Is it possible to use the split screen like I am used to using iin Excel?

If you work at it you will find hundreds of strikes, compared to Excel. Heck, there are about fifty strikes just compared to the previous version of Numbers. You have to use the app that suits your style, or change your style.

I have a Thunderbolt iMac 27" with a Thunderbolt Display attached. I would like to use the iMac and Thunderbolt display in Target Display Mode for my new Thunderbolt MacBook Pro. So far, it seems I can only use the iMac screen itself. How do I do this?

When I press the Command + F2, the iMac screen becomes a secondary for the MacBook Pro, and the Thunderbolt Display becomes the primary screen for the iMac. I was hoping that both screens would become secondaries for the MacBook Pro. Does anyone know how I should proceed? I have tried to connect the Thunderbolt display directly to the MacBook Pro, and the iMac to the Thunderbolt Display via the separate Thunderbolt cable, but there was no difference. Yes, eww, the language definitely states two thunderbolt displays, but I can understand the confusion and was siding with how they could make the mistake to think it would work like they want it to. My appologies for not being clear on that point, but I think you make it clear that the language in the ad says nothing about an imac.

...and, it turns out it's even easier in mail, it's just the regular "expand" icon rather than the slightly less intuitive book icon. So: HAPPINESS!

Can Sky use the Freeview logo like that?

Surprised this hasn't come up already. Now that we have Sky Sports the first thing I noticed was that Sky have added an extra logo next to the Sky Sports 1/2 logo in the top right on the digital terrestrial transmission. The logo is the same shape as the Freeview logo which suggests this is being done to ensure no pubs, etc are using the BT/TopUp version of Sky Sports as I believe BT/TopUp aren't allowed to sell to commercial premises. Now, I thought Sky had already taken care of this with the 'pint glass' logo on the Pub versions of Sky Sports on digital satellite which means there shouldn't be any need for this extra logo which is permanently on, even during the commercials which of course could result in screen burn, etc.
So, a few questions really:
As the 'shape' is that of the Freeview logo, are they actually allowed to use it?
Who asked for it to be there, BT or Sky?
Can it be changed / removed / moved?
Why does it need to be there at all?

I spoke to Apple support who said that the settings for podcast syncing in iTunes are no longer being used since Apple moved to their Podcast app.
This may explain why I see all 45 podcasts on my iphone when I only have 15 of them set to sync.
She also said that I would need to manually sync listened/unlistened podcasts between my Mac and my mobile devices since podcasts were no longer being synced from iTunes.
Can anyone verify?

Can I use the Podcast app like the older iOS 6 Music Player?

I've updated to iOS 7 and iTunes 11.1 and found that things seem drastically different.
How i used to do podcasts:
Subscribe to a podcast in iTunes on my Mac
Sync to iPhone using a cable
What used to happen:
Podcasts that were selected to sync did if there were unplayed episodes
The Music player would list only those podcasts where there were unplayed episodes
Now things have changed. I immediately was told that none of my podcasts were playable without the Podcast app. I downloaded it and installed it.
What is happening now:
Still subscribing to a podcast in iTunes on my Mac
Sync to iPhone using a cable
Podcasts showing unplayed in iTunes on my Mac = 46
Podcasts showing unplayed in the Podcast app = 57 - the difference appears to be that the podcast app is showing non-downloaded podcasts
Podcast app showing all podcasts whether or not there are any to play. The list includes podcasts that are not supposed to sync to my phone.
The Podcast listing appears to be in a random order (actual list shown)-
Apple Keynotes (no episodes)
This week in Photo (8 episodes)
Jake and Amir (no episodes)
Podcast Beyond (no episodes)
Accidental Tech Podcast (no episodes)
Vector (1 episode)
Podcasts with no new episodes now show a new episode though it looks like the episode is not downloaded
I'm not sure why what is being shown in iTunes is not being shown in the Podcast app.
Is there anyway to get the old behavior using the Podcast app?

I love my music, would love a iPod for this reason but the iPad air sounds really good too. Can i use the iPad air like a iPod for travel (in car).

I love music when I travel, I still have a older mp3 player that I can plug in the car stereo. I listen to various artists, a variety of music. Love to make a big play list for a long road trip.
I'm in the market for a Ipod touch or a ipad air, would I be able to do the same with the Ipod verses Ipad air.
I would use the WiFi for connection.
Compare for me the differences.
Remember i would want to use it when im out traveling on the road for music.

The wifi-only iPad is basically large iPod touch. There are some aps that are for the iPad only.
The new devices a a Lightning cable vice the older 30-pin connector.

I can't use The touch screen on my photosmart D7360.

The touch screen on my photosmart D7360 is not working properly. I am using windows vista 32-bit. It is stuck on the screen that comes up on the printer with a message to replace ink cartridge soon. at the bottom press OK or cancel. I can not do either. when I insert a memory card the screen does not change either so unable to print pics directly from the printer it will work from the computer so it works fine that way. what should I do or what needs to be fixed? I have already re-installed drivers several times and that does not work.

How can I use the green screen with iMovie?

Hey guys! I was wondering how does the green screen effect work with iMovie 11? I need to use green screen in iMovie in school for a project and I am trying to troubleshoot the problem.

Record a video against a green screen and import it to imovie.
Then place the green screen footage ON TOP of the background you want and a list should come up. Select green screen. Also, before you do any of that make sure that your advanced tools are selected under preferences in imovie.

How can I use the entire screen width while using fluid grids?

Starting to play around with fluid grids in CS6. If you start with the fluid grid template, in the desktop layout (for example), the gridContainer is 88.5% wide. It appears you should do everything within the gridContainer div. With that being said, If I want to create different visual effects on my page that use a true 100% of the width, how do I do that and stay within this design structure/methodology?
This seems pretty basic but I don't want to start off by breaking the rules or hacking in a work around

While starting with the FG Design you can set the widths to 100% in the New Document Dialog
If you have already into the design of your page , you can modify the gridcontainer classes in your css as below

Check whether you have necessary access/authorizations to Configure.
This should be always done in Development client.

Using local/testing server with cs5 inserting images look fine in the split screen but do not show

If I open example: header.php and insert any photo jpeg/.html ecs i can see the images in the split screen but not in the browser if i save then refresh. I am able to make any change to the code ecs. and they are reflected just fine. I have tried this with my fireworks images .html and when that did not work i tried a strait jpeg off the desktop. This all did not work. I have deleted the local server then step by step created a new one via devnet instruction. This did not work! everything looks fine i even tried in 3 sep browsers with 0 luck....There is no remote server connected at this time because i am making a child theme for my current site. After all changes are done we will the ftp the word press files to site and change.
Ps i even started over from scratch with 0 positive affects....

After a lot of pain!!!!!!! the issue is fixed lol After 3 weeks I have overlooked the obvious !!! so the simple fix was the path of the image. Yes i feel stupid 10 years in lol....
Apparently dreamweaver cs 5 will not use the full path when inserting images into the page example: If you drag the image out of your assets folder or however you do it, DW will give you a path like this <img src="images/glass.jpg" width="800" height="729"> This is not the full path and when your pist!!! you cant see things like that ;( so the image path should look like this:
