Can I view iCloud using my old mail program?

When I moved to iCloud, I assumed I would still be able to use my old mail program to view incoming mail.
Is this possible?
Version 4.5 (1084)
Thanks

    Hi,
Not sure if any of you above have managed to solve your problem or not but after coming across this same problem myself today as I am currently 'sofa bound' I decided to make it my mission to find a way around it.
Initially I did think, having ready what seemed like a million questions and people with the same problem, that the only way was to buy OS X 10.5 ... HOWEVER, no. In among all these threads I found a jewel - Download I Tunes 9.2.1 which gets rid of the download itunes 10 advert and allows you to then buy from itunes again :-)  I am now one very happy lady.
I apologise to all those that dont have older versions of OS X that maybe wont support even this upgrade but certainly for those like me with just 4yr old lap tops at least it means it not longer means buying a new one.
Hope this helps son very frustrated people like myself - so much for apple support!

i changed my email address and now I can not access iCloud because the old address keeps popping up.

Is this happening on your iOS device or your Mac?
And is the iOS device or Mac signed into the old ID ("email") in Settings>iCloud (System Preferences>iCloud)?

  • *** Can anyone suggest a good automatic print mail program?

I'm trying to print from my iPhone email and the best I've come up with is a process that requires an auto-print email program. There are lots for WinBlows but I'm having a tough time finding one for Mac. Can anyone suggest a good auto-print mail program?
    Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure I understand, do you want to print from a Mac or iPhone?
I would imagine you can use Automator on the Mac to print all emails, or emails which meet a certain criteria. Not on the iPhone though.

    == This happened ==
    Not sure how often
    == always

Thank you, "the-edmeister" -- You render a great service, one that lifts my spirits.
Your answer also taught me to be a little more persistent, as I had started looking at Preferences, and just didn't notice the icons (including Applications) at the top of that window that would have led me to my answer.

  • Can we know buffers used for a particular program?(not for the instance)

Can we know buffers used for a particular program?(not for the instance)

You can do a runtime trace using ST01 but you won´t find out how much buffer a program "uses" since the buffer is shared for all workprocesses.

  • Why can't I login using my e-mail address anymore?

    Hello,
I've been using SDN for 8-9 months now. It's setup to remember me but in the last couple of days it would just hang when I tried to go to any SDN link.
I deleted the cookie and tried logging on using my login instead of e-mail and that works just fine. Tried logging in with e-mail again and it hangs.
So I thought maybe I had the wrong e-mail address in the system. I went through the process to request a new password which then e-mailed me the new password and it got to to me meaning that it has the right e-mail address.
So what's up? Did something change on SDN where I no longer can use the e-mail address to login?
    Thanks.
    David.

    Raj,
I sent an e-mail to SAP and this was their reply:
    Hello David,
I apologize for this problem but we are experiencing problems with the use of the email address in place of the userid number. Please continue to use the account number at this time. We hope to have this problem resolved soon.
    Kind Regards,

  • Viewing folders using Hotmail in Mail?

I'm using Hotmail in Mail and can only see Inbox, Sent and Junk folders.
How do I see all my mailbox folders?
    Thank you
(NB not sure if this is in the correct forum?).

I was trying to find something on it, but I cant get into the account anymore, I deleted my hotmail account after I signed up with Gmail.
~BUT, if it is the same, I would log onto Gmail, and then went to the Mail Settings, and they had a list of options of what you could push to your other email devices.
Hope its the same for hotmail!

  • How can I view icloud photos

How can I view my icloud photos? I lost my phone n need to get some pictures I originally back do I need to buy new phone n let as new to back up or can I just log in somewhere to view them

You can only view photo stream photos on an iOS device or computer that is signed into your iCloud account with photo stream enabled.  This requires Windows 7 or 8 if you have a PC, or OS X Lion (10.7.5) or higher if you have a Mac.  If you do, you can set this up as explained here: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/ios.html.  Note: you will only be able to access photo stream photos from the last 30 days; older photo stream photos are no longer in iCloud.
If you backed up your phone, your camera roll photos are included in the backup.  Restoring the backup to a replacement iPhone should recover them.  Note: be sure to do this soon as Apple removes backups for devices that have not been backed up for 180 days.

  • Hotmail PW updated, Can't use Mac book Mail program to check mail

    Hi,
I updated my hotmail.com user password .  I can log in on a hotmail web browser to check mail.
But if I check mail on the Mail Program on my Mac Pro,  the Mail program keep showing me
"Mail can't connect to the account Hotmail.com".
    Please help.

Thank you LexSchellings for your reply.
    I did the following procedure:
    * disabled the existing hotmail.com account,
    * add a new hotmail.com account with the same info.
    This solved my problem.
I found the non working hotmail.com account with incoming and outgoing servers are "live.com :-
For hotmail.com account , they should be:
    Incoming mail "imap-mail.outlook.com",
    Outgoing mail "smtp-mail.outlook.com"

  • Can't view file using Adobe Reader

I can't seem to view the file that was sent to me through email because I keep on getting an error that says something like "Adobe Reader can't view the file because it is either not a supported file type or because the file was damaged".
    Can anyone help me?
What do you think is the problem?
Any answer that can help me out is very much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Ronald

Hard to say without seeing the file but two most common reasons are 1. You are trying to open a file that is not a PDF 2. The file has been corrupted during an email transfer and is unreadable.
For the first, you need to open in the proper aplication. For the second, you would need to have them resend the file to you. To assure that it will open, it may be wise to have them Zip the file first then you can unzip it on your end and open it.

  • TS3276 I'm using the std Mail program in my iMac, I have OSX Lion 10.7.5 version. I am losing older emails. I'm not sure if they are going to icloud or just being deleted by some setting?? Usually affecting 3 month and older emails Any suggestions??

    Any suggestions??

I haven't dug nearly this deep, but I have the same issue.  I just migrated yesterday, and this behavior started immediately.  Mac Mail isn't completely offline on my Mac. (I have a tilde not an exclamation mark)  I can send from it, but all incoming mail goes to my phone. It's maddening!
I too have both @me.com and @mac.com addresses

  • Can I "Bounce" a message in the Mail program

Can I "Bounce" a massage in the Mail(5.2) program in Lion? It was an option in the Snow Leopard version of Mail.

Interesting, as when you read the GENIUS series of apple books, they tend to mention how this is one of the great features of Mac Mail.
I think WAS rather than IS. That is why it has been dropped from Mail. Non-effective any longer. 99.9% of people used it wrong and thus it became nothing more than a red flag to spammers.

  • How can I view 2 active windows within a program simultaneously?

Using Windows programs on a PC, I could often use the "Window" menu to access the commands (something like) "Tile Vertical" or "Tile Horizontal" to view 2 active windows within a program on the screen simultaneously with a click or 2 of the mouse. I am finding that with a Mac I must manually resize and position 2 active windows to view them simultaneously. Am I missing something or is the manual method my only option? Thank you so much for any suggestions.

Yes, it's the only built-in option. There are several third-party window managers that provide the type of functionality you are looking for. You can find them at CNet Downloads or MacUpdate. For example,
    Window Tiles
    FlexiGlass
There are others with varying types of features and options.
