Can I video capture 'live action' from Viewer screen ...

Can I capture 'live action ' video as it appears on the 'viewer screen' in iMovie as I move the cursor across the 'source video' clips. Does iMovie allow me to record this 'action' to hard drive ?? ... Suggestions greatly appreciated.

it is this 'rapidly changing 'still' images' as it appears in the 'viewer' that I want to record.
You could use a screen capture application like Snapz ProX to capture the "preview" window as it is either playing or being "scrubbed." On the other hand, if you have QT Pro, you could also export the original source clip as a sequence of still images (image frequency can be selected by the user) to a folder and then simply open the "Image Sequence" using QT Pro to create a motion clip with a user selected frame rate for viewing. This approach would provide a more even playback than a screen capture of a "scrubbed" playback which depends on how fast and steadily you "scrub" the file.

Why can't I do batch actions from CS4 or CS5 Bridge now when I could before?

Something has changed in my functions for doing batch actions in Bridge. In CS5 Bridge I try to do a simple batch action of saving a DNG file as a jpg and closing the file. When I attempt this I get a message saying 'The command "Save" is currently not available.
I try to do the same thing in CS4 Bridge. I go to the Tools menu and look for Photoshop in the drop down menu but it's not there. This is how I do batch action processing with my Windows version of CS4 Bridge. I am confused about what has changed when I was able to do batch actions routinely in CS4 and CS5 Bridge on my Mac.

Batch using tools menu from Bridge to reach Photoshop should work as expected in both CS4 and CS5. If not then there is something wrong on either your system or install.
Go to Bridge CS5 preference and look for the section Start Up Scripts and see if there is still a Start Up Script for Photoshop CS5 present and with a checkmark in front for activation. If not try first to restart bridge holding down option key and choose refresh preferences. This should retrieve the original Start Up scripts again.
If your command save as is not available check the action and see what the save path for that acton is. If it is a copied action from an other system changes are that it still contains the save path for the old drive and if the script can't find it it provides a warning message.
Also check if the drive you save to has both read and write permission.

Audio and Video Capture, Live: Problems

I am trying to do a live capture of a demonstration using a video camera (DV) and a lavalier mic into a Griffin iMic. For speed's sake, I am trying to eliminate the TO TAPE step. I only want to capture. I can just edit the captured clips that way.
Audio is being picked up through the DV cam, and I cannot seem to force FCP to grab audio from the iMic source... I don't know where to change the audio source. Can someone help me do that? The camera is behind me, and so the sound it picks up is unacceptable.

That's a good idea.
This cam ($200 DV refurb Sony) does not have a mic in. I do have another cam with Mic in, but pluging the lav. mic (mono) into it generates a BUZZ on the other channel. So I have tried that, but it requires a lot of post editing.
My current solution is to record Audio using Sound Studio. I start the audio recording, switch to FCP, start the capture, then smack a couple of sticks together on camera (for my clapper board) and will sync the audio later. Loosk workable. I have two different drives recording data, and the Mac seems to be keeping up (gulp).
Would LOVE to be able to get FCP to only capture video from the DV cam, and audio from the usb iMic. That would be my fastest record-to-final option.

Can't Video Capture

I can't capture video from my camcorder anymore. When I capture a home video, the video keeps stalling and freezing and then my camera turns off and it stops capturing. How can I fix this problem. My ibook has captured movie before without any trouble.

I am a teacher and want to make some videos to post online for my class. I would like to have it set up so that I have a powerpoint presentation going, a video camera pointing at a piece of paper I can write on and another video camera pointing at me. How do I do this? I have seen several solutions but they seem to be for switching between videos whereas I want both video images to be on at the same time.
Also, is there a screen capture program you would recommend?

Go to System Preferences - Sharing and change the computer name there. You can also, optionally, change the name of your hard drive to further clarify the origin of your backups. Click once on the "Macintosh HD" on your desktop, then click its name to allow you to edit it.

Can you copy a build action from one image to another?

Hello - is it possible to set up a build action for a shape/image and then copy these attributes to another shape/image? I tried to use copy/paste styles however this did not work.
I need to replicate the same path/build sequence many times over many different objects and I do not want to have to recreate many times.

There is no way I know of to replace an object with another object. If you have images, you could create a single object, copy it, and use the "Image Fill" of the object to place the images "inside" it -- if the object is not stroked, it will look like the image, and not the original object, and if it has transparency, like a PDF, those transparent areas will remain transparent. (Note that you can also create PDF images of Keynote objects themselves using the Preview Passthru technique.)

Capture user action from method cl_wd_popup_factory= popup

Just wondering if anyone can explain to me how i capture what button a user pressed when using the method 'cl_wd_popup_factory=>popup' and how I perfor different methods/ functionality depending on what they pressed.
At the moment i can create the popup using the code below but it is not displayed untill the current method has been completed, at this point it seems too late to allow me to control of the code.

Can i stop the live paint from merging all my layers into one?

Having everything in one layer is causing much frustration. I tried clicking the release button but i then just loose all colour.

do you mean combining objects onto one layer? a live paint group is as the name suggests a group, and can't be spread across multiple layers.

Can get video but no audio from certain sites like You Tube. Picture plays but no sound. Any ideas

Can I disable "Slide to Call" from main screen? Forced to take call on accidental swipe

I have an iPhone 4s with iOS7 and I seriously do not like the "Slide to Call" feature from the main screen and would like to disable it. I would still like to see notifications on the home screen. I have accidentally swiped a call amongst other notifications and NO FUNCTION BUTTONS POP UP TO LET ME CANCEL THE CALL!. Seriously. A blank screen. I make an accidental swipe and now have to talk to someone I didn't want to talk to at the time.
Let me better describe the situation.
The 4s phone was locked. I had received a call and a text which were displayed on the home screen. I attempted to swipe the text, but hit the call. NO BUTTON, I had a blank screen and the call was going off in the 4s ear piece. I had to take the call or look totally stupid. I was just so angry that there was no way for me to end the call. In the second after the connection was made, after having held it to my ear and moved it away a few times, the buttons (End, speaker, etc) finally appeared.

You can always press the Sleep/Wake button.
If you have the iPhone ear-phones on, you can press the the remote button also.

How to capture values dynamically from output screen

I have a new requirement.
i developed a report which is showing output correctly. Here i have to take a check box for every record in output screen. if i check some of the check boxs then it should allow for further processing.
i succeeded upto put checkboxes on output screen.
but i don't know how to capture the values of checkboxes of every record into an internal table. it is necessary to capture into an internal table
will it be work by using LOOP AT SCREEN statement.
could you please explain with examples. it is normal report program only.
