Can i validate in extraction ? (Need advise).

Dear All,
I use generate extractor using function to CRM System. Sometimes, when BW fetch the data, BW get 0 records (it's true, since sometimes no data in the CRM System).
My Question :
Is there any way/method to validate if there is no data in CRM, so the fetching records is cancelled ?
Could it be done in the function gen. x (CRM System) / Info-package (BW).. ?? / Any suggestion for it please .. ?

Hi Niel,
Just an idea not sure it works (never tried) once you trigger the Data load, you can check for the job that runs in R/3 to extract data and if the job is successful you can trigger an email.
As i think in case of Generic Extractors only when you trigger data load from BW the Data is collected in R/3 unlike LO where V3 jobs collects data and it resides in Delta Queue.
Please also let me know if you find an exact solution.

Afraid Compressor won't work with MKV. If you have access to a system running an earlier version than Mavericks, and with Perian installed you can use MPEG Streamclip or Quick Time Pro to convert to a mov.

The validation I created to validate whether new or updates rows does not overlap with any records in the table isn't working.
The columns are StartDt and EndDt
Validation Type: NOT EXISTS
Validation expresion:
select 1

    WHERE S.STARTDT BETWEEN :STARTDT AND :ENDDT
OR(S.ENDDT BETWEEN :STARTDT AND :ENDDT)
or (S.STARTDT <= :STARTDT and S.ENDDT >= :ENDDT)

Error Message:

The validation works if a new row or updated row overlaps any existing start and end date records but it doesn't work if I update startdate and end date rows that doesn't overlap existing date times
Example:
TABLE DISPLAYS THE FOLLOWING RECORDS
NAME                   START DATE                      END DATE
TEST                    1/1/2012                               12/31/2012
If I update the rows to the following values, I receive an error message (although those values don't overlap any records in the table)
NAME                   START DATE                      END DATE
TEST                    6/1/2012                               10/30/2012
Any ideas? Do I need to change my code?

Logic for date range overlap testing only requires two conditions in the WHERE clause:
ORACLE-BASE - Overlapping Date Ranges
WHERE S.STARTDT <= :ENDDT AND S.ENDDT >= :STARTDT -- TRUE for ranges that overlap
It looks a little odd, but, if you scribble out a 'logic table', it makes sense.

In my frustration , amongst lots of open web pages tutorials and other useless information , I come across innocent looking link and software to installed called Genieo , which suppose to help with any router .
Software ask for permission to install , and about 30 % in , my instinct was telling me , there is something not right . I stop installation . Delete everything , look for any
trace in Spotlight , Library . Nothing could be find .
Now , every time I open Safari , Firefox or Chrome , it will open in my home page , but when I start looking for something in steed of Google page , there is
''search.genieo.com'' page acting like a Google . I try again to get raid of this but I can not find solution .
With more research , again using genieo.com search eng. there is lots of articles and warnings . From that I learn do not use uninstall software , because doing this will install more things where it come from.
I do have AppleCare support but its to late to phone them , so maybe there some people with knowledge , how to get this of my computer

Genieo definitely doesn't help with your router. It's just adware, and has no benefit to you at all. They scammed you so that they could display their ads on your computer.

If you are already connected to Oracle, why would you need (or want) to validate a user name & password? If the connection was successful, Oracle has already validated the user name & password...
Are you trying to build your own proxy authentication mechanism? If so, I'd strongly suggest using Oracle's built-in functionality instead.

Where can we validate the MANDT field in a database table.

In any database table we will be having MANDT field. In the program while populating the table we never populate the field MANDT. But still in the database table, it automatically takes the current clinet number.
Could any body tell me where can we validate this. I have a requirement in my program, in which I need to populate one of the field with one constant value.

hi table T000 is for the Clients master table ....
the client is the special field for all the master tables...
for validating the field you need to do like this..

Do you mean that iTunes doesn't recognize your phone when you plug it into your computer using the usb to dock cable? If so, see http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538. (And yes, you need to use the usb to dock cable that came with your phone. If you dont' have it you'll have to buy another one.)

