Can I verify correct version of PSE 10?

I just downloaded from Adobe a trial version of PSE 10 for my new iMac OSX Lion v. 10.7. Is there a simple way for me to verify that the version I got is, in fact, for OSX Lion? My opening screens do not appear similar to what I see in the PDF Users Guide. Thanks. As a long time Windows/PSE2 user I feel I am on shaky ground.

Thanks for your prompt reply.........For starters, I just began trying to download/import photos to PSE from my camera. The graphic on page 6 of the user guide resembles the opening screen when I open PSE10 or Organizer. I'm sure I am not doing something correctly, so I thought the first thing to do was to be sure Adobe sent me the proper app. If I get started right I may be able to master this thing. I used PSE 2 for many years on my Windows OS, and I guess I got lazy about learning new things.

How can I verify what version of IE11 (32 or 64) is running on a 64 bit version of Windows 7

I recently upgraded from IE8 to IE 11. In the past when I would run ie8 from the Programs(86) folder it would indicate it was the the 32 bit version in the task manager by having an entry for iexplorer.exe *32
For IE11, the *32 does not show in the task manager.
How can I verify IE11 is running in *32 mode? I am trying to troubleshoot some active X controls that have known problems with IE11 *64 but I can't seem to verify which version I am running. Note I launch IE11 from the Program Files (86) directory
but I still would like some verification on what version is actually running. I am concerned because I am not seeing the *32 in task manager.

In IE10+, on a 64bit PC the frame (outer window) is always 64bit. The tabs are generally 32bit unless you've enabled Enhanced Protected Mode or are running inside Win8+ Metro environment.

Can anyone verify which version of SCORM 2004 Captivate 4 supports?

Captivate 4 in supporting SCORM 2004 writes 1.3 out to the manifest.
Obviously it supports SCORM 2004 version 1, but can anyone verify whether it does support either version 2 or version 3 of 2004?
We're trying to make sure our LMS is up to the latest specs. Version 4 just came out in March 2009, so we don't expect any products to support that yet, but we at least want to be able to support the latest Version up to that being used.

Cp4 should be able to ouput SCORM 2004 content that plays in an LMS that supports any of the 4 editions.
This does NOT mean that Cp4 has all the new changes already built into it.
But it does mean that Cp4 still handles the basics that are core to each version without attempting the latest extras.
The latter editions of scorm 1.3 (aka scorm 2004), added to and clarified aspects of the spec (e.g. sequencing and navigation control between sco's, global variables that can be shared between sco's, etc.), but Cp does not do any of that anyway.
There is one big thing that I did come across though that I want to mention.
Early on, they changed the name from scorm 1.3 to scorm 2004.
As a result, you can have equivalent courses, whose only difference is that the manifest file refers to the spec by a different name.
Many LMS vendors have accounted for this and it should not make a difference.
However, I had a case where the version of the LMS being used was released when it was still called scorm 1.3.
My courses (which were scorm 2004, 2nd and 3rd edition) initially would fail the basic package validation when uploading because it was looking for "1.3" in the imsmanifest file.
Changed the line in the manifest to reflect the old name, and suddenly everything was fine again.
In my case, to verify I ran the package through each iteration of the ADL Conformance Test Suite for scorm 2004 (just adjusting name of the referenced schema) and it ran through without a hitch.

You will need your serial number to license the download. If you registered PSE with Adobe, you can go to

and look for My Adobe or where it says, "Welcome, < your name >", and work your way through the links to your user account/purchases and you should see it there.

There was a 5.0, 5.0.1, and also a 3.5, but there was never a Firefox 5.5. The only other thing I can think of that might've been misconstrued as 5.5 would be the 5th beta release for 5.0, 5.0b5, but nobody should be using that.
In any case, they're all available on the FTP server so you should be able to find what you need there:

Correct version of Java SDK for Red Hat 4 ES on x86_64

I need to install the Java SDK for Red Hat 4 ES on x86_64 and I'm unable to find the correct version to download.
Note 716604 says to download 1.4.2_13 at java.sun.com but the I can't find the Linux x86_64 bit version. Note 941595 is for Windows and Solaris only.
Red Hat's site mentions two versions; java-1.4.2-ibm and java-1.4.2-bea. I cannot find any SAP notes that mention those names. Has anyone used these successfully on Red Hat 4 x86_64?
Does anyone know where I can download the correct version of Java SDK?

