Can I video stream to my home TV?

I tried browsing this forum, and saw no clear answer. Here is specifically what I want to do: I have a wireless network at home. I want to be able to stream movies, like from Netflix, to my flat-screen TV downstairs. I just want to simply attach the iPad to the TV via a cable. It is a newer Panasonic that I bought last year. Is this possible?
I also own a iMac with wireless, but it is too far from my home TV to run a cable (unless one of you knows of at least a 25' foot video connection cable I can get from my regular PC to my TV).

Thanks for that info. Just to clarify, it sounds like it will be difficult to use the iPad as a wireless receiver for my flat screen TV, I'll probably have to splurge on a blue ray player with wireless, or some other adapter and just send from my iMac to the TV. Does that sound about right?
As far as the iPad goes, though, I should be able to connect to my wireless network, sit outside on my deck, and watch Netflix movies (or any other Internet movie) directly on my iPad screen, so long as I am in range of my wireless network signal. Is that a true statement?

Why can't I see streamed video from PC to IPad 1 on TV when using HDMI adapter but can watch videos stored on the iPad

I can watch videos streamed from my PC to my IPad 1 on the iPad screen.
I can watch videos on my TV which are stored on the Ipad using an HDMI adapter.
I cannot watch videos streamed from my PC to my Ipad on my TV using the HDMI adapter, I get sound but no picture although the picture shows on the Ipad screen.
Can anyone tell me why this should be and whether there is a solution?

How does one "flatten the annotations? Do you need Acrobat to do it? Can you do it on the pdf or do you have to change it to a word doc?

from where in iCloud I can find my shared Video Stream videos? They are not downloaded to my iCloud account.
In iPhone's iCloud storage documents I can see Video Stream but when I open in computer my iCloud account ( OS X 10.8.3) there are no video downloads at all. So- where they could be?

You should know that Photo Stream doesn't upload videos, so you won't get videos from the iPhone to the Mac using iCloud. Probably you are seeing that your iPhone is backing up videos to iCloud, but they are on the iPhone backup, not on Photo Stream, where your Mac can access to.
Unfortunately, you can't stream videos on iCloud to other computers or devices. If you want, you can send the idea to Apple > http://www.apple.com/feedback Until Apple includes this feature (if they do it), you have to use another cloud storage as Dropbox

I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6.

Can't remove the bar to forward in the video streaming on website

after update flash player, i can't skip forward or remove the bar to fast forward in the video streaming on the website. When i remove the bar forward, it always go back to the start. i have try every website that having video streaming and it always same hapened. the video that can't fast forward, it always hapened to video that have link to google video. before i update, that link can be fast forward. and one problem again, why flash make link to youtube on that video? every i klik youtube button , that is no video such a thing on youtube. i get the link google video use internet download manager.

Welcome to apple discussions. Sorry to hear you are having issues making a properly working iDvd project. Don't think I've ever encountered the theme constantly looping while refusing to play the movie on most set top dvd players /TV's but w/o issue on most computers. Seems odd to say the least. I don't think I can even replicate such a scenario on my own computer.
However, if it were my iDvd project, I'd simply delete all encoded assets from iDvd's advanced menu tab. If didn't do anything then I'd start over from scratch but first I'd dispose of the plist for iDvd which looks like this:
com.apple.iDvd.plist
Make sure you quit the app first before getting rid of this preference file located in your Home folder > Libaray > Preferences. Once that's done then repair permissions from apple's disc utility located within your Utilities folder w/in applications.

I had a av cord that plugged into the iPhone 3gs and iPad 2 but its not compatible with the 5 connector. Right now i have to email myself the videos in small segments and open and save on the iPad 2 to burn them. Is there an easier way to burn these from my iPhone 5 or through air play on apple tv?

Connect the phone by USB to the computer, import with image capture, iPhoto or whatever application you use to import movies, drop it into iTunes.

Yes, add them to iTunes. The fact that they are on an external doesn't stop them from being in iTunes.
If necessary, create a separate library which you just use when you have the external connected.
Alternatively, if you have an iPhone or iPad you could check out an App like Air Video, which displays video that isn't in iTunes on your device. I think you can then use Airplay to get it onto your ATV.

