Can I use the same class as a page backing bean and a lifecycle listener

Hi everyone
I have code in a backing bean that executes as a value change listener. What I want to do is have this code execute on first page load. So what I am asking is:
if I implement the PagePhaseListener interface on the backing bean class, will I be able to access the #{bindings} object during the beforePhase() and afterPhase() methods.
Thanks in advance
Thanassis

Hi,
yes, and it is documented here

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
How to Calibrate Your Mac, iPhone, or iPad Battery

At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. • Can I use the same wall adapter to charge my ipad and my ipod

Can I use the same wall adapter to charge my ipad and my ipod touch

No offense, but that's nice. I heard I was wrong and that what I said didn't make sense, so I simplified it. If I'm wrong, fine, but you have no reason to be such a *****. You never explained why I was wrong and you were right, so how am I or anyone else suppose to know that for sure? Then I tell you my source, and you insult me some more and then ask for my background, which as for this area goes, I already gave you. I worked at an Apple store for Christmas and was told by someone on the Genius team to tell customers not to charge iPads via iPhone chargers, as they had been known to fry the adapter or in one weird case, the actual outlet. Now I could see the outlet blowing be a bunch of other contributing factors, and not directly associated with the charger. However, the topic arose when a customer came in because her iPhone wall adapter didn't seem to be working, but wasn't that old, and admitted to charging her iPad with it. Why would I NOT believe that?
And my DEEPEST apologies on commenting on old threads. I know how vital that is to existance and what an inconvenience it is to EVERYONE else. I'll be honest, I wasn't checking dates as I assumed suggested posts with like one answer near the top of the list were newer.
Fine, I did something foolish, but I still win as I'm not either of you heartless ****** with nothing better to do than Internet harass others. Congratulations on your existences.

  • Can I use the same nike+ sensor with two differet Ipods and register the trainings in onmly one account?

Hello, I would like to know if I can use the same nike  Ipod sensor with two different ipods. I want to use the same sensor sometims with an Ipod touch and sometimes with an Ipod Nano, I want my trainings with both Ipods to be registered to the same account. I want them to be registered to only one account, not as it had been used by two different people.

Of course. You should use the same AppleID on all your devices. Why would you create a new one?

  • Can I use the same sync cord for my 1st Gen and 2nd Gen iPod?

I have to replace my sync cord (house fire) and I wondered if I could buy just one cord to sync both my iPods? I have a 1st Gen and a 2nd Gen.

If they both use the same type of cord, 30-pin or lightning, then yes, you can. There is no difference to the internals of the cords, just the connectors. Just match what you need.

  • If I download Mountain Lion on my MBP , can I use the same installer file on a different computer and continue the installation without Internet connectivity?

    Hi Folks,
I have just downloaded Mountain lion on my  Macbook Pro(haven't installed it yet) . My question is, can I copy the same downloaded Mountain Lion from the Applications on to an external hard drive and use the same on a different computer? I am having problems with internet connectivity right now, it would be amazing if it can be installed on the iMac without internet connection.
    So is that doable?
    Thanks in advance

And the 2nd installation would not require internet connectivity? Except , of course during the set up and the configuration of iCloud and location based services, which I can skip at the time

  • Can I use the same sim card from my iPad 1 and use it in my new iPad 3 4G?

I have been having difficulty getting a straight answer please someone help me. I have an unlimited plan on my old sim that cannot be transferred I'm really hoping I can use the same one

From what I understand the AE cards from the last model PM G5s will go into a MP although I would not suggest you do this as it's not as if you're going to save a stack of money over it. It's not going to support 802.11n connection formats and may not have the correct electrical requirements so may damage your MP.
    For instructions, try searching Google.

  • Can I use the same drive to backup with Time Machine and Windows Backup?

I've got a 1TB external hard drive that I'm currently using for Time Machine backups and also it stores about 300GBs of music. Can I partition the drive to add an NTFS formatted partition and use that partition with Vista's Backup/Restore feature? If so, how do I partition the drive? Forgive me, I'm a neophyte when it comes to Windows. Also, I don't want to lose the music files already saved on the Time Machine partition.

