Can I watch my slideshows on my television via a USB cable and if so how
I'm new to Apple so still learning! I wold like to view my slideshows on my television via an USB cable is this possible and how do I do it ?
I'd ask that on the forum for your model of mac. The video out capabilites vary from model to model.

I would like to watch my slideshows on my television, can I do this via a USN cable between the Apple Mac Pro and the televison's USB port
Sorry, but this is not possible. If you use your iMac as a "base station", you cannot use an Airport Express as a "wireless-to-wired" adapter.
The best solution for you problem is to buy at your local computer shop (a) a wireless router (which will share your DSL modem connection and provide a place to cable your iMac to) and (b) a wireless network adapter card for your PC. The wireless router will cost you around $50, the wireless adapter for the PC around $20-30. -
Do you have to down load Mountain Lion from the internet every time you need to do a clean install? or can you make a copy of Mt Lion onto a USB stick and install off that?
ThanksYes you can make a USB stick of Lion or Mt Lion. Use Lion Disk Maker after you download OS X from the internet.
For Lion you have to point the download to an external drive and watch when it completes and reboots the system to start the install disconnect the external. If you bought Mt Lion from the Mac App Store then you can download it from there and just cancel the install when it comes up on the desktop.
If you are downloading from the Recovery HD or from the Online Internet Recovery system, slightly different then the built in Recovery HD, then again you need to point it to an external drive and discoonect that drive when the system reboots to start the real install.
Then use Lion disk maker to create either a DVD disc or USB thumb of the install files. -
I just got an HP Stream 8 tablet with Windows on it. I have a Mac desktop running 10.6.8. I set up Home Sharing by making sure both had the same version of iTunes and I authorized the new tablet (desktop already was). (I haven't exceeded the number of authorized computers.) I would like to take some of the playlists I have on my desktop Mac and copy them into iTunes on the tablet. I hooked up the tablet to my desktop with a USB cable but wasn't able to get it to copy. I do not have WIFI....is there a way to do this by just having the tablet hooked up via the USB cable? If so, can someone please talk me through the steps necessary to do that? Thanks!
Did you erase the machine and set it up with your accounts or is the previous user still on it?

Hi, I have a problem with my ipad, I want to restore it but I can not. When I plug the ipad (off) it is not recognized by itunes, I turn the ipad, There are apple and the apple after you see the usb cable and itunes logo for just 1 minute and turns off and is no longer recognized by itunes.

In the attempt of updating my ipod touch, i am faced with the problem of not being able to be connected to the itunes in my computer (windows xp ) because my ipod touch got blocked up, leaving the icon of USB cable and itunes on my touch screen. I am asked to restore my ipod first, but i have tried using all the examples stated and still can't help. Please please, can some one help me out ? Ones in the process of trying, i see an error code: 1656 and most of the time nothing. Thanks

I was able to connect the first time, but after that my computer simply rejects the Iphone and nothing happens. The Iphone doesn't spin or try to reboot even! .
WHAT to do? I got it today.When you say it ignores your iPhone, do you mean it does not appear in iTunes if you launch iTunes? Or it does not appear in Finder? Or does not appear in iPhoto? Or you get an error message?

No, and that shouldn't be done with an AirPort Extreme or Time Capsule.

D13, thanks for these details. This an awesome clue. Are you able to connect to this Wi-Fi connection with other devices? Let's try a few steps to resolve this issue.
First, reset the network in Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network and power your device off/on.
Secondly, delete the Wi-Fi connection in Settings>Select your Wi-Fi>Forget this Network and the try to connect to that Wi-Fi again.
Lastly, try creating your Wi-Fi connection. Tap Settings>Enable Wi-Fi ON. From Choose a Network, select Other. Enter the Wi-Fi network name. Select Security. Select the Wi-Fi network type then select Other Network. Enter the Wi-Fi network password then select Join

There is no other way than to plug into a computer to restore the phone. You can use another computer to do so, but in case you did not back up to iCloud your data and settings will be gone.
