Maybe.
You should be able to open the version 8.0/8.0.1 project in 12, but there are no guarantees. The classical recommendation is to finish the project in the program that it was created.
When determining if you can or cannot, I suggest that you work with a copy of the Premiere Elements 8.0/8.0.1 project.
Several of the Title templates of version 8.0/8.0.1 used graphics with .tga file extension. The .tga format is not supported in Premiere Elements 12.
That is just one feature that would not be expected to translate from 8 to 12.
Are two different computers involved here? Where are the media for the version 8 project?

Hello, I am new to Creative Cloud and I am too sick to go into the office to work. I am wondering if I can work on Premiere Pro projects from home that have been saved to the Cloud. I haven't really been able to get a clear answer... Can anybody help?

2nd, as far as I know PPro will only work with local (on your hard drive) files, not files in the Cloud... but you may be able to work locally if you copy the project and media files to your computer

Can't work out what is wrong with my nano

The 4th gen Ipod nano isn't recognised by itunes and doesn't turn on, when I try to turn it on it comes up with an hour glass and doesn't do anything else.I have tried reseting it and charging it overnight but I can't work it out. I bought it off ebay so I'm worried it could be fake as I havn't heard of a hourglass coming up on an Ipod and I cant find it when I search it on google.
Does this happen to 'real' ipods?

Check the back of your iPod and you should see the serial number under the capacity label (it will be tiny text)
Enter the iPod's SN into Apples Warranty checker to see if there is any warranty left:

Can you turn in hours worked on the task list in Exchange if you turn on exchange integration? We are using Project Server 2010 and Exchange 2010. We want to turn on timesheets to report time and were wondering if you can use Exhange to
turn in hours worked on a task that you were assigned. Most people will use timesheets but for those individuals that only rarely work on a task in a project we want to allow them to turn the hours in on Exchange.

As per my undersatnding you want the resource to fill his no of hours worked in exchange server,
but the problem is like
The data you can update is not timephased, therefore you can only update the %complete or actual work.
You need to do some customisation to achieve the same.

Export release build fails with project created by Launchpad

When I try to export a release build (using Flash Builder 4.5) of a project created in Adobe Air Launchpad (p8_3-0-1_081911) I get the following error message:
"error occurred while saving the project settings: 'default' build target cannot be found for the selected project"
Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I solved this by creating a new project and copying everything across. But it was time-consuming work - especially creating all the new value objects and data services. Air Launchpad is a great concept and has helped me a lot, but this particular forum is dead.

Can you work while you repair permissions with disk utility?

I had read somewhere that it was fine to repair permissions while you run Safari and other apps on your Mac at the same time. Obviously, everything runs slower while you are doing this, but other than that are there any ill side effects from doing this? (i.e., are things not repaired for apps you are running, etc.?)
I've been searching all over the place for an answer on this and would appreciate an educated answer from the pros here. My assumption from what I know of permissions repair is that it's harmless, but I'd like an expert explanation.

Not that I'm aware of. It would be implied by the fact that you should repair permissions while booted into your normal system. Since hundreds of processes are already running apparently repairing permissions is not affected by them. Then again if you know what's involved in repairing permissions you would learn that it is simply a matter of reading information on a file and comparing it to the contents of a database. If there's a difference then fix the file information in the directory. This is not an operation that requires one to quit all open programs because the program data are not involved in the repair process. And having done this for 20 years I know there isn't a problem.
Hopefully you're now convinced it's OK.

IDVD crashing on MacBook with project created on PowerBook

Hi All. I have a question about iDVD crashing. When I try to open a (previously OK) ~ 1Gb iDVD project it tells me the content is too big to fit on a DVD (it isn't). Below is what it says about the project in that opening error message. Anyway, if I try to open the menu for "Project Info" iDVD crashes/quits. No error message, it just quits and drops me back into the Mac OS.
Oh yeah, I did all the work on iDVD on my PowerBook, I now just upgraded to a MacBook and the problem has begun since. The iDVD project is still "OK" on the PowerBook and I tried to recopy it from the PB to the MB but once again it crashes iDVD on the MB.
The PowerBook is OS 10.4.6 and the MacBook is 10.4.7 and both are running iDVD 6.0.2.
Any ideas?

If you want to movie projects between computers they need to be archived.......and include all the source files.

