is in use and the more data that are written to the drive, the greater the likelihood that the deleted file will be overwritten. Once overwritten the file cannot be recovered.
Assuming the file you deleted has not yet been overwritten, then you may be able to restore it with special recovery software such as Data Rescue II or File Salvage (www.prosofteng.com and www.subrosasoft.com, respectively.)

  • *How can we use the internal table in module pool programming? Clarify plz*

If we creating a screen using the table having four fields(for e.g.). The screen has the functions of display, modify, delete, save, exit etc for the fields. The front-end of the screen having I/O fields of the table using internal table. How can we declare the internal table in the screen?

    HI,
Create one WA for your Internal table and then map it to your fields.
    For Example,
    Data : begin of wa,
              name(10),
              age type i,
               end of wa.
data : it like table of wa with header line.
Then in screen create input fields with the name, age and ***.
Then the user entered values are stored in name age and ***.
then you can manipulate with that values using wa.
    Thanks.

  • Can I use the Galaxy in Germany if it's "unlocked" with a local SIM (for local rates)?

Can I use this phone in Germany with a *local* SIM card for local rates if I get Verizon to unlock it or do I have to wait for the ever-elusive upgrade for this to be possible?
I have been with Verizon since 2006, my original HTC Incredible has been eligible for an upgrade since April, and I was planning to stay with Verizon since I'm overall happy with the service. However, this uncertainty about being able to use the phone globally (and specifically in Germany) with local SIM cards has me considering other carriers for the first time, who have not crippled their phones in this way. In particular AT&T I guess. I don't understand why Verizon would choose to limit their phone like this.
I would like to stay with Verizon, but I'm not going to wait indefinitely for a required update -- unless someone authoritative can tell me that I am able to use this phone with a local SIM card with local rates in German right now. That would make me very happy   .. otherwise, I guess it's time to check out the Galaxy on the other carriers.
ps: I have searched the web, and this forum for related posting w/o the answer for this specific question about unlock helping with Germany.

Hmm .. thanks for the info, I was afraid of that .. I'v really been wanting to upgrade my phone for a few months now ... and the S III seems like the best phone right now, but not without that feature. I would rather stick with Verizon though but I am looking at the other carriers because of this.
Also just found out that FM radio isn't available on the North American versions of the phone .. too bad, my DInc has it, and it helps limit data usage (and presumably uses less power than streaming, plus not all stations stream). It's not a required feature for me, but it was a nice option to have..

  • I want to sync from desktop Firefox to my android browser, NOT the mobile firefox; I can't use mobile firefox. Is there any way to do this?

I want to synch my bookmarks to my Android phone, but nothing I've tried works. Gmarks doesn't work. Xmarks doesn't work, Firefox Snych doesn't work (I am NOT installing Mobile Firefox because it won't work with my phone).
IS there any way I can upload my Firefox contacts to Google Contacts and then synch my Google Contacts to my android's browser? (I mean the default browser, not Firefox).

    (1) Bookmarks
All the apps I see in the "Play" app store for importing bookmarks have pretty bad reviews. What do you think about hosting your bookmarks online and accessing them by loading that page? It is an extra step but might be a useful workaround in the short run. Of course, finding a site that works well also could be a challenge...
    (2) Contacts
When you say Firefox contacts, do you mean the ones in a particular webmail site? Or Thunderbird?

  • How would I Set up an External Hard-drive for movies to share with AppleTV? and Also can I use the internal Itunes Library to the Ext HD1 then Ext HD2?

I have tried to set up an external HD but after following the directions the movies in Apple TV ( My Movies) showed a film strip with the note the location could not be found. I deleted the movie content under the internal movies in Itunes. I did notice a blue dot vs a grey dot net to the name of the movie. I appreciate if someone could poitn me to the correct step by step procedures.  I would like to setup more than one Ext HD, as Ext HD1, Ext HD2 etc storing my movie collection. Any suggestions if the latest in ITUNES 10.5.2 and the AppleTV 1st and a 2nd generation are being used.

This forum is for questions from those managing sites on iTunes U, Apple's service for colleges and universities to post educational material in the iTunes Store. You'll be most likely to get help with this issue if you ask in the general iTunes forums.

  • Is there any way to create a wifi hotspot for my macbook using my IPad?, Is there any way to create a wifi hotspot for my macbook using my IPad?

I am going to a lake cabin in Northern Minnesota for a week and need to get wifi for my Mac.  Is there any way to create a wifi hotspot using my Ipad so that I have internet service for my laptop?

No, iPad can become a hot spot, but if you have an iPhone, it can tether if you have a data plan that incudes the tethering option.  With AT&T for example, you can add tethering for $20 month or for $45/month, you receive tethering and 4GB of data per month.  If you have the unlimited data plan from AT&T you'll unfortunately have to give it up if you want to tether.  You can also go to almost any carrier and purchase a MiFi unit which may work for you.  Whether iw will work in Northern Minnesota is something only your carrier could answer.