While you can add HFS+ volumes to an existing drive, adding NTFS requires taking chances: change to FAT and then convert to NTFS.
I'd invest in another backup. I don't even rely 100% on any one backup method; drive; let alone TimeMachine. A bootable backup should also be part of your strategy for OS X. So I would create a smallish 40GB emergency boot volume - for OS X use only.
For Vista, I use the built-in features of Ultimate/Business AND Prosoft Engineering DataBackup PC. Norton Ghost started out okay but gradually deteriorated, though their 2009 360 2.0 or something....
I would not want to use WinClone except as one-time 'snap shot' or emergency; useful when moving to a new larger hard drive, and if your Vista partition is small and not 100GB of files.
I'd look at 500GB+ drive to use solely for Vista backup and media files.
MacSales has $79-89 FW800/400 case for SATA drives, and just throw a good 640GB WD Caviar in for $78 and good to go.

  • Can I use the same external hard drive for time machine and storing other files

I have a 640GB external hard drive that I have been using for over a year for time machine backups.  My mac hard drive is now starting to fill up and I am looking to move audio, video and picture files to my external hard drive.  How do I do this without messing up my time machine backups?  Can I do both on the same external hard drive?  Do I just make new folders on the external hard drive to move the files I want?  Thanks for the help.

If you move the files you will need to get another disk to back the files up to. You don't want to have only one copy of certain files (personal, professional etc.).

  • CAN I USE THE SAME EXTERNAL FW HD W/ MY MAC AND PC?

    Thanks in advance.
    g4 1.25 ghz, 512mb   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

if i could at a later date use it to back up files from my PC, by just unplugging it from my mac, then plugging it in to my PC
Okay, that is different. In short, no. Since it seems you're going to be using it on your Mac most of the time, it will have to be in a Mac format in order to write to it. While using MacOpener would allow you to write files to that disk to back up files from the PC, I recommend against doing that.
To clarify. If you're just backing up basic data from the PC onto a Mac formatted drive through MacOpener, then that's fine. But, if you're using something like Drive Image to make a backup image file of the entire PC hard drive onto the external, then it must be in NTFS format. Otherwise, when you would boot to the emergency restore CD of Drive Image to restore the image to the hard drive, it would be impossible for Drive Image to read the external drive, were it in Mac format.
If not, can i somehow network an external fire wire (connected to my mac) to be accessed while on my pc?
Nope, can't do that either. A FireWire chain (or USB) cannot be looped. Worse would be having the drive attached to two separate computers at the same time. Pretty much a guarantee to lose everything on the drive and possibly damage the FireWire controllers on both computers.

  • Can i use the same power cord to charge my iPhone and my iPad.

I have an iPhone 5 and an iPad Air. The connection pins are the same, the ony difference is the size of the plug square.
    thanks,
    marcia

The Cables are identical no difference.
The Plugs are of different power outputs.
You can use the larger iPad charger to charge both the iPhone and the iPad.
And while you can use the smaller iPhone charger to charge the iPad it will take longer to charge due to the lack of power, and the iPad will need to be in sleep mode for it to actually charge.

  • HT204053 Guys im selecting my apple id to icloud and they told me u have to create a new one ....how can i use the same apple that i need...and also software up to date

    Help plz

ALL purchases are permanently associated with whatever Apple ID was used to originally obtain them.  Apps can not be updated without knowledge of that ID and, more importantly, its password.  Apple IDs can not be merged and purchases can not be transferred from one ID to another.

  • How can I use an external hard drive to both back up and free up storage on my macbook?

I've used a hard drive to back up my 2012 Macbook Pro via Time Machine, but I'm not sure how to use it as external storage to move things like video and music off of my Mac to free up memory and then how to move the same things from the hard drive on to other devices like my iPad or iPhone.  For instance, I have a ton of movies and would like to store most of them on an external hard drive so that they aren't taking up all of my memory on my Mac, but want to be able to move them easily back onto my phone or iPad.  Also, can I use the same hard drive to both back up my computer and use it for external storage?  If so, how do I do that?

Always use two drives for this: one for backup; the other for storage. Don't mix the two uses on one drive. There's a greater risk of data lost without that redundancy.
If you plan to backup using Time Machine, then be sure the backup drive's capacity is at least twice that of the drive you are backing up.
