Can i use the icloud system to store cd's that i own that have been downloaded to itunes or just purchased songs?

will i be able to store music on icloud  that i put into i tunes from cd's that i own in addition to itunes that i purchased?

For Cds you rip you will be able to upload your songs, up to 5 GB as far as I know. If you want more you could subscribe to iTunes match - that will locate the songs you ripped in the iTunes store and push those to your mobile devices. But iTunes match will not be a free Service.

Yes, but if you move the "original" data on your iMac to the Time Capsule....then the "original" data is now on the Time Capsule disk.
When...not if...the Time Capsule disk has a problem, you have no backups for this data.
Perhaps a much safer plan might be to add an external hard drive attached directly to your iMac. Then, move the data to that drive from the iMac.
Now, Time Machine will back up both your iMac and the external hard drive so you have "originals" on one drive and backups on another. Would that plan work for you?

My icloud account is not verifying it says check my mail witch I have done and I get a message say your iPhone for has been used to set up and Icloud account but still can not use the icloud can anybody help me.

Be sure you are checking the email account that you used to set up the Apple ID you used to create the iCloud account.  Also, be sure to check your spam/junk folder as well as your inbox.  The email you should receive looks like the image below.  When you get it, click the Verify Now link.
If it still isn't there, try going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right look for a link to resend the verification email.

Try the Photoshop CC 2014 Preference experimental section 2X UI option

That was the first thing I check, my X no longer exist, the app still works fine and does everything it did in the past, the the x (delete) option is no longer there.  I have deleted and redownloaded the app and did a complete reset, X still not there as an option.  Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

  • I can't use the iCloud feature on Safari with Mountain Lion.

I updated to Mountain Lion but my iPad 3rd gen and my iPhone 4S will not update or use the iCloud function in Safari. It says it works on my computer, but the icon is not on my IOS devices. In the IOS 6 update info it says that iCloud web page sharing between devices would come out in fall, so why do I have it on my
computer then? If it is supposed to work just give me a sollution please, I just want it to work.
PS. My IOS devices says they are already up to date.
    Thanks!
    -Nick Auen

Please tell me that it has NEVER been jailbroke.  If it has not been jailbroke, here are some standard repair procedures:
First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore (or it doesn't help), go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.  You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again.  Also, if you have IOS-7, read this.

  • How can I Use the iCloud Control Panel to pick a new folder

I apparently moved or deleted my iCloud folder and keep getting this message Use the iCloud Control Panel to pick a new folder.  How do I do this?

I have/had the same problem, just started this morning. I tried a system restore to a known good date. I still had the problem so I rolled restored the system to the latest.
Thinking that it might have something to do with priviliges, I reviewed my user account and noticed it was set to "Administrator". On a whim, I switched my user account from administrator to "standard user" and I'll be... the issue dissapeared. I have no idea why. But I thought I'd pass it along.

  • HT4864 can I use the icloud smtp server as the outgoing server for all my other imap accounts?

I have several imap accounts. I want to send all my messages using the icloud server. I put the icloud server as the smtp server for each account but mail is not able to send the messages. The configuration is correct for the smtp iclous server, I checked.
    Is there anything I'm missing?
    Fausto

The only thing you're missing is that you can't do that.  You have to use the correct smtp server for the mail accounts.  Email providers generally don't like sending some other company's mail.    If you want to send from the icloud servers, use your icloud account when composing.

  • Can I use my iCloud 5GB to store Word, Excel and PDF files?

I have an iCloud account that shows 5GB of space available and I'd like to be able to upload a bunch of documents for storage and be able to access them from any of several PCs, Macs and iOS devices. I do this now with Dropbox, readdledocs and google docs, but I can't figure out how to do it with iCloud.  I don't want to buy the iWork apps--just want to store files and be able to access them from other systems.  Is this possible?

Only If you own iOS5 and also keynote, pages and numbers for iOS you can opt in to use iCloud for document storage.
    That's in iOS5 "Settings" -> "pages" ( numbers,keynote ) -> "Use icloud" , set the slider to yes ( blue ).
Then all files created on your mobile iwork apps is going into the cloud, occupying space of the 5GB.
You can then ( without purchasing the apps you can't use office document storage/ up- and download per Browser in iCloud at all ) also manually upload files from PC/Mac to the icloud space, thus also have these uploaded documents inside your iOS apps.
It accepts all Microsoft Office 97 - 2011 formats as well as iWork09 for OSX file formats.
PDFs can't be up-, but down-loaded as copies of your documents up there in the icloud.
The URL to up and download is www.icloud.com/iwork  and the process of uploading is done like this :
Message was edited by: Sjazbec : no iOS apps = no iWork in the cloud.

  • How can I use the iCloud backup files?

Recently I lost my passcode and I had to reset my iPhone. Some of my data is on iCloud but I don't know how to use my camera roll again in my Photos. All I want is to know how can I store my pictures and videos from iCloud to my Photos.

Your camera roll is included in your device backup by default, unless you excluded it in settings.  However, you can't view the photos and videos (or anything else) in the backup; you can only restore it to your device.  Later this fall, iCloud Photo Library will be introduced along with iOS 8.  At that time, you can start storing and accessing your photos and videos in iCloud (see https://www.apple.com/icloud/preview/).
If you want to store your camera roll, import it to your computer using your usb cable as explained here: iOS: Import personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer.

  • I set up new phone (5) as a "new phone instead of backing up from icloud. How can I get back in to use the icloud backup? If I hit "delete account" does that just clear the new phone or does it get rid of my whole icloud account.

In the set-up process I clicked "set up as new phone" when I should have clicked "back up from icloud". I can't use itunes for the back up as it is not current. Is there a way to get back into setup? If I click "delete accout" in icloud management will it clear just my phone (so I can start over) or will it actually delete my icloud?

Settings>General, scroll to bottom of screen and tap Reset, choose to delete all data.  Then attach to itunes and choose to perform a restore.  You'll get the option to restore from icloud.