I have a MacBook Pro with all the necessary requirements.

Here are a few things to try:
Restart your Modem and Router.
Reset iTunes Store Cache (iTunes Preferences, Advanced tabl)
Delete the App Store plists (close App Store first):
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.appstore.plist
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.storeagent.plist
To get to these,iIf you still have your user Library hidden, hold down the Option key and select Library from the Go menu in Finder. Otherwise, just go into your home folder, then Library, and then Preferences.

How do I download an old version of PSE if I can't find my code?

I had an older version of PSE and my computer died. It was a downloaded version and I can not find documentation of the key code - it was probably on the computer that died..... I don't need an upgraded version I just need to reload the version I owned and activate it for use. How can I do this?

Can't uninstall an old version of PSE!

I'm trying to uninstall an old version of PSE 6 from my computer. I've followed all the instructions as copied below, but I can only find the uninstaller for PSE 13, which I just installed today.
Under the /Applications/ Utilities/ Adobe Installers folder, I have 3 items:
• Adobe ExtendScript Toolkit 2
• Adobe Photoshop Elements 6
• Uninstall Photoshop Elements 13
Nothing that I can see to uninstall PSE 6. Can anyone help me figure this out?
Open Finder and navigate to /Applications/ Utilities/Adobe Installers.
Start the Uninstaller for contents or application.
Uninstall Adobe Premiere Elements content
Uninstall Adobe Premiere Elements

Adobe Photoshop Elements Content

If you're not planning on reinstalling the application, select Remove Preferences. Otherwise, do not select this option..
Click Uninstall.

The pse 6 uninstaller is the one that says Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 in
/Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers
You might want to consider just leaving pse 6 installed so if you need any of the features that were removed from pse 13 or need to run older 32 bit plugins, since pse 13 only can use 64 bit plugins.
If you really want to get rid of pse 6, unistall pse 13 first, then unistall pse 6 and reinstall pse 13.

yepp, I have done numerous tests today, skipped router and hard wired betwenn PC and appletv3. same problem.
same network, but from my laptop, works like a charm.. so its not reproducable on all machines.

Woooooow, that is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen... I searched my address and apparently they decided to add a "Rd" to the end of my street name... I've NEVER used that before for my address, but as soon as I typed it into my iPad, it FINALLY let me in. SOOOO silly! Just go to this USPS site and type in your addy. It will verify ALL of your entire address and make you ALL of that is typed into your Apple device, because they have become address Nazi's to make sure everything matches. http://zip4.usps.com/zip4/welcome.jsp

Do you mean you can't restore your iCloud backup? If so, then set the phone up as new. Update iOS, then erase it and restore from your iCloud backup.
If that is not what you mean, then you need to explain further.

If you are talking about your Apple ID - go to Settings>Store>Apple ID - tap the incorrect ID and sign out. Then sign in with the correct ID.

How can I buy a Dutch version of PSE for Mac?

At the website of Adobe all pushes are towards cloud memberships and the English version of PSE 12.
The salesman told me he can't sell a Dutch version for MAC anymore (only the English PSE 12).
If I press the Buy button of my Dutch trial of PSE 10, I come in the same circuit without any possibility to buy a Dutch version.
Since I have given courses (in Dutch) for more than 10 years in Photoshop Elements en Photoshop Lightroom, it seems te become impossible for PSE.

It looks like it’s available within the Netherlands; so perhaps the problem is related to your location, or an upgrade is unavailable. This could be because PSE12 is approaching the date when a new release is due; normally in September/October. It may be worth waiting for PSE13 and then contacting sales again as support for PSE12 will soon be dropped after the new release.
