Can i use the default value in TNSNAMES.ora file

Hai , i connect the Vb to oralcle using Oracle data access component , and i have read the documentation for ora file.
Most documentation show to connect oracle with vb.net , the ora file must be modified.
My questions is , can i directly connect to Oracle without modify the ora file ?

How can I get the default value of a particular preference in FireFox?.
I know I can see the default value for some of the preferences in about:config but, I need a programatic way to get the default value.
I see some that there are values for preferences in firefox.cs but I am not certain that these are being used as the default values for preferences. prefs.js in user's profile only has the updated values and not the default values.
Any help towards acheiving this programtically is greatly appreciated.
If the default values are stored in a file, kindly let me know the format in which it is stored for me to parse it programatically.

Here when you have the callableSattement as ?=proc(?), the first ? is an output parameter. So you should register it as out parameter using registeroutparameter.
Then you can get the value from the outparameter using callablestatement.getXXX().

you can find currently used parameter values v$parameter and v$parameter2.
if default values is different real values then you can see alert.log.
because in alert.log you will see non default values, rests is default.

Actually, it's only an applet for test. I cannot get the error code if I new the KeyPair in install function or Applet construct function. It will return "6A 80" when install the applet.
And, I found that it support few algorithm. For example, it does not support ALG_DES_MAC4_ISO9797_M2,etc. Is there anything I can do if I want to use the algorithm? Shall I rewrite security package by myself?

The CCK will find/ask to download (if iPad supported formate )picture and video files if the device is formated in FAT 16 or 32 and the supported files are placed in a "DCIM" folder in the root directory. I have transfered such files from SD card and USB drives. However, not USB drive work. I had an old 2GB (very large) and when i connected it it said it drew too much power.
I also downloaded pictures and video files from a compact flash card and smart media card via a SanDisk USB card reader.

I want to be able to change the default value of a comand when the vi
is running. (I know how to do that with a right click when the vi is
not running).
In fact I would like the user of the vi to be able to choose a new default value for a command.

You can't do this on a running VI. If you have an idle VI, you can open a reference to that VI and use an invoke node with the Make Current Values Default method, but that will only work in LV (i.e. not in an EXE) and will affect all the controls. What you can do is save the values to a file and load them when the program starts. OpenG's File I/O package includes some VIs which will help you with that.

I have to create the subscription programatically, which is different from what you mention. To further clarify my challenge:
I have three parameters in a report: date-interval (string), start-date (date), end-date (date). If the user selects for example "last week" as the date-interval, the DEFAULT values for the other two are as follows:

Now, If I programatically create a subscription to a report that contains these three parameters and set a value of "last week" for the date-interval parameter, the subscription stores the fixed days (say september 10 to september 16) producing a report of the same week every time the subscription is run and not updating the correct interval to LAST-WEEK!. What should I put as the value for start-date and end-date when I create the subscription to have these two params get the DEFAULT calculated value based on the third param date-interval?

How can I change the default value in IT0009?

Right now in our system when we create a new IT0009 entry, several fields are defaulted such as the payee name, bank country, and currency (field WAERS). But in table T588Z I can not find anything defined for IT0009. Now even I create entries in T588Z ex. as
0009 WAERS 06 10 W P0009-WAERS='USDN'
the currency still shows up as 'USD' when I create a new record. Can anyone tell me where the field 'WAERS' is defaulted as 'USD' and how can I control this?

Correct me if I am wrong,You need to default a value, so i guees you would need to use the feature P0009 not the dynamic action. If you could let meknow the current structure of the p0009 feature, may b i could help you figure the could-be structure of the p0009 to default the required value.

How can I use the output value from SIMPLE PID to write something to the serial port?

I am working on my Senior Design Project that requires the use of incoming compressed air, propotional valves, continuous servo motors, and a serial servo motor microcontroller. I have figured out how to send byte sequences to the microcontroller through LabVIEW using the VISA serial write function. The motors are attached to the valves to control the flow rate. I have created my own simple feedback system using a bunch of case structures but I realized that I am basically trying to recreate the wheel (I basically was writing my own PID VI). I have an older version of LabVIEW (7.0 Express) and theres no way to upgrade or buy the PID toolkit, so I am stuck using the Simple PID VI. Also, the only way the motor works is sending an array of bytes to tell it to turn on/off, direction, and speed. Is there any way I can use the Simple PID VI in conjunction with the VISA SERIAL write function, or is there any other way I can communicate with the serial port using this pid vi? Any information would be appreciated.

From you first post you know what values your motor driver is expecting. You know which values the PID.vi is providing. Now all you need is a formula to reshape the values from PID to the motor. It's up to you to make such a formula. Unless you provide any details we cannot give more precise answers...

Can we use the metadata value of an asset without prefix

I am using the DAM asset (com.day.cq.dam.api.Asset;) and reading the metadata values using the keys
e.,g. asset.getMetadataValue("dc:format");
Is there a way I can add a value to the metadata something like ("dummyType") or (":dummyType").
There are already some key values in metadata e.g. asset.getMetadataValue("Type");
But for "Type" an empty string is returned, does any one have suggestions or a workaround for this ?

In one of our Stored procs,we have a variable RECS_TO_DELETE, which determines the number of records to delete from various DELETEs that happen within this proc.
The value for RECS_TO_DELETE variable should be obtained from a configuration table sys_config

Open DIsk Utility and in the toolbar select Disk Image. The file selector will open and you'll have to do three things: 1) just as with any file, name it and point the file selector to where you want it to be saved, 2) near the bottom you'll see name - type iWork 2013 and 3) below that select the image size. Click on size, choose custom and type 1500 MB then click on the Create button.
Some time will pass and then you'll see an external disk pop up on your desktop and/or the Finder window sidebar. Drag the three programs into it and eject it like any other external disk. Now delete the programs from your applications window.
Where ever it was you pointed the file selector to you'll see the file you created. Double click on it and the disk image will mount again.

I realize you are asking specifically about 'defaults', but as they concede in 'man defaults', it may not be the best tool for editing properties in "complex" structures, such as those buried in dicts within arrays, etc.
As an alternative, it looks like in 10.5, '/usr/libexec/PlistBuddy' is now a part of the standard install - 'PlistBuddy' may be more useful for this sort of task.
For example:<pre>
/usr/libexec/PlistBuddy -c "set Test:0:Name zzzz" /path/to/file.plist</pre>

Terminal is unwired.

I believe the unwired is defaulting to true which says that visa will look for the termination character and pull it out of the data stream. If you want to see CR-LF's you will have to turn this off.

I'm doing this with my app (getting access to the local filesystem and launch applications) and it works just fine.
Things to do:
1)
Make sure your app is signed.
(I used jarsigner to sign my jar file, comes with the j2se)
2)
Make sure in your .jnlp file that you are allowed to acces the filesystem, check your <security tags>

From within the app try this to launch Acrobat Reader (win2000):