Need advise on an implementation design
Problem Summary :-
Our client(say "X") is contracted to perform certain business functions for their client (Say"Y")
Say "X" is do sourcing (RFP,RFQ) functions till PO creation,receiving in a excel based custom application ( Not through oracle EBS) for client "Y".
So "X" is not responsible for paying for those services and "Y" pays for those receipts.
We want to implement Oracle EBS Advance procurement solution for their above functions and replace the custom application processes.
But client "X" is not accepting advance procurement solution as they("X") are not paying for the services and they don't want to fit this solution in Oracle EBS as this may cause legal issues.
Questions:-
1. Whats the best design solution for this type of scenario to fit the custom process into Oracle EBS procurement ?
2. Can we follow the sourcing implementation process(RFQ/RFP)-> PO Creation-> PO receipts-> AP Invoice matching in Oracle EBS and is there a way to nullify this transaction in Oracle so that there will not be any legal issues? May be creating credit memo/AR invoice etc...

I have this issue regarding certificate chains while performing Outlook Anywhere connectivity test
by Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyzer:
"ExRCA can only validate the certificate chain using the Root Certificate Update functionality from Windows Update. Your certificate may not be trusted on Windows if the "Update Root Certificates" feature isn't enabled."
Note: even if I got the error, Outlook Anywhere and
ActiveSync services work fine.
Environment:
- Exchange 2007 with SP3
- Go Daddy Multiple Domains UCC certificate (up to 5 Subject Alternative Names)

Can I safely ignore this warning about the SSL cert? Using GoDaddy UCC cert but it is a little bit different by this case.

Strange I have a feeling the exrca tool can't validate the godaddy class2 root authority due some older compability and wants to use the older original root authority valicert owned godaddy. Or when the exrca tool is validating the root CA it only has the
goaddy class2 root ca that was issued by valicert and not the standalone cert when doing the comparision. I sent the question to MS and will let you know when I hear back.

Then import it into the trusted root cert authority on your CAS boxes. Then you need to delete the other godaddy class2 root authority. Make sure you see the one you imported both will be named goaddy class2 root authority but one will be issued by valicert.
Re-run the test and it will go away, I also saw the error with my domain as well using godaddy and got rid of it by using the new cert authority.

Can't validate and get key features in PSE12

My problem:
My Photoshop Elements 12 purchased from Amazon seems to be lacking features such as access to layers, etc.. Here's the series of events that I initiated. One of these might have thrown off things.
a) Downloaded a free 30 day trial version of PCE12.
2) Saw a good deal at Amazon and decided to purchase.
3) Don't have a DVD player so instead of using the discs I went online and after uninstalling the 30 day trial version I downloaded and installed (what could have been the same 30 day version) At some point I was prompted and entered my new serial number.
So I have a running copy of PSE12 but w/o key features. Is that typical of the trial version? Will these features such as 'layers' capability appear only after I have validated? I can't seem to get the validation going. Appreciate any help out there. Forget the phone help; it's at least a three hour wait. And are they charging me too?

Thanks for your answer to my desperate plea... I actually discovered this 'Expert' feature by following a Youtube how-to video later that evening. So, still appreciate that you care enough to reply. I'm just learning this software application and will continue watching the many videos from the Youtube source. Do you by any chance know what 'validation' provides as an advantage?Thanks again.Dave

How can I validate a date field in Portal Forms

I have a date field in portal forms that I want to perform validation on to make sure it's in the proper format before being accepted (mm/dd/yyyy). How can I validate against that field?

I took the time to test and revise. This is code that will validate a date entry (format MM/DD/YYYY). Just paste this in the "Before the start of the form..." window of the Additional PL/SQL code section of the form. Then add validateDate(); into the onBlur event window of the field in question. Replace the CYCLE_END_DATE with the field name in question.

i have created one EO where two date type attribute ToDate and FromDate now i want to add validation rule.
which validate that difference b/w ToDate and FromDate not more than 3 month.
How can i validate this?

You can create script expression
Something like
if((toDate.getTime()-fromDate.getTime())/(1000 * 60 * 60 * 24)>30)

P.S : Above example calculates based on number of Days (30). If you want 3 months, you need to put a logic - Simply 90 days? What about the months with 31 days and 28/29 days? etc.

U need to convert the string to integer with integer class. Go
to the documentation to search for it.
Then attach a conditional statement stating if not numeric
, then not valid. if u have little knowledge of java, u will understand it.
