Hi i two iphones one mine one my wifes.
We have one mac laptop and one itunes account. is it possible to sync the two iphones on itunes but have two different contacts and email address.
But i would also like my apps to work on her mobile as i do not want to pay for them twice..

Yes. There is no device limit for the number of iPods, iPads, and iPhones that can be synced with the same iTunes library and iTunes account on the same computer. Each device can have its own sync preferences with iTunes on the same computer.
If both iPhones are synced with the same Address Book under the same computer login account, then the contacts on each iPhone will be the same. With the Address Book on a Mac, you can sync select Address Book Groups only with an iPhone instead of the entire Address Book and all groups. You and/or your wife can create an Address Book Group or multiple Groups to be synced with each other's iPhone only. You can transfer the settings for one email account to one iPhone and the settings for another email account to the other iPhone.

From the Summary tab select: Sync only checked songs and videos.
Under Options in the Summary tab select: Sync with this iPhone over Wi-Fi
If you want you can select: Manually manage music and videos.

You cannot. The remote app is exclusively for remotely controlling an apple tv for playback of a library on your computer. If you want to play your computer's music on your iPhone you just use home sharing on both devices and play the music in the Music app on your phone, not using the Remote app on your phone.

If i have to sync my iphone to my computers library is it going to delete all my contacts and email accounts and all the information i have on it?

I mean its rediculous that it will delete my apps etc but is it TRULY going to delete my contacts and email accounts? Do i have to start from scratch?

iPhones are designed to sync to only one computer or iTunes library. Attempts to sync them to a new computer or library will infact wipe the device and replace the contents with contents from the new library.
If contacts and calendars are synced with a cloud service like mobileme, gmail, or an exchange server, then they will not be affected.
If however they are synced with a supported application on the computer or the user rely's on the device solely for contacts, they will be wiped.

The one iphone is connected via the cloud. everytime a new song or app is added to the account it is placed in all of the libraries. I currently use Earthlink DSL with the modem connected by ethernet cable for my email and internet access . . . my brother has a Windows XP PC connected by cable modem, his ISP is Adelphia Cable . . . he is sick of years of Windows problems and ready to consider a Mac so since I have 2 older iMacs I want to lend him one to learn Leopard on and try out for a while . . . how do I set it up for his ISP's internet connection and email account ? . . . Thanks Larry . . . my brother and I do not use wireless, I am planning to shut down his PC, turn off his cable modem, switch the cable from the PC to my iMac, turn the cable modem back on, and see what happens when I boot up . . . when I did an Erase & Install of Leopard on this G5 iMac I chose DSL Modem during Setup Assistant and was instantly online with Earthlink . . . so I'm hoping the iMac will somehow recognize my brother's Adelphia Cable connection . . . your instructions for setting up his email are what I figured I would need to do so I hope he knows where to find all the necessary info on his PC because I know nothing about Windows XP.

Can't use two inputs at the same time (Mac)

How can I add two different inputs in the same multitrack session (Mac)? Right now I'm only being able to use the default input. When I'm on Audio Hardware and click 'Settings' (to add another input) nothing happens. I used to do this without a problem on Windows.
I need this to record a podcast with multiple hosts. I need to record what's being heard in the speakers in one input (the voices of the other two hosts) and my voice in the second input (I record it with the default microphone on my Macbook Pro).

Iphone and email problems - help please!

I have a few questions about email on the iphone I wondered if someone could help me with?
1. If I check my email at home on wifi everything is fine, I can recieve and send emails no problem. If I am outside and using GPRS ( Not found an EDGE signal yet ) I can recieve emails but when I try and send one it tells me it cannot find the outgoing server after trying to send the email for a few minutes.
2. Sometimes I open my email and its fine but when I go back and try and open an email I have previously read it says "This message has not been dowloaded from the server". How do I get the email to stay there?

I recieved a gift of an iphone from a friend a few months ago when she got a 4s. I never attempted to use it till a few days ago, I invested in a sim card from Tmobile to use. Well she said when she converted her info over to the iphone 4s, she restored the iphone to factory, so I can get my own itunes account and whatfor. Well when I turn it on it has the screen with itunes logo and cord meaning to connect it to itunes. Well in itunes it shows up as Iphone and says its in recovery, it needs to have update and whatnot. So I go ahead with it, and i get an error code at the end of it all: The IPhone "IPhone" could not be restored. An unknown error occured (-1)
I ran diagnostics under help in itunes. Stopped and started AMDS. Uninstalled and reinstalled itnes and AMDS. I basicailly went thru every single step I can find to try and fix theis issue but nothing is working. Am I just out of luck on this or what?

Error -1 could indicate a hardware issue. You may need to take the device to an Apple Store and have it looked at