To archive your iDVD project:
Check the file permissions for the assets in the project and set them to Read & Write if you want others to be able to open or copy the assets in the archived project. Click the link below if you're not sure how to do this.
Choose File > Archive Project, and then click Save.
Type a name for your archived project.
Locate the folder where you want to save the project. The size of the current project is displayed in the Archive Project dialog.
Click "Include themes" if you want to archive the themes with the project. Select this option if you are using custom themes that might not exist on another computer, or if you want to be able to use your theme in future versions of iDVD.
Click "Include encoded files" so the project files won't need to be reencoded after being moved to a different location. To save time and hard disk space, leave this option unchecked.
Click Save. Your project is saved with the word "Archived" in the file name.
Is this how you moved them?

But, what is not realy clear for me, how can i connect content of archive link with newly created kpro document.

Hi Attila,
there is a difference between SRM_DOCUMENT_CREATE and ArchiveLink Documents.
If you use the SAP Standard Service Provider for Documents SRM_SP_DOCUMENT this
will refere to so called KPRO-Documents (KnowledgeProvider). This is totally different to
common ArchiveLink scenarios.
If you would like to use ArchiveLink Docs with attributes, there is the property unification in WebAS 6.40 available.

Why can I not use Premiere Elements 12 on PC with Windows 8.1 when the vidio is done with the same software on a PC with Windows 7?

I have made a Video on one PC with Premiere Emements 12 and want to continue on a PC with the same Premiere Elements 12 on and Windows 8.1. The systen wants other Codec.
What can I do?
By the way with Magix is it possible to work on both PC.

How did you go about transferring the Premiere Elements 12 project on Windows 7 64 bit to Premiere Elements 12 on Windows 8.1 64 bit.
Therein is what I believe is your problem. You in all likelihood do not have a codec problem of any kind, rather Premiere Elements 12 project on Windows 8.1 64 bit with disconnect between it source media and the project file. Here is how it goes.
When you import a file into Premiere Elements project, what you have in Premiere Elements is a copy of the original which is still at its hard drive save location. But the project must trace back to that original on its hard drive save location.
You may have the project.prel (project file) opening in Premiere Elements 12 on the second computer, but what I suspect to be the case is that you do not have the project media on that second computer.
If so....On the first computer, archive the project with File Menu/Project Archiver and its Copy Project option. Transfer the resulting saved Copied Folder to a USB Flash Drive which will be used to transfer the Copied Folder to the second computer. In the second computer, open the Copied Folder, right click the project.prel file in the Copied Folder, select Open With, and then Premiere Elements 12.
Did you set up disc menu in the Premiere Elements 12 Windows 7 64 bit project?
Please review and consider the above and let us know if any or all of that applies to your situation.

Does the error occur in OS X 10.9? If not, why not remain at OS X 10.9? Is it necessary to run OS X 10.10?
The general rule of thumb is that when you are running software that is no longer tested or supported on a new operating system, you have to prepare for anomalies like this. You may want to install a separate bootable hard drive with OS X 10.9 on it so you can continue running that software more reliably.

Regarding your first question about bookmarks, I think you discovered the answer in when you pressed the address bar. The second tab there has your bookmarks.
As for the keyboard, I'm not sure why your Firefox is reacting so slowly; mine seems to show keyboards even when I don't want them. If you have accumulated a lot of history, perhaps that's an issue?
Did you use any third party software to move your Firefox data from internal memory to the storage card?

Sharepoint list dataheet view error "Cannot connect to the server at this time. You can continue working with this list, but some data may not be available"

I have a List which is having around 14000 items in it.while opening that list in datasheet view it is giving error .
Below is a summary of the issue:
After selecting datasheet view beow error occurs:
    "Cannot connect to the server at this time. You can continue working with this list, but some data may not be available."
    "Unable to retrieve all data."
    The item counts displays say 100 out of 14000 items.
Exporting List to excel is giving only 2000 records out of 14000 records.
Other Observations   -
This is happening to only one list on the site .There are other lists in the site whose no. of records is equal to 8000 to 9000.They are working absolutely fine without any error.
Also, If I am saving this list as a template and creating another list with it ,then it is working absolutely fine with 14000 records,so the issue does not seem to be related with no. of records as the template list is working fine.
I have checked the Alternate access mapping setting ,its fine.
It should not be related to lookup,datefield or any other column as the list created from it template is working fine with all these columns.
I checked below links also ,but doesn't seem to work in my case.

I have spent two days to resolve this issue. Microsoft has released two KBs with reference to this issue...but are not appearing in search results at the top.
I am sharing my finding.
1. First install the
KB2552989 (Hopefully you might have already installed it. The KB detetcts it and informs the user.)
2. Then update registry by adding new key for data fetch timeout as mentioned inKB2553007
These two steps resolved the issue in our environment. Hope it might help others as well.
