Can i watch tv through an app called "TVCatchup" on a normal tv without an aerial by using the iphone?

i have a TV in a room without an aerial socket, I use it simply for watching DVD's and playing Xbox. i picked up a cable the other week made by Belkin that allows connection from my iPhone4 to my tv but i wasnt sure if that is to simply view saved photos and videos, or whether i can wacth tv programmes through an app.
As it happens the cable didnt work and a follow-up search online proved that cable doesnt work with iPhone4/4S but the Apple Stores do sell a cable that will work with the iPhone4/4S, so my question as said is; can i watch tv programmes that are transmitted (persuambly wirelessly via my internet router) via an iPhone app, but on a normal tv using the Apple cable?
The cable obviously at one end has the iPhone/iPod etc plug and the other end is the red/yellow/white connectors.
Hope i have caused too much confusion, appreciate your help and feedback.

It doesn't work that way, sorry. When video out is being utilized, only the movie artwork (the cover or image) is displayed, and the actual movie is not displayed on the iPhone's screen.

Thank you for your time. I'm trying to avoid that because she can then simply turn on mail syncronization and then she could read my mail. Another reason is our password policy, that enforces changing our windows logon password every 90 days. Of course changing windows logon passwords demands changing exchange account logon info (password) on Iphone. I have read somwhere that there was an app but it was removed from app store. No, they cannot see this through Citrix. Citrix is only a 'window' for you to look into the company applications. You do not transfer info from the phone related to other activities.

If you open the Maps app where does that say you are located?
For location the iPod uses the location of nearby routers that are in Apple's database of routers and their location. Thus it appears that Apple's database is incorrect. You do not have to be connected to the router, just within range.
Apple periodically updates their database based on information they obtain from iPhones, The iPhone has to have turned on the option to send info to Apple. no one has found another way to get the location of a router added/corrected.
You can confirm that by going to well-know place with wifi like Starbucks or McDonalds

The operating systems for iOS devices and for Macs are completely different. Applications written for iOS won't run on a Mac no matter what fiddles you try with it. You can sometime extract data by opening the package, but it still won't do you any good. Look in the Mac App Store in your Applications folder to see if there are Mac versions or similar programs (iTunes login required).

You have a password, so good move on your part. Whether you erase it or the thief does, they still get to use the iPhone as theirs. Which is more important (pick one), protecting your data or punishing the thief?
Ringing occurs at the carrier. Chances are you're going to voicemail after only two or three rings. If you have an iCloud backup also a good move. Re-read my question in the first paragraph.

The Retrospect you used way back when is no longer around. The company was sold and that company produced a new version of Retrospect - Retrospect 8.x
So, as you've been told, you would have to be running a Tiger system with an old version of Retrospect software (5.x or 6.x - you would need to know) assuming you can find the software.
As best I can remember you cannot extract files from a Retrospect backup except using the software since Retrospect did not normally make a file by file backup rather it created an archive of the files in the backup. I'm assuming that the EMC/Retrospect people have told you that old Retrospect backups are not accessible by Retrospect 8.x?

If you are saying that you both have iCloud accounts and use the same icloud ID, then yes, the contacts will be deleted. The idea is that all devices using the same icloud ID are kept in sync. You need to use different IDs. You can keep the same iTunes ID so you can share the songs and apps. But use different icloud IDs.