1) I know my "profile" indicates I'm on Mountain Lion. I have not figured out how to update that. I am using Yosemite and Keynote Version 6.5.2 on a 15" Macbook-Pro (tell me how to update my profile, please - nothing I click on opens any kind of "edit" options)
2) My 20 sec video does play in Quicktime. I find nothing in the Quicktime Inspector about deselecting "start movie on click."
3) in my slide presentation I can insert the video on a slide okay and if I click on it can get it to play, But I cannot seem to get it to play after a transition automatically. Maybe it cannot be done. Obviously I would like the entire presentation to play automatically without clicking on or between slides.

Can QT pro record video streams off the internet? I thought it was only able to capture embedded video files. Video streams aren't donwloaded into cache, so they have to be saved as they're received. Could someone clarify? Thank you.

Can PQA use a single reference frame against a test video stream?

For R&D testing of video "set-top" devices I want to initiate some internal processing on our UUT, then using a PXI-1491 analyze the digital (HDMI) video output of the UUT for some large number of seconds (180 seconds or more for example).
The video that is being analyzed will have static image content. The amount of time I want to analyze the test stream after doing some stuff on the UUT is variable, but I always anticipate it being fairly long.
It currently appears that I have to have a reference stream that contains exactly the same number of frames as the test stream.
This makes the reference vbf files very large. My test requirements include a large number of resolutions that must be tested through the UUT. Having an extensive library of very large vbf files is logistically difficult, it would much easier to maintain such a library made up of single "golden" frame reference files instead. Additionally, since my analyze time needs to be variable depending on test setup and UUT processing options, it would be better for me to have a single golden reference frame and validate alot of test frames against it.
Since the analyzed video will have static images, is it possible to run a test video stream against a single reference frame (reduced reference) instead of having a full reference stream frame by frame?

Doing exactly what you are asking is not within the design of PQA. Of course, the best option that we would recommend when working with video test is a large capacity hard drive, probably in a RAID configuration for more space and better performance, and then just taking a golden reference with 10k frames, and doing what you originally suggested.
One method of achieving what you are looking for without using a large reference file is through offline processing. This would allow you to acquire 10,000 consecutive frames, which I understand is one of your concerns, and then after the fact run them back through the analyzer. You would still be performing a looping type of action in TestStand or LabVIEW. The process would be:
1) Acquire your source from your 1491 provider with no processors, and saving the media stream to disk.
Loop:
2) Load PQA with the disk buffer provider instead of the 1491, the disk buffer file will be the acquisition from above
3) Point the start frame to your current location.
4) Perform your processor with the results.
5) Repeat and iterate to a new start frame location
This process is going to be much slower as you load and unload resources every time. If you choose to go this way, a better implementation would be to maybe consider doing 100 frames at a time, or some number larger than 1, because the processing time of handling the extra frames is going to be less than loading/unloading PQA.
Your second option is going to require more work outside of PQA to implement custom functionality through a Custom User Processor. Effectively this allows you to come up with a way to process incoming data in ways that you'd like. To do this you will need:
1) LabVIEW 2011 - Custom User Processors for PQA can only be developed in LabVIEW 2011. If you are under a SSP agreement with NI and only have LabVIEW 2012 currently, you still have access to older versions.
2) Vision Development Module - To perform your image processing
3) An unencrypted video source - Due to limitations of HDCP we can not expose the raw video feed to user processors.
In this user processor you would:
1) Load your static image/frame in directly, you wouldn't need to use the Media Ref input
Loop
2) Load the current frame from the incoming video array
3) Perform your video measurement with the Vision function, likely PNSR or SSIM since these are currently the only 2 referenced measurements in PQA.

Firefox, I would make sure you update your Desktop to Firefox 14.0.1, as the version you are running is quite old and out of date.
Then, do you have your Sync Recovery key, username and password? If you do, you can re-add Firefox Sync to your computer.
