Can I work on my computer while it's running a movie through Airplay

We play VLC movies through Airplay so we can view them on TV, but I can't work on my computer without disrupting the movie at the same time. How can I keep the movie playing while still being able to work on my laptop?

iTunes 10.7 does indeed work on OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion. Do you mean you have Mac OS X 10.5.8 Leopard? If so, and you updated your iPhone 4S to iOS 6 on some other computer, then you may be out of luck synching to your 10.5.8 system, but you can get and try 10.6.3 here:

See the product license agreements page for more information. Install the CC apps on the second machine and use the applications.

It seems I got it fixed!! I had been trying the Fixit tool from
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306759 while typing up there :))))
This tool is for changing RDP port but running it fixed my problem (I kept the port 3389 intact)!!

How can I continue using adobe Pro while OCR is running

We are using Acrobat Pro X, and deal with scanned PDFs that reach up to 300 pages. While OCR is running, Adobe cant open any other PDF files or let us work in it at all.

You can use Adobe Reader for viewing PDF files.

Can I switch off my computer while my nano is saying "Do not disconnect"?

Please help me. This morning I couldn't switch my nano off - only on the docking speakers so I looked at the online help, tried resetting and then decided to try the update and or restore. When I plugged the iPod in, iTunes asked me if I wanted to update the software so I said yes, updated it and then the computer said it needed to be switched off. I said I would switch off later (as my nano was plugged in and I didn't want to ruin it). Then I used the software to update the iPod - but afterwarsd it says do not diconnect all the time and iTunes says that the files are being used by another application. I have also tried restoring the iPod twice. Still the same. Now I am stuck with the iPod in the computer saying don't disconnect - WHAT CAN I DO PLEASE!

is it in disc mode? go to the bottom right of your start bar and find the little gray box looking thing with the green arrow pointing left, right click this and hit remove hardware, a dialog box will come up, click stop on usb storage device or whatever it says and it should say it is now safe to remove your hardware and your ipod screen should go to the main menu or the charging screen.

I can't print from network computer while in bootcamp

Although I can see the network printer while in Windows 7 on bootcamp, I can't get it to print. I am trying to print reports from Quicken 2012. Any ideas?

Then this could be a driver issue. What brand and model of printer do you have? I want to check what driver options are available for this model.
The other possible cause is the protocol you have used, although Windows is often better at selecting the correct protocol to use compared to Mac. To check what you are using on Windows, open Devices and Printers and select the printer. Then right-click its icon and select Printer Properties. Then select the Ports tab and then click on Configure Port. Is the queue configured to use LPD or RAW?

How do I import a project from an external harddrive so that I can continute working on another computer?

I have been working on a project on my iMac but had to continue work somewhere else on a friends MacBookPro. I copied all the relevant files on an external hardrive but there is not enough space on my friends computer to import the files there. My external is connected with firewire so I want to work with my files still on the external. But I cannot figure out how to do this. I've done some searches but haven't found the right answer.
I have all the folders as they were on my iMac, i just need FCP X to change where it looks for projects and events.

For better performance, all your projects, events and media should be on a fast external Hard Drive (formatted Mac OS Extended - journaled is not important for video) and not on the system drive.
Your friends MacBook Pro should pick up the events and projects OK - if not, download Digital Rebellion's Preference Manager (free, simple to use, and perfectly safe, both to download and use).
If this fails, try creating a new (admin) user on the MBP and run FCP X from there with the Hard Drive connected and running.

I'm trying to implement the display of a loading swf into a
papervision scene, as outlined by Paul Spitzer in his devnet about
video in papervision. This requires updating a bitmapdata object to
reflect the playhead position of the swf being loaded.
In my code snippet, you can see that all I am ultimately
trying to do is trace out the object being loaded, by referring to
loaderInfo.content. But if I try to run this code, I repeatedly get
the dreaded:
Error: Error #2099: The loading object is not sufficiently
loaded to provide this information.
At 50% load, I believe I should be able to access
loaderInfo.content. Is there a better way to work with
loaderInfo.content whilst loading an external swf?

Should not be a problem as long as you intstall 10gR2 into a seperate directory.

Is it possible to increase the precision on the PC-6052E by having an auto detection of the input signal and reducing the input range to increase the precision of the A/D conversion?
We are continuously acquiring the signal from DAQ Analog Input. Say input signal (range -10V to 10V) came in at 1V, can we reset the input range limit to (0to+1V) to increase the precision to 15.3microV instead of 305microV for (-10to+10V). i.e. To have an auto-detection mode for the signal and readjust the input range accordingly.

Configure the acquisition to sample the same channel multiple times, each at a different gain. Use a short (10 or 100 usec ?) interchannel delay so these samples are taken close together in time to each other. Then in software examine the data from all the gain setting to determine the highest gain that did not saturate. If the gains are well matched (a signal of 0.5 V gives the same data value on a 1V input range as on a 10 V range), then the values can be combined into one final data array. If not, then keep a running separate array for each gain and only use the array from the gain which did not saturate over all data values.

Error while streaming Xfinity TV GO app through Airplay

When I first downloaded the Xfinity TV GO App I had zero issues with streaming live tv but more importantly movies from my iPad 2. Now it is popping up an error every time I try to watch a movie. ESPN & ABC Family are the only two channels/movies that will stream. Any ideas on how to fix this issue? My Apple TV was bought new last Christmas.

It seems to be quite intermittent. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. Sometimes rebooting the phone makes a difference. My phone is normally on my Wi-Fi. But sometimes it will work on the AT&T lte net but not on the Wi-Fi net. You would think that Comcast could fix this since at the same times I can access other sites and other streaming videos. So it is clearly a bug in the Xfinity TV Go App and the way it works with Android and/or the Comcast stream servers. I would also like it if there were more channels that I could watch live, for example Comedy Central. I can watch the repeats later via the Comedy Central app but not live when it is on.

HT5517 How can I adjust sound level when streaming radio from my Apple TV through Airplay speakers?

I have a 2nd Gen Apple TV with an airport express set up as airplay speakers. I can stream the new radio through using the Airplay speakers pretty well. The problem is that once I've got it going, I cannot adjust the sound level without laboriously backing out of the radio menu, going back to the top level menu then drilling down into the Airplay settings to raise or lower the speaker's sound level.
Is there an easier way to do this?

go to system preferences > Sound > Output. then change the output from "built-in" to HDMI.

How can I turn on the computer while the back panel is off (removed). I tried to push with my finger on that little strange thing where the normal switch (on/off button) connects, but nothing happens.
Course, the power cord is plugged on...
